First year with Ethos, my son came in new into the club with a lot of enthusiasm, no pre-existing network, no favors. He loves it, and thrives with his skills development & finding his own player personality. Coach is respected, professional, his focus is long-term strategy to build each player & their skills, making them all part of the TEAM. Whole family enjoys social side of Ethos. We are ready for another season!

I have experience with this club. It was born out of another seperate mis-managed soccer club in EDH called El Dorado United headed by Henry Reis. Since ED United basically went down in flames due to unethical business conduct, it created a vacuum for Ethos to exist. With that said, some coaches from the old ED United came over to become coaches in certain age levels for Ethos. As a result, many of the teams in certain age brackets became highly political with gate-keeping of certain players and their parents out of the league. This was just ugly to witness in our community. The political tone starts at the top with the Board of Directors. It seems EDH has not learned their lesson when it comes to putting kids first in sports. They provide lots of lip service about fairness and ethical behavior but i don’t see reality. Seems this organization is more about the parents than the kids/players. Case in point. Ethos is not very competitive in the higher age brackets, yet they still charge the $ 300 a month coaching fee. I think you would be much better off playing for the EDH or Folsom soccer clubs that don’t even charge coaching fees. Their teams are just as competitive without all the politics. Frankly, it’s what we call a bad«little league» experience… Your mileage may vary. If you see out-of-control parents screaming at the top of their lungs on the sidelines during games… run…don’t walk… btw…There are only 2 – 3 Elite competive soccer clubs in this area. If your kid can’t make those teams, then everything below these teams(excluding rec) is pretty much the same level. Do the math…$ 300 a month = 9 months = $ 2,700×7 years of playing = $ 18,900 soccer tuition… hummmmm $ 20k investment??? Are the Ethos coaches actually 20,000 times better than the coaches at EDH and Folsom whom don’t charge for coaching?
