I think this is a great little hole in the wall place. I especially like their eggplant parmesean, Caesar salad and pizza.

Best pizza place I’ve ever been to. Seriously. Where do I start. First off, customer service was amazing. I don’t like to compliment unless you deserve it but I am a bit of a hassle at anything I do, so I gave them a rough time. I ordered my meal for a group of 12 of us who were having a little get together. And I wanted to pick it up as I was bringing it over to my friends. They had everything ready as I was walking in. Let me know the last item was being wrapped up. And before I could finish paying, hot food was in my possession. Awesome. Took to my get together and everyone ranted about how good it was. Crazy right? Doesn’t look like all that busy of a place when I went in, but man it should be. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Not to mention, the cook was covered in tattoos and pretty darn good looking if you ask me. Thanks everyone at italia pizza. You’re the best.

While I only gave it 3 stars I would give any other pizza delivery in the area 1 star. With that being said the menu has a lot of variety to it. Most of the ingredients are better than what you get from other pizza shops in the area. Now here is the down fall. The sauce is wrong. While it is a solid meat sauce for pasta, when you put it in a calzone or on a pizza everything turns into a mess. The cheese slides off because it is a very thin sauce. When baked in a calzone it keeps the inside too moist and the dough does not cook all the way through. It’s just gummy. Next time I’m avoiding the sauce all together. All in all I’d rather have this than Pizza Hut but it is not the best pizza I’ve had.

This restaurant is very, very underrated and really needs to get the praise it deserves. Although it is in a neighborhood section of a city that is not really known for food, this place outdoes any other Italian food in the area. Great place for a lunch with a drink and slice special for under $ 5. I once went in for a slice and enjoyed it so much that I ordered a whole pizza to take home. You will definitely enjoy this place too. Try and help the small business that seems to be struggling. Great owners and employees. Reminds me of the teen movies of those pizza shops that students in high school would work in the summer time to make money. Great, authentic place!

I use to love this place because they delivered & had really good food. Now all of a sudden they don’t deliver to my area and was told they never have. That’s funny cause you did last month & it’s not like it was free, I paid a delivery fee on top of the hefty price they charge. Was told the owner said no even though I was ordering over $ 50 in food and they have delivered up here over five times. Guess he doesn’t care about loyal repeat customers. Would never go back or refer this place again.

I had not eaten here in a while, so I figured why not? Big mistake. First, when I was on the phone ordering my pizza the person who took my order was less than friendly. Second, I got the pizza home and while eating it I noticed the taste was a little off. Third, the Parmesan cheese smelled like it was extremely old and possibly expired, and the taste was not pleasant either. Later on that night, I woke up feeling very sick and ended up puking and continually getting sick all night long. This place is best avoided!

I have been getting pizza here for 25 years… it’s changed hands during that period but the quality is still there. Pizza is a personal thing and I have never not enjoyed their pie. delivery drivers were always pleasant and their ingredients are stand outs. I can’t understand why anyone would rate this place less than perfect… huh!

We ordered this for a client meeting and lunch, so we made a fairly large order. When I called in to make the order the day before we needed it delivered, I spoke with the owner who was very helpful and had very good customer service. He was really attentive over the phone, and when I asked for plates, napkins, etc. he was very nice and provided them for our meeting. Unfortunately, after the pizza arrived and people started eating(everyone started eating immediately after the pizza arrived), the pizza was not good. The pizza was dry and it seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. It was not good at all, no one got up for seconds, and a lot of it was thrown away. This was our first experience with this pizza place, and although the customer service was great, we will not be ordering again.

Pretty good special. $ 3.99 for 32oz fountain drink and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The pizza was pretty big and made to order so it’s nice and fresh. They also have a $ 5.99 special for two pieces of cheese pizza and 32oz drink. Good to split between two people if you not that hungry.. I’ll be back.

By far the best Italian food in east county !!! We had the anti pasta which had all the right veggies. Also ordered the calzone and I’ll tell ya its hard to find a spot in San Diego who makes a decent calzone. and italia pizza is your place for Italian food.

Great Pizza and friendly service… a great place to take the family. Did I mention great pizza? Don’t take my word for it, go and try it. I live in Chula Vista and will be making the trek here for good pizza in the future.

Quality isn’t CHEAP. There is a reason this place has been in business for so long. It’s because the food is worth the price. They have proven that to ME and my family at least a dozen times through delivery or dining room experiences. Quality and great flavors are what I expect and receive, every time.

This guy is always there, every time I go there it is always good, fresh and made to order… No matter if it’s the pizza guy with the crazy hair or the white boy in the blue cap… It’s always good!!! I’m from queens NY and I might be a little partial to mom and pop style restaurants, but this is the best I’ve found in east count This is the most extensive review I’ve ever given so enjoy this place I wouldn’t waste your time Ron

If I could rate this business at 0 stars, I would. The owner/manager of this place is completely unprofessional, and unfit to manage any type of staff, or run any type of business. I called to voice a complaint and he told me to go away. It was incredible. For the completely incompetent manager, who couldn’t even manage to stomach a complaint. Do something else with your life, because you’re terrible at this. You would think that, since the real professionals are just down the street(marichero’s and pernicano’s), the customer service would at the very least be quality, that’s not the truth here! Taking my business elsewhere, you should too!

I’ve have seen several advertisements for this place for a while now. Today, I finally came by to try one of their pizzas. The place is average in size and holds approximately 26 patrons. It looked like, while I was there, that they take a lot of take out orders. I also learned they have been at this location for 25 years. I ordered the 12″ Margarita pizza for $ 11.95( ), and I could not resist a side of home made Italian sausage in red sauce. The pizza was great and it had just the right amount of garlic that was noticeable through out the pizza, the sauce was mellow and not over powering, and the basil and cheese were perfect. The crust was good. It had a nice crunch on the outside, but it missed on that nice chewy inside. Overall, I was very satisfied with my pizza. The sausage was great as well. I love it when you bite into a nice sausage and the first thing you taste is fennel and salty seasoned pork meat. The sausage had a nice flavor and was moist. It came smothered in sauce and grated parm.( ) I ate one, and I plan to make a sandwich out of the second one tomorrow. The two sausages with sauce were only $ 3.50. This place satisfied my taste buds. It’s not the most loveliest looking place, but it works! I Like sausage HeRe!
