Who has time to take pictures. The minute it was set in front of me I just ate it as fast as I could. Prices are amazing and the quality of food is delicious. Stop going to those wannabes sandwich places and only come here.

Best deli sandwiches at an affordable price. Husband & wife are so friendly too! They provide excellent food and excellent customer service!

Came here and they were closed during hours they say they are open… I’m sure they have good food though

When was the last time you were at a deli where the most expensive sandwich is $ 5.50? 1998? Also, how many hole-​in-​the-​wall sandwich shops serve a $ 5 torpedo that includes capicola? Good meat. Fresh bread. Delicious sandwich. Just remember to bring cash, because they don’t take plastic.

First off, its $ 5. You get crappy Subway, half-​assed, scummy subs for $ 5. Not these — they’re fresh, they’re home made, and they’re good. The couple who run this shop are awesome, which makes it even better. I order here three times a week MINIMUM.
I’ve only had the Grand and the Benny, so I cant give any other comments on whatever else they offer.

Really excellent sandwich, super fresh hand crafted. We had the calif deli works and the veggie they both had lots of avocado and tasted really great.

Very good sandwich shop. I had the California-​super good and my daughter has the tuna sandwich-​also amazing. Super nice people, the lady kept giving my son ham which and it was gone in a flash. Bring cash before you get here. No ATM or card machine. This place is well worth another try.

I went here for the first time today. OMG, the California on Rye bread was amazing! It taste so good! Everything tasted very fresh. The prices are very reasonable. The customer service is great. Their very friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be returning here!

Have you ever ordered something and thought, «Wow, this tastes like I just made it myself at home» These sandwiches are not only affordable, but the ingredients are so fresh, and the bread is just the best. Some of our dealership employees are on a fixed budget, so paying $ 5 for a sandwich loaded with meat and veggies on the freshest bread ever is a real treat. The couple that owns this deli are just the happiest people on the planet.

A delicious veggie sandwich for only $ 3.99. That’s a steal. I got the sandwich on rye and it came with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, avocado and cheese. I think she put italian dressing on it as well, which was a nice touch. My mom used to do that when we were kids, so it brought back some fuzzy feelings.
It is a family owned hole-​in-​the-​wall with good sandwiches and friendly faces. It is ran by a husband and wife who are very friendly.
The only thing that keeps them from getting 5-​stars is the woman didn’t wash her hands properly. It was a 5 second wash, which we all do in our own kitchen’s from time to time, but we are not serving strangers and handling money. And we all know where our own hands have been. It really grossed me out but I tried to not think about it too much and just eat the sandwich. I am sure worse things happen to the things we are eating, we just don’t see them.

Just picked up and inhaled my first sandwhich from here. Oh wow it was delicious! I was craving egg salad so i Unilocaled sandwhiches saw this place and it hit the spot. Very soft bread, great egg mix it was perfect.
VERY nice owners, super polite and the lady had a great sense of humor. I left with a big smile on my face. That is how it should be when you go somewhere to get food.

I’m in the SD area on business for the week and can’t find this place. Just writing this to let the business know. Also this place doesn’t show up on Unilocal for being in the area. Only time it shows up is looking for restaurants in the area. On the gps you show up in the middle of the street. Just letting you know. In the description it might help if you put «by auto shop». Or whatever. Pretty sure if I was a local to the area I’d find it.

This deli is the BEST. My coworkers and I love it, and we strive to come here periodically. My coworker’s usually order the Californian, and they consider it a delicious sandwich that your mom would make. I order the vegetarian on rye, and it’s also very fresh and tasty. They use fresh cheese of your choice, fresh avocado, and veggies. It’s so good.
However the deliciousness is second best to the welcoming, quirky couple. They are so funny. One time I arrive during closing hours, and I was so disappointed that I forgot that they close early at 2:30pm. They were packing up, and they could have just ignored me, but the wife decided to do Egyptian moves in the window. Instant mood changer.
We will continue going here for our deli delights. This is still the best deli in El Cajon.

I work right by this deli and we order from there regularly. They have great sandwiches and are very cheap. It’s a small shop that is family run. They are all very polite. My favorite sandwich is the egg salad sandwich, it’s the best. The Californian is excellent as well… Turkey, bacon, avocado deliciousness. Definitely recommend!

This little mom and pop deli makes some pretty good sandwiches for a very reasonable price. I stopped in for lunch and had the nice Chinese lady behind the counter make me the California on rye, which came with turkey, cheese, bacon, and avocado. In lieu of mayo, I had her put spicy mustard which you can see bursting through the bread (
). Only $ 5.00!
The sandwich was very good. The rye bread was very moist and its rye flavor was very pronounce and quite good. All the ingredients, including the turkey slices, avocados, lettuce, and tomatoes were fresh (
), but the bacon was not strips but pieces here and there. I would preferred several strips of bacon so that you could taste it in every bite, not just every other. By the way, that spicy mustard that permeated through the bread, was not only spicy, but tasted great (
). I’m pretty sure it was Chinese spicy mustard.
The couple who runs this little deli are very nice. The deli is old school and they only accept cash, but you will get a great sandwich…

I got hungry while waiting for my car service… El Cajon Mitsubishi employees recommended… So glad I came by — the sandwich was fresh, soft tasty bread, made to order and a good price. ($ 5). The owner/​operators are very friendly (the wife and I were stuck on the same level of Candy Crush! LOL).
Don’t let the little ‘hole-​in-​the-​wall’ look/​feel deter you from a great lunch!!!

This place is great. Small restaurant run by a cute couple. They were extremely friendly and my sandwich was delicious and only $ 5. Will definitely eat here next time I’m in the area.

This place has amazing sandwiches, FRESH, and the customer service is amazing. Owned by husand and wife, only open during the day and on weekdays. Little hole in the wall, you would just miss it but FANTASTIC. I get there california deli with extra avocado and rye bread.
