The Cut and Colour Bar

Mary is amazing. She is magical! I have made the mistake a couple of times of going to someone other than Mary, only to be disappointed and have to come crawling back to have her FIX my hair. I’ll never go anywhere else. She does exactly what you ask, but also offers suggestions based on her professional opinion. The place itself is really neat, too. Very cool set up and atmosphere. All of the people who work there are so friendly and I’ve only heard great things about all of the other stylists!

At the risk of creating future scheduling problems with my longtime stylist and color guru, Krystina, she and her cohorts at The Cut & Colour Bar deserve to be praised for their wonderful talent, creativity, and hospitality. Their salon is sleek, yet comforting; trendy, yet still welcoming to ordinary people like myself. Krystina is a gifted stylist and superb colorist, performing consistently amazing work. Interpersonally, she is gracious, confident, calm, comedic, and, most importantly, patient.
I highly recommend Krystina and this salon to anyone and everyone.

I love this place, I live in Austin and still come here to get my hair cut by Krystina! She does an amazing job and I always get compliments after my appointments with her. I also love that you can book your appointments online. That way I can look at a calendar while I’m booking and don’t have to step out of work to make a call. I was fooling myself thinking I’d found a hair place I liked and trusted, THEN I found The Cut and Colour Bar. I discovered that there are people who will actually have a personal conversation about your hair and not just try to sell a product or a look. Krystina is amazing and Mary is queen, for sure.
Their products are exclusively Davines and I didn’t know Davines products were what I needed in my life and now I am totally hooked.
The salon is clean, pretty, and welcoming which is more than I can say for a lot of places I’ve tried.
One thing in particular I appreciate about The Cut and Colour Bar is that I always know how long I’ll be there because the stylists don’t mess around and actually know what they’re doing!

The BEST hair salon. I have been going to Mary for years… she is so nice, professional, and she always does exactly what I ask for with my hair and she does it perfectly! All the ladies here are sweet and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. I would highly recommend this salon.

This place is so cool. The décor and ambiance is understated and relaxing. Is very spacious and clean. You don’t feel like u have another customer in your personal space.
I am extremely picky., and I must say that Kristen is an extremely talented stylist. She is so good, that I followed her when she moved from another salon. She keeps current with new products and her education. I’ve been to other stylists whose techniques were antiquated, and thus messed up my hair.
I have very dark hair, and she is able to lift it to a beautiful blonde color. She knows that I hate golden hair, and she consistently lifts it to a wonderful shade. No brassiness whatsoever! I’m constantly getting compliments on the color, and my beautiful bobb cut.

Mary and all the other stylists do amazing things! I was so excited when they recently opened this urban-​chic salon in the Seabrook area-​filling a niche that was in high demand.
Particularly noteworthy is the absence of little kids with their no kids under 12 years of age policy. It’s so relaxing and I feel pampered every time I go.
