Armadillo pizza is great! They always deliver great tasting pizza that’s still hot when it gets to my house. It’s very reasonably priced (I think it’s significantly cheaper than Round Table…) and the guy who always delivers the pizza to our house is a really friendly guy — he always waves and says hi to my two year old (who also loves the pizza!)
Great little pizza joint — It’s our go to delivery pizza place :)

Great pizza, great value, and fast delivery.
I don’t often eat pizza crust, but make an exception with Armadillo. The crust, sauce, and toppings are all fresh and flavorful.
If I had more time to program my Amazon Echo… «Alexa, order pizza» would always deliver a Large Armadillo House Special pizza to my door.

Meh. The crust is too doughy for my taste. The whole thing reminds me of Papa Johns or mediocre airport pizza. It would be fine for kids that aren’t picky.

Reasonably priced, fresh dough, standard California style pizza. If you like thick, fluffy dough this is a good place for you. Nice for family dinners, probably not what I’d order in for parties though.

No delivery to Berkeley. I ordered dinner for my family from this place and never got it. They said it would take 45 min to deliver. After an hour and 15, I called to inquire. The person who answered the phone said they couldn’t find the house and had called, but he wrote down both the wrong address and the wrong phone number. I even corrected him when he read it back. The driver finally called because he couldn’t find the house number. I went outside to look for him and he was no where to be found. He was in the wrong town. I live less than 3 miles away, and their website clearly states they deliver to North Berkeley — but apparently they don’t. They called to say so. With two hungry kids past bedtime, it’s too late. My advice — specify your city and ZIP if you order delivery.

I always come in here and buy by the slice. It’s the best pizza by the slice in the area because they don’t just slap a cold piece of pizza into the oven. They paint the slice with a fresh coat of sauce and sprinkle it with new cheese. The crust is toasted until it’s crispy and perfect. It’s well thought out and totally yummy.

This place is hands down the best pizza joint in the Bay Area. I’ve been going here since I was a little girl and now 25 years later I happily still order here and bring my children. The pizza is amazing you can tell everything is homemade, definitely try all the specials!

This is great pizza! The best in the East Bay in my opinion — and the opinion of lots of people I know. Friendly and prompt service and good prices. Try the red onion and artichoke combination for a special treat (our favorite).

Pizza is ok… but called at 9:15 pm on a Sunday when they close at 10pm. Tried to order a large pizza for delivery, an order of lasagna, and a salad. They said it was too late to deliver (isn’t the standard most places 30 minutes before close? I literally live like a mile and a half away)… they also said they had no lasagna, no salad (really? throwing together some greens with croutons, cheese, and dressing is too pressing?), so I wass like FINE. Let me relook over the menu I will call back in literally two minutes with a new order because we will need more food. We will come pick it up, WHATEVER. The guy on the phone basically said no you can not order just I’m sorry I have to go I have to go. And even after was I was like fine I will just order two of the same pizzas he kept repeatedly saying he had to go and hung up on me.
So professional let me tell ya! Go for Roma Pizza… their pizza as just is good and they actually don’t treat their customers like complete garbage. If you don’t want to work past 9 pm, don’t advertise you close at 10pm. How hard is that?

Just moved here from Brooklyn and this pizza is now my and my partner’s new favorite pizza. We ordered a Medium pepperoni, it arrived in about 30 mins and was so hot and delicious! I have never had a delivery pizza so hot and fresh. The sauce is the winner here, and I’m a sauce lover (I usually ask for extra but this didn’t need it).
Was even great the next day. We usually order a large and nearly finish it, but the medium did the trick. So stoked to find this place, totally check it out!

Armadillo makes a terrific pizza that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. You cannot beat their old fashioned pizza (no butternut squash here). The crust is great, the sauce is fine, and the toppings are better than generous. Go someplace else if you’re wanting the arugula or squash topping. Go to Armadillo for a great traditional pizza.

They make great pizza and good garlic bread!
Delivery is cash or check only. Credit cards are taken in the restaurant. While the delivery took an hour when told 30 minutes, I wasn’t that mad. The pizza was very garlicky but good. Which my husband loved.

This pizza is about as good as you can get it anywhere. They’ve been in business for over 20 years making pizza that is fresh and just solidly made. The main thing for me is the crust — theirs is very light and the perfect balance of both crispy and chewy.
I have to admit that I’ve lived in the area nearly all my life and passed by for years because the name of the place made me wonder, but I got over that quick enough after having their pizza.
