Tried to close early. Website and sign on dooe said they close at 7pm. Tried to close at 610pm. Guy was a jerk. Very rude. Will never go there again unless the guy who was working Saturday 5÷30÷2015 is fired.

This is a nice little shop that looks like it has a small selection, but it actually has everything you need for smoking anything you want. I tend to be more interested in the glass smoking pieces than the tobacco products and vaporizers. The glass is very reasonably priced, the owner is a super nice guy who even gives me small discounts sometimes, and the store has all the other stuff I need (like incense). Also, the owner is quick, though not pushy, so you don’t have to wait that long for service (if people are ahead of you) or to get your stuff and get outta there (when you’re checking out). If you’re into tobacco, then this store is probably like a lot of others. But if you’re looking for glass or vaporizers to smoke the other stuff (with a prescription of course), then you can find what you need here and they always seem to have what I need even though the place looks small.

I’ve gone to Telegraph Ave all these years for my smoke-related needs — just out of habit, I guess, since i went to school in Berkeley. But I just discovered the Tobacco Outlet in El Cerrito and it looks like my days of venturing out to sometimes sketchy South Berkeley/Telegraph Ave are over!
As others have noted, the guy behind the counter is friendly and helpful, plus there’s parking and the prices are reasonable. So yay, i no longer have to mess with Berkeley traffic (at least not for my smoke-related needs)!

I like this place very much. Everything is clean, the shop workers are honest and helpful. It is attached to adult book shop so the same workers are between the two shops. A lot of tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, Water pipes/Hookas, e-cigarettes, accessories lighters and papers all available at this convenient little tobacco outfit. Very nice selection for such a small shop, and great service.

Needed a refillable lighter (it’s so easy being green) so I popped in here. Limited selection but the guy found me a cheap one and he was very friendly about it. I will return if in need of a tobacco shop in the area.

Whip-Its and Bongs and Cigarettes, oh my!
My mouth still on fire from the jalapenos in my AWESOME vietnamese sandwich (see:
), I poked my head in to check out this little smoke shop. At first glance it looks like a cheap place to buy cigarettes. Meh.
Looking around a little longer, it turns out they’ve got all kinds of other fun stuff. Their hand blown glass pipes and other head-shop paraphernalia is cheaper than the fare you’ll find on Telegraph and the guy behind the counter is über-friendly.
Worst of all, I’ve found a place to buy whip-its within walking distance of my house. Dangerous!
