Terrible service, extremely rude staff we will never come again. We waited 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us to sit. Another 10 min for a waitress to come over and ask if we’ve been helped. Another 30 min for our food to arrive which wasn’t even good. What a waste of time.

Food is ok. Menudo could have been better. No refills on Agua Frescas. Tortillas on burritos were chewy. Service is meh. Salsa was so bland my 18month old could eat it(and did). Save yourself some time and money and walk over to Los Toreados, which is literally in the same shopping center. Food there was delish. Plus there is no old guy playing the organ like at La Choza

I have been a loyal customer for years(since the times I used to go eat menudo after parties in Juarez). But lately the taste and quality of the food it’s so bad that I doubt I will be going back. The menudo is overcooked/burned with a very strong taste to oregano and the tamales dry and chewy. Sorry Choza, I am on a quest for a new favorite

Biiiiig mistake coming here, seemed like a place that would be on kitchen nightmares. When we walked in they just stared at us for a good five minutes and completely ignored us before finally someone told us to sit wherever. After looking over the menu I realized there could be hope, the waitress that took our drink order left and then started talking to another waitress that was just sitting down. Finally another waitress brings over our drinks and takes our order. Took almost 30 minutes to get it. The plate was not worth 9 dollars, the rice tasted funky and the chile relleno was barley warm.(You could tell it was microwaved) She even forgot what my boyfriend ordered and brought it about 10 minutes after I had gotten my food. Finally we got our check but had to wait for the girl at the register to finish texting and tweeting on her phone. She even said, «Sorry, I didn’t even realize you guys were there». I always tip at places, but with the food being less than mediocre and the staff being rude and ignoring us I felt a tip wasn’t necessary. Never coming back to this place.

I was taken there by one of my friends who is a local in El Paso as I had just move here. I gotta say, I had the rajas de chile and queso tamales topped with the green sauce and cheese. Best plate of tamales I’ve ever had that were not my mother’s. Staff is nice and courteous. I recommend this place.

Been here several times and today when I took some menudo home, we found a grasshoper leg on my wife’s menudo plate. It’s a shame i really loved this place but this is unacceptable!

Love this place. The menudo here is awesome. The one word I think of when I visit this place is «quality.» These people don’t eff around when it comes to their menudo. It’s super clean tasting and doesn’t reek like most cheap-o menudo joints. They serve it up with two enormous slabs of hella buttered bread. So good and so fresh. The tamales are mega delicious. They’re super rich and have got tons of filling. I swear, when I bit into a red one, the meat was so fresh it was still kinda saucy. Yeah, that good. There’s one waitress who works here who is a doll. She’s a super nice lady who always takes time to make sure we have a great experience. I like that. Good manners from wait staff is enormous to me. I never go too long without a refill or anything. Be sure to try: the menudo. Duh. the horchata, the champurrado(only if it’s cold outside, heh) the flautas. they’re kind of slim, but they’re really long and super tasty. Oh and if you happen to arrive at a breakfast time, order a pancake. Trust me. You can thank me later. Doesn’t get ridiculous busy either, which is a plus if you’re a crank like me who hates eating elbow to elbow with John and Jane Q. Public. Overall, this place has great, great prices, super colorful walls and incredibly good food.

Short of food Poisoning this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I grew up eating their Menudo and tamales in Juarez and I always loved them, but here in El Paso… we all ordered Menudo and basically got 4 bowls of FAT with red stew, after complaining the waitress did her best to go a fish some good pieces of meat and re-served our bowls, probably did a little better job. Once paying my bill and asked how my food was I did tell them it was absolutely discusting… ENTERSTHENIGHTMANAGER(GUERA and overweight, just in case the real management reads this review).instead of apologizing she starts telling me how I probably have never eaten Menudo and that that was the way it’s supposed to served… well, they ain’t serving me again,
