Worst store ever. I swear to god they mark up all of their prices to 25% MORE than whole foods! I tried to get their shitty, sub par macarons which when whole foods sold them were $ 1.50, Pcc sells those shitty, dry, cheap, crumble macarons for $ 2.50!!! The deli is horrible, not actual health food just food for foodies. The supposed manager there is literally a French Hitler I cannot believe the way she talked to me. I will never shop here again. Do us all a favor and go to whole foods where they don’t rape you up the ass with their prices for sub par items

I am a huge fan of PCC. I travel 20 – 25 minutes farther than my local store to shop here. I love all the products they offer but generally tend to stick to produce only and the deli section because their salads are amazing. However, I was in yesterday evening and was being helped by a woman behind the deli area. I noticed a woman pulling trays from the display and quickly asked«oh, can I get a ½ pint of that before you pull it»(thinking they were closing or packing up for the night) she rudely snapped at me in a completely inappropriate tone and proceeded to speak to me as if I were a toddler. She was in fact pulling those out of the case just to clean, which fine, okay I get it. But I don’t mind read your procedure, nor do I work there so how am I suppose to know that. When I retorted quickly«Wow, calm down» there was no apology, eye contact or explanation. I will take my business to Whole Foods. I don’t need to travel twice as far and pay double to be talked down by employees who salaries are paid off sales.

Though finding consistent food in the deli is a bit challenging the coffee is good and the staff are friendly. My only complaint is that there are so many cinnamon rolls int he bakery but not one is vegan or dairy free. =( I reccomend the Shot in the dark coffee and the curry chicken. Makes for such a yummt breakfast.

I have been into PCC three times, and all three times I find myself shaking my head at their prices. $ 2.79 for an avacado? $ 10.99 for a dozen sugar cookies? The prices are outrageous. I don’t understand why people would pay so much more for PCC stuff, when QFC is right across the street with $ 1.39 for an avacado and $ 4.99 for cookies… I understand people like organic food in the NW, but really… could it be worth twice the money?

PCC, I adore thee. Thank you for having things like organic coconut ice cream, freshly baked German pretzels and yummy things to grab on the go. PCC is expensive as hell so I will hardly be coming in but I will be here for the few specialty food items I enjoy. To give you an idea, it’s pricier than Whole Foods for the most part. You’ll be paying what you would for dining out at a nice restaurant for things like chicken and beef so what’s the point of buying it uncooked? However, there are some cool things here and if you’re super into organic and vegetarian foods and have the checkbook to cover it, you might not mind. Check out the bulletin board area next to the restrooms to find out what festivals and such are going on in the area. Sparkling clean with a mid-size parking lot.

I continue to love this store and am so happy that it came to the area. I’ve been a long time fan of PCC but could not make it nearly as often when I had to drive to Seattle to access it. Its small enough that it does not feel overwhelming and is super easy to pop in and out of. The parking lot has become a little bit more hectic since they built some other things in the lot, but its still manageable. It has a large variety of products and always something I am hoping for. There is a nice dry goods area. We end up purchasing beer here frequently. I now get mostly all my of my food to take to potlucks from the deli area. Most recently everyone raved about the vegan potato salad and could not believe it had no eggs or dairy in it. I’m a fan of the steph’s tofu and the emerald city salad as well. My non veg boyfriend loves that they have meat based items too. The soups are also good. I also often find myself substituting meals out to get food from the deli here instead. It does end up being a bit pricey, but is great to bring for picnics and every once in awhile some of the items are on sale. The outside dining area is a nice place to enjoy a meal too. If its too crowded there is some seating in the produce area as well. I have taken a few classes at this location and am always happy I did. My mother enjoyed her first experience as well. I look forward to the calendar coming out each quarter. I also highly recommend the walk, talk and taste classes if you have an interest in trying samples and asking questions. They have been doing some about different ones about topics like fermentation, dairy vs non dairy, etc. You can also find some coupons to save some money in the Chinook book which they sell in the store.

This review is long overdue. PCC edmonds is my favorite grocery store of all time! The produce section is always impeccably fresh and organic. They always have everything on my grocery list — including my random little specialty items. And the pre-made food section is delicious with options for anyone with dietary restrictions! And I’m probably the most diet restricted person out there— For example I can’t have refined sugar and they use only honey in their salad dressings! In fact, it’s so tasty Id rather go here over most restaurants. The ambience is also wonderful and all the staff are nice! I don’t know how anyone could have complaints. It really is the best in the greater Seattle area…

It feels like in Europe! I love going here for a fresh salad and/or a cup of coffee and enjoying it in their cooking course kitchen with big tables. Plus they have the best wine selection!

