Coworkers picked up lunch for us, and they recommended this place. I tried the green chile and queso gordita and it was amazing! It’s not fancy but it sure was delicious. Affordable, too. Anything you usually like in a burrito is good with the thick flour gordita. I’ll be taking my family here next time!

The shredded chicken is mixed with jalepenos and a red sauce, and the quality of chicken is great. Once the sauce/juice hits the Gordita and soaks into the bread it’s basically to die for. My new favorite place.

Must have had the wrong Gorditas cause it was not that good to me. The meat cooked correct but the food was a bit salty and the sauce made the bread soggy and it ran out like a waterfall. Had number 3,4 and 11

Tony the Tiger is a legend that has dominated every reference to the name«Tony.» Gordita Tony is changing that one happy customer at a time. Don’t let the outward appearance fool you, this place is good… and crazy cheap. For $ 3 you will leave full of gordita goodness. That’s cheaper than your coffee at Starbuck’s, which lets be honest… is a rip off!!! I recommend the 14 or 15 for first timers — and a side of guacamole if they haven’t run out yet. You will laugh. You will cry. You will want to tell your friends to go to this place asap. Walking by this spot, many may wonder if it’s safe to eat or some double operation of Pepto Bismo — but with authentic food, looks rarely tell the story. Like momma always said, «you can’t judge a book by its cover.» I doubt momma ever would have taken us to Gordita Tony’s because she is more the raisin bran type, but the principle still holds true. Trust momma, eat at Gordita Tony’s. Thank me later and enjoy your post-gordita siesta.

Of all the places in El Paso, this place seems to have won me over the most. It’s not much to look at, in fact, it barely catches your attention as you drive by. In fact, even if you’re looking for it, you just might pass it by if you aren’t careful. However, I had a friend bring me here, and it has REVOLUTIONIZED my life! To me, a guy born in Wisconsin who lives in Minnesota, I thought I always knew what a gordota was. Taco Bell had them, and they were the typical Taco Bell standard of. Ugh. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure they have a standard… Anyways, this little spot has forever raised the bar for me when it comes to gorditas and Mexican food. It has some amazing flour tortilla filled gorditas. You really can’t go wrong, but my favorite had the red chili pepper inside. All they do is make gordotas, and as they do this, all they do is win!

Highly recommended for anyone staying close by in any of the many airport hotels. This place serves flour gorditas stuffed with their variety of guisados(stews of Mexican dishes that would normally fill burritos). The stuffed flour gordita is a staple of this part of Mexico that borders with us. I’ve come to understand that the Mexican cuisine that is served along US border cities is a reflection of the part of Mexico they border. Our part of Mexico is the state of Chihuahua. In my opinion it is the best followed by the Mexican flavor in San Diego. Back to these flour gorditas. They are awesome. The reason is due to recipes of the guisados. These recipes come out of the home of the original Gorditas Tony in Juarez. If you are down to experience authentic Juarez comfort food at its best, hit this place up. Very simple to read menu with all the choices you can stuff your flour gordita with. The options are in Spanish with an English description. If your down to experience a true Juarez favorite it would be the number 1. Pretty much you can choose the type of meat in either a red or green sauce. You want to be adventurous try the hot dog w/chorizo or chicharones(pork rinds w/green chile). I recommend this place to anyone. Good location to pickup a Gorditas Tony, some WB liquors, Zino’s Greek Mediterranean or a good Toro burger.

Good gorditas. Yes, they are flour tortilla but if if you’re well versed in Mexican cuisine beyond the stereotype then enjoy! Others will have to try with an open mouth :).

If you want a «real» corn masa gordita don’t come here. Otherwise the gorditas here are made with thick flour tortillas split down the center«gordita» style. The fillings are what you would expect in any burrito restaurant in El Paso. Meh.
