Went in for a few things and David helped me out. I am not a great cyclist or knowledgeable about bike gadgets, but he was very insightful and helped me out a lot. I had gone a few years back to this location and wasn’t fond of service but now I’m glad they have friendly people working there now. Cool bike shop.

Got a mountain bike here. Convenient location for the west side. Getting some repair work here as well.

Walked in here with my wife not expecting to buy anything. Neither of us had a bike but it’s something we’ve wanted to do together for exercise. Looked around the the bikes were more than what I would’ve wanted to spend. However, the salesman(Tom) told me about a 1 year same as cash WAC so I signed up for that. Walked out with a Trek WSD for my wife and ordered a Trek Dual Sport for myself. It’s only been a few weeks but I’ve put over 100 miles on my bike already. My wife doesn’t ride her bike as much as I ride mine but oh well. I enjoy exercise. I’ve also taken my bike here for service, the service part wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good, either. Takes a while to get their attention unless you come in bike riding gear. Sorry but I can’t get with the tight padded shorts, tight shirts, etc. I ride casually for exercise and for fun. I can see why someone would get the impression if you don’t look like a serious cyclist, you might not get attention here very quick.

I’m in between buying a bike or just renting to fit my needs. I’m at that age where buying a bike at Wal-Mart is no longer acceptable so I found myself in Crazy Cat. Small space. Actually, it wouldn’t seem so small, but bikes do take up a lot of space. I know CC is feeling it because bikes hang from the ceiling to make room for other products, like $ 100 cyclists shirts. Depending on what kind of bike you’re looking for the range is the high $ 500 and up, way up. But you’re paying for quality and honestly even $ 600 seemed very reasonable to me because I was going in expecting the starting cost to be somewhere in the low $ 900 before tax. Yes, for these prices it may be a spot for bicyclist enthusiast, but even as someone being introduced to the real world of bicycles, I felt very informed and welcome. Rental prices were extremely cheap, I think it was $ 50 a day. Wait, no… it was $ 40. Okay Mr. Bob Barker I’m gonna go with $ 1. Anyways it shocked me because I’ve been places that charge $ 15 an hour which would end up being more if you had it over 3 hours. 24 hours for a set price, Tanya likes. This CC only has three rental bikes with one out of commission right now so they do get rented out fast, but the staff let me know the CC on Airway and the University one have more rentals available for the same price. The staff was super helpful too. They showed us the different bikes(street, mountain and hybrid), let us know the prices and answered all my ridiculous questions.

After doing business with this store for over 5 years I feel the need to post this positive review and refute that of «Russell». I have purchased many bikes and accessories for myself and my kids. While some were high-end I bought my wife a Specialized under $ 500 and 2 different kids bikes under $ 300. The people there have always bent over backwards to help either buying or doing a warranty claim. So I can’t speak for others but in my opinion it’s a first rate bike shop.

I wasn’t impressed at all. I wouldn’t recommend this shop unless you’re an avid cyclist and prepared to drop some serious $$$ on a bike. They have nothing to offer beginners or recreational cyclists. I went to this shop on two occasions and both times I felt like they did not want my business. On the first visit, I was looking for a BMX bike for my son. I wanted him to have a better bike than whats availably at a department store, but wasn’t looking for«top of the line»(my son is 9). They only had a few BMX bikes in stock, priced form $ 400 — $ 600, so I asked about other more affordable options, and was basically told they didn’t have anything in my price range, but if I researched the brands they carry and find something in my price range, I could come back and they could order it for me? I went back a week later, this time looking for an entry level hybrid/mountain bike for my wife. I explained that I wanted to spend between $ 300 — $ 400, but was told their entry level women’s bikes start at $ 500. And when I asked if they had any other brands that might be more affordable, I was told all the brands they carry start at $ 500. So I went to the«The Bicycle Company», I found exactly what I was looking for, an entry level Trek womans mountain bike for $ 350(crazy catz said this did not exist). They also had a good selection of BMX bikes(great brands like Felt, Haro and Redline) starting at about $ 250. In addition they provided me with a wealth of knowledge and worked hard to earn my business. The experience between the two shops was night and day. If your new to cycling and interested in a starter bike, I’d steer clear of this place, that is unless you have money to burn; then go for it.