In order, the good, the bad and the Ugly. The positive: The checkers and the baggers are very nice and helpful, and the service at the deli and coffee/bakery are generally good. They do try to listen to customer input and they have refunded fresh food that was bad(It can occasionally happen that you find mold or other problems on preservative-free, organic fresh food). I do like that they carry organic, non-GMO, etc. They have also special ordered items upon request – very cool. I have also heard from a friend that their cooking classes are excellent. The Bad: This is not a health food store or store for healthy eating, and I think they sort of set themselves up that way with all their organic, non-GMO, etc.(they’re not the only store guilty of this, however.) Point: Their huge bakery, full of some of the worst sugary junk food, takes up the whole right entrance to the store – hits you full in the face the minute you walk in. I think that marketing choice says a lot, rather than having a bunch of delicious organic healthy products at the front. But hey, maybe that’s what people want. But not so fun for someone like me trying to avoid sugar. The Ugly: Sugar causes serious migraines and other problems for me – I can’t afford to mess around with it.(This is a common migraine trigger in people who get them.) Same with gluten. So I have to read ingredients on EVERYTHING. It’s a royal pain, but I have no choice. I’ve read the ingredients on every single dessert type thing they sell at this location – even muffins – and 99.5% of it has sugar. I had a very bad experience here at the bakery. By now, most people are on to sugar being thinly veiled by descriptions like«organic evaporated cane juice.» But I bought some muffins and dessert products once because I was so thrilled I finally found something with no sugar! After eating them, I experienced horrendous, debilitating migraines. I looked again at the ingredients, and there was one ingredient I didn’t recognize called«Florida Crystals.» I guess I passed right by it because sugar wasn’t listed, so thought it was okay. I called up the bakery and asked what«Florida Crystals» were. They said it was sugar. Then why don’t they call it what it is? Florida Crystals? That is so so wrong – especially when you have people with serious allergies out there. Egads! Enough said.

I really don’t know what I’d do without PCC. The produce is great, prices are very reasonable and I absolutely rely on them to keep my household supplied with nutritious and environmentally responsible groceries and household supplies. I’ve had my own membership for 35 years, though my mom used to bring us in the 1960s. I remember it being very small and having a lot of bins full of carob and things that didn’t thrill a little kid — wow, has that changed over the years. :D The bulk bins alone probably save me $ 100s/year and allow me to try new things with little investment(nuts, spices, rarely used flours and grains, etc.) Occasionally I have to shop at a local chain grocery store — I know they try and stock organic produce, but I end up disappointed 75% of the time. It’s pricey, not fresh like PCC, it’s been on the shelf too long, I end up composting WAY too much of it. I can’t even recall the last time I had to toss anything from PCC. It confuses me to no end when people comment about it being expensive. I know my prices and spend very little more at PCC than if I were to shop at a chain. Though they’re delicious and worth it, the deli and hot bar items can really add up. Perhaps the complainers don’t really cook and purchase a lot of convenience items? Dunno… I tend to mainly buy veggies/fruit and whole foods that I prepare myself. My boyfriend does buy a lot of deli items to get him through the week. So much better than going out to lunch. The classes I’ve taken were really good, highly recommend.

Customer service is something that I think is lacking in so many different companies these days but when you have a great customer experience, it’s worth noting. Went out to PCC natural markets today to grab a quick snack and the dish they gave me was very inconsistent from what they usually prepare! I usually do not complain, but I wanted them to at least know in case they were unaware. They decided to make a fresh batch right away, refunded my money, and made sure that I left with the right quality! Do I pay a little extra for quality, yes! but is it worth it? absolutely! Well done PCC!

This review applies primarily to the pricing and service. The building is gorgeous, and nearly brand-new, I think. The parking is OK, if not great. And the selection appears to offer as good a lineup of produce, meat, fish, etc., as you can find around here. If you just want to get in and get that stuff, then you can safely ignore this review. They’re right across the street from an established chain supermarket, in the nicer part of Edmonds where the view homes are. It’s right on the main drag down to the ferries, in fact. It’s a big building with a comically maze-like parking lot that couldn’t possibly have been designed with keeping traffic moving as its prime directive. It seems to have been designed with the idea in mind that it would be different from parking lots in other supermarkets, and make you feel like you were shopping somewhere unusual even before you got out of your rig and actually started shopping. Oh, well. I guess people put up with what they’re willing to put up with – but, seriously, the lanes here are single-file only, and you’re asking distracted suburbanites to make sure they note the one-way arrows. I drove around and around, avoiding wrong-way drivers, trying to find a spot. Inside, there’s a seemingly endless array of fine foods, with an emphasis on local, fresh, organic items, but aimed at foodies rather than health nuts(this is a long-established concept by now, not news – other supermarket chains do the same. Just an observation.). The prices are sky high, maybe the highest around, even with a WF up the hill now. Buying organic means supporting independent farmers and paying a bit more, but prices on many fruits and vegetables here range from double what you’d pay at a farmer’s market up to five times as much, or even more, on some items(especially things that aren’t quite in season yet, but are about to be). I’ll pay more for OG, but FIVETIMES as much? Come on, man. More irritatingly, the service here seems to focus more on knowledge than it does on actually interacting with customers. We needed to feed a bunch of teenagers, including athletes who eat a ton. To cook a meal for five, they suggested a pound of salmon. We misunderstood, and pointed out that only one or two of the kids could eat that much, and they laughed derisively and said that would be enough for five people total. We figured this was our misunderstanding and worked to place an order that would feed the kids and the grownups, and they continued to argue with us about our order – it was like they didn’t want to cut off part of another filet and bruise the aesthetics of their fish case. It’s not like they were busy, either. There were four of them, and we were the only customers. I don’t mind misunderstandings, and I don’t mind cockiness in small doses, but if we have to debate you at length in order to sell us the fish we want(which is a good money maker for you…), then why are we even here? I doubt we’ll return.

