They have good burritos. I got two of the burritos they offer. The bbq and the chile carne asada. It was $ 6 for both. It was good, but not filling enough for one person. As for the meat market, I haven’t bought anything from them. They seem to have a really good selection though. The staff was courteous and friendly.

I was relatively new to the west side and also kept seeing this place on Mesa. I finally stopped in to browse their meat selection. I was impressed and decided to order one dozen some tamales on a whim. They were delicious! I was quite impressed. I’ll be visiting soon to try some of their burritos and to prepare for our Easter cookout. The customer service was amazing as well! oh, I also purchased come of their green salsa. I’m not sure if they prepare it there, but it was good as well. I highly recommend this place. I grew up in the Lower Valley and was missing Zeke’s, but I’m very happy to have found this place.

We kept seeing this place as we drove along Mesa a million times looking for various places(being new in town is so awesome for your gas tank). I knew eventually I wanted to make bulgogi so I kept this place in mind. Finally the day came and we walked up into the place and it smelled awesome! I think it’s the hickory charcoal they have in the corner(plus meat, hello). This place has a beautiful meat counter and lots of choices(different cuts, premarinated, there’s a veal section), plus the window in the back where you can get cooked stuff. I’m excited to try that window, let me tell you! Anyway we told the guy behind the counter what we were doing(I wanted them to shave the beef really thinly because I suck at cutting meat, even if it’s partially frozen). He pointed out a decent piece of… something I forget, maybe chuck or something? I don’t know. He even showed us the first piece he shaved off to make sure it was what we wanted. He offered to cut it into strips for us too, and of course I said yes because, well, I suck at it. I don’t know why. They have lots of rubs and sauces too, and some empanadas and pies, and a few cold salads(I’ve never heard of hot cheese before). We got some habanero salsa that was GREAT. The service and quality were outstanding and combined with the price? AMAZING. It was no more expensive(and I think actually cheaper) than going to Walmart’s meat department, and I got exactly what I wanted. We’ll be back!

If you are looking for fresh and USDA Prime meat, this is the place to go. And it is not too much more than Albertson’s Choice cuts. Family owned and operated and friendly too. Convenient location in a strip mall that was just recently updated cosmetically.

I cannot comment on the variety of meats in the butcher case, but if you head straight to the back of the shop, there’s a little window with a guy in a hairnet standing behind it. There’s a gas fired stove with two huge pots of slop. One has shredded barbecue beef and the other one has chile verde con carne. This is the famous burrito window every Coronado High School student has been to hundreds of times. Get one of both kinds of burritos. The hairnet guy will throw a couple store-bought tortillas directly on the gas fired stove and get them burning hot. Then, he will take a big spoon and slop a spoonful from both pots onto each tortilla. Next, he’ll wrap them in paper and mark«$ 1.25» on each with a grease pencil and put them in a little paper sack. Take them to the cash register after you grab a can of soda from the fridge and you have the best lunch in El Paso for under $ 4.00. Don’t forget the napkins.

The HUGE selection of choice fresh meats are found here blind folded. I was amazed at the quality and prices which were certainly impressive to say the least. The gentleman that waited on me was friendly, informative and accommodating. Great place for your meaty needs! Nice selection of spices and sauces too!
