Amazing service and food. The Caldo was on point and the Menudo was amazing. They fry the taco shells, so if you don’t like grease, don’t order the tacos or the chilaquiles. The waitress was awesome. She gave me a back of menudo bones for my dog Bruno. How’s that for service!

Perfect place to hit after a night out. Food is made on the spot right in front on you with El señor de los cielos playing behind you.

Give it a chance, yes service is very hit or miss, but I haven’t been going here for years for the service. Decesbrada tacos and Decesbrada burrito a la Mexicana are always amazing. My boyfriend likes the lucky burger or a torta. Something else delicious– salsa ranchera with tostadas. Your welcome.

We were supposed to go to the Good Luck Café, but reached the Lucky Café first. After driving all day(eating breakfast in Phoenix) we were ready for dinner but stopped in Las Cruces, NM just to have the 9pm closing restaurant close @ 8:30pm, as we rolled it. So needless to say we just wanted something good. When we saw it was open 24hrs we were happy, no matter what the food was like. Good thing I speak Spanish, or the kids’ burger would of had all the sides they didn’t like. But no biggie. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the old building just adds to the atmosphere.

Ehhhhh. That’s the only thing I can think of to say that can explain my experience at Lucky Café. It was all just very lackluster both in taste and presentation. I don’t think my visit was a fluke, I think the previous reviews may have been a little inflated. I ordered the Machaca which I normally love from anywhere(even chains like Ihop), but LC’s Machaca was extremely bland. Everything on the plate was bland. It wasn’t terrible food, but it definitely is not the best Mexican food in EP. Maybe I went wrong with ordering off the menu because the Menudo seems to be the talk of the town(or at least Unilocal), so if I venture here again that’s what I’ll be trying and I’ll update my review. Atmosphere wise, it’s a bit cramped(even at 3 am). It kind of reminds me of the eateries in Juarez I used to go to as a kid. It’s pretty interesting to be around, but I don’t know that I’ll become a regular any time soon. I was a little disappointed that they serve canned soda. Like at least if you’re going to serve canned soda make sure it’s from Mexico(whaaaaaaat…I like the real sugar).

One of the best places to eat menudo. Friendly atmosphere, inexpensive and great place to hang out 24 hrs a day. Open During the Holidays. I also recommend the Enchilada and eggs plate.

Soda is flat, think water was tap water, chips and salsa were delicious, waitress Spanish speaking only, restrooms were clean enough, not expensive. The burger I ordered was good, cooked right in front of you, and thinly sliced meat.

Good spot to spend a Saturday morning. They’re known for their menudo and that is usually what you find on the table in front of me when there. Great local flavor though it is possible to be waited on by someone who doesn’t speak English.