Now I know where to hang out when the lights go out again! MYGOODNESS!!! I think this power outage made my OCD worse! Joke… After 10 hrs of suffering and driving endlessly up and down Aurora Blvd and Hwy 99, I have had enough nonsense! I couldn’t find any open stores but PCC. I realized I had no more water and no candles so I bought candles to last me for good six months. Hahaha! I’m ready for more Zombie days! Anywho, PCC for all of you who live around Edmonds, they have their own generator ppl. I thought I would have to go to my work and spend the night there if this nonsense continued! I’m just laughing about all this but really… «Thank you PCC» for being around – for having water and candles(great candles – totally worth a buck twenty a pc.) I think I bought all of them. I’m very thankful you are in my neighborhood!!! :-) Great staff, clean, here in Edmonds! The best town in Seattle! Next review? Perhaps, PUD of Snohomish??? Maybe… hahaha

I love PCC and this one’s so close to where I live! I’m so grateful there are more organic/gmo free markets opening up so I don’t mind supporting them. Prices are a bit expensive for some things but I love choosing a healthier option for myself when I can. They have almost everything you can think of here and the food is so fresh. Whatever organic produce Costco doesn’t have, PCC will never fail to have. I also like how they have organic lotion, soap, sunscreen, etc.

It’s okay, I think the quality isn’t as great as other markets. Do I really need $ 8 eggs? I understand their organic. Pcc needed in Federal way, Kent Tacoma areas. The chicken I had was not good, to get rid of all the blood it turned out all dry. Pizza choice similar to anyplace. What they need is more gluten free pizza slices and dairy free. I cannot buy greasy pepperoni without feeling lousy in 30 minutes. My favorite location is Edmonds. I love their frozen foods, Amys has ice cream and if you go to their website they will send you coupons.

I dream of the day we have a PCC in the far north end. Given the option of Whole Foods, Central Market, and PCC, this is my favorite although the prices reflect the top-notch quality of their products, service, and ambiance. Similar items typically cost less at the aforementioned competitors. I’m in love with their deli, and due to the it’s convenient proximity to my workplace, I could come here daily for lunch! Self-check option available and plenty of seating both inside dining and out. I’d love to sign up for a cooking class here sometime.

PCC is a nice store. In my ranking of similar stores it’s 3rd after Central Market and Whole Foods based on selection, shopping experience, and value. I think the selection is rather slim and the prices are very high– even the sale prices. If you want to spend $ 17 on a whole organic chicken this is your place. PCC is one of the only non-Indian stores I’ve seen carrying paneer. That is awesome. It’s very expensive here though. Props to them for carrying pints of Full Tilt!($ 5/pint isn’t bad considering the price you pay in the shop.) Staff is nice and helpful here. This is where I was first recommended Santa Maria seasoning which I have used for years now. They have a great meat/fish section. This location is very hippie friendly as in energy efficient, environmentally responsible yada yada. They have natural lighting, electric car charging stations, and rain gardens in the parking lot. Good salad bar and deli. I like their pizza a lot. I’m a fan but don’t have enough $$/don’t feel guilty enough to do much shopping here.

This PCC is the only one in Snohomish County and the farthest location to the north in the chain. As PCC locations go, this is quite a nice store. I had no idea there was one in Edmonds but was glad to come across it while driving in the area. I stopped at this PCC to grab some lunch before heading to the waterfront to take some pics. This location seems larger than most of the PCC stores that I have frequented. I would say it is about the size of the Fremont store. They have a huge deli section with plenty of food choices to be had including plenty of refrigerated items that make it easy to pick up something to go. Was looking for a sandwich from the case. Unlike other stores, sandwiches at PCC are priced based on weight which gives you the option to pick out the one that works best for your budget and appetite. There is a good mix of meat and vegetarian options that will please everyone. The fresh mozzarella sandwich that I had was delicious. In addition to the deli, they have a bakery section as well as a coffee bar and a gelato case. The prepared foods section here is almost on par with Whole Foods, though it does not have as extensive of a selection of hot foods. The coffee bar selection does seem better however. In addition to coffee drinks, they have a self serve drip coffee area. There was more than one type of coffee to choose from including Tony’s Coffee and Caffé Vita(Theo Blend!). The parking situation is great. The store has a large lot so you should not have a problem finding a space. And the location is just up the road from the Edmonds Ferry Terminal. Pretty much a straight drive. It is very convenient to grab something to go at PCC before or after the boat ride depending on where you are heading.
