County of Los Angeles Public Library – Norwood Library

Even though you can now get books sent to your mobile, PC, Kindle, iPad etc, I still enjoy (and prefer) turning the pages of a real book. I don’t know why people don’t utilize the library more often. Your tax money is going towards it, so why not use it? Plus it’s a great way to read a book without the risk of having purchased a promising book only to find that it was a waste of $ 5~$ 20.
The Norwood Library is not as grand in comparison to the Arcadia Library, but it does the job. There is a private parking lot (with a book drop off box for after hours) in the back & bike parking in the front. Aside from books and magazines, they have the latest DVDs that you can rent for $ 1. There are multiple PCs available for you to use (although for the most part, it is occupied by children surfing the web). The librarians and staff are friendly and more than happy to help you if you have a question.
