Whenever I am in EP visiting, I always have to visit this place! My sister and I stumbled upon this place at the Fountains and haven’t turned back since! They have desserts of all types that can satisfy even the pickiest of eaters! The place is pretty small, but the customer service is good and they have plenty of toppings to choose from. Your order is also prepared right in front of you so you know exactly what is going into it!

We liked it. Had the crêpe with banana, strawberry and cream, a waffle with banana, strawberry, cream and chocolate sauce and a banana mango shake. All were good but the waffle was our favorite. It reminded me of the Belgium leige waffles but without the crunchy sugar pearls in the waffle mix. If only they’d have Biscoff as a topping then it’d be pretty close to perfection.

Now that this place has a location at the Fountains, i decided it was time to skip Menchie’s and head over here for a crêpe or waffle. They very astutely place their sample crepes and waffles on the window for display. I tried a nutella Belgium waffle with strawberries, kiwi, and banana topped with vanilla ice cream… let that sink in or re read it for a better experience. All the crepes and waffles are made to order so they are always fresh and hot and that is not something you can get anywhere else here. Literally an explosion of flavor in your mouth. I would honestly suggest sharing here because the size of the serving is large and with maximum sugar doses. One time i made it here an hour and 15 minutes before closing and they informed me they had already cleaned the waffle machine so they only served crepes. That doesn’t seem like a smart thing to do and the place was packed with disappointed customers. They didn’t have a sign and they weren’t initially letting customers know before they ordered so customers were disappointed. The crepes are just as good and i’m assuming the machine is easier to clean but more than an hour before closing is kinda ridiculous in my opinion.

If you’re wanting some sweet, fruity dessert this is the place to go. They’re famous for their crepes, which include fruits, syrup condiments, ice cream, and whip cream. Fair warning, one crêpe is good for two. It’s soft and sweet. These desserts are huge! They also sell waffles, which are good too. Crispy and soft. Recently stopped by here with a friend and they now serve coffee and bobba tea! Again, their portions are huge. My only thing is that, the place is small. And since it’s small, the A/C keeps the place super cold. I’m always shivering in here. Lol.

This is not a french creperie The crepes they serve is more asian style, that you can hold as a large snack cone. Although i personally prefer french styled crepes, the ones they make at Hana Banana is of great value and quality nonetheless. I ordered a cheesecake with two toppings — blueberries and strawberries. The fruits are abundant and fresh, which go really well with the cheesecake and the crêpe wrap. It filled me more than a regular sandwich. Good sweet stop overall.

Weekday visit so there was another customer ahead of us. Friendly service. I ordered the ice cream crêpe with vanilla ice cream and strawberry as my topping. Limited topping selection was what my friend had to say but I don’t go topping crazy so what they do have to offer is good enough for me. Next time I want to try the savory crêpe but this visit my sweet tooth was calling so I had to indulge. Hana Banana is a good alternative to the(froyo) desert places here at the Fountains.

I have had crepes all over the world. Of course in France the crepes are the best but many countries make great crepes. It’s a pretty simple treat. I have had more crepes than I can remember. I love several kinds of crepes but my favorite is a simple nutella and banana crêpe. This place does not even come close to making a good crêpe. The crêpe was cold. The nutella was basically not on the crêpe. The banana was cold. The crêpe was gross. My wife got a simple nutella crêpe and threw ½ of it away. She is pregnant and she THREWAWAY food with chocolate on it. How bad does a chocolate treat have to be for a pregnant woman to throw it away? Pretty bad. That being said I will not be going back to this place. Sad. I had been looking forward to going for months.

I love this place!!! It’s the only place in El Paso that knows how to make a crêpe! It’s so yummy. I honestly don’t mind if my crêpe is warm or cold, I know some people have an issue with that but I don’t.

Had a strawberry, banana, nutella crêpe. It came out a little broken, but it was still yummy :) Wish the waffles were freshly made after ordering though. They leave them in a warmer, but I wasn’t a fan of soggy waffles.

Hana Banana is a great dessert alternative to the frozen yogurt places at The Fountains, they specialize in crepes and waffles, and make both of them really well. I honestly had never thought of having a waffle in a non-breakfast setting, but I was feeling adventurous and was pleasantly surprised. Had a waffle topped with ice cream and whipped cream and loved it, the warmth of the waffle gets the ice cream to the sweet spot right before it starts melting, it’s a tasty treat! Topping selection is a tad limited, mostly fruits and nuts, but it still allows for many combinations. Crepes do take a little while, because that’s what most people order and it’s a more delicate process, but waffles are done quickly. The place is tiny and there are only a couple of tables outside, but it is right on the promenade level, so you can take your dessert to one of the many outdoor seating spots in the Fountains. Definitely worth checking out!
