Tasty Donut Cafe

I don’t know what happened? I’ve tried to come in several times within the past 2 or 3 weeks to get some more donuts, but everytime I go, it’s locked up with no one inside? There were even donuts in the case, but the store was closed??? This was around 11 am each time.

As of February 28^th the place is closed down with a sign outside says they haven’t paid their rent. Not sure if this is permanent.

Good little donut shop with some quality donuts and a very nice and helpful owner. I ordered a dozen mixed, which included red velvet, glazed, and make bacon varieties. Yumm! Also got a sausage and cheese kolache which was filling and tasty! Definitely will come back!

After my first night in El Paso, I was so happy to find this place. The service was friendly and the young woman made a couple of recommendations that were crowd pleasers.

This place is amazing! The first time I tried it I got a dulce de Leche filled donut and my daughter got a Leche monster. They were amazing! Why did I never think of putting ice cream in a donut? It is genius. I’ve also taken donuts to work and everybody loves them. My fav is the maple bacon. They also make letter donuts that can spell out whatever you want. They are cute and delicious.

After hearing great things about this place I finally went. I bought a dozen donuts and two leche monsters which are donuts cut in half and filled with your choice of ice cream and topping. The leche monster was delicious. I did have a donut topped with cereal but the cereal was stale so i took them off. I went around lunchtime so it may have been there since the morning. I will come back to try other treats but I don’t think I will get the donuts topped with cereal. I recommend getting the leche monster!
P. S. they will give you half off a leche monster if you post a picture to your social media.

Since I rarely eat donuts I can’t really compare these to any other place except to say they were melt in the mouth delicious. I had an apple fritter and a maple bacon doughnut. Both were awesome. They were clearly made fresh today. After looking at the photos on Unilocal I had already decided what I wanted before arriving. First choice was a bacon egg and cheese croissant. The very nice employee decided I should have the freshest possible so she made me one from scratch. It was really good. But my main reason for coming here was to try the kolaches. My intro to this item came years ago at a small oil field shop in Odessa, Tx. In the years since I have never found another as good as those. Today was no exception. I had a giant jalapeño sausage and cheese. It was decent but not as good as I hoped for. Top marks for the sweets and the service. Just so-​so for the stuff I came here for. It would be nice to have one on the west side closer to home because I probably will only come back if I’m close by for another purpose. It’s just too far to drive for a donut no matter how tasty it is.

Hands down BEST donuts in town! Great local place to get your donut fix!!! I highly recommend Tasty Donuts!!! Staff is super friendly as well!

Def my go-​to donut place from now on. I came around 7am and they had a good variety. The donuts are moist and not too thick like other places. Owners are nice, prices are good, a dozen for $ 8!

Yum. Spinach and cheese croissant was amazing. Coffee was great and it’s a great place to study! Love the free wifi!

Sooo happy a donut place opened up right by my house. I love their donuts and they are always so welcoming and nice to talk to. My favorites include the red velvet donut, apple fritter and the lychee monster (donut in half with ice cream of choice and topping!!) This place is definitely doing something new with their donuts like other cities and I can’t stop referring my friends here.

Absolutely amazing food and great service. A sample was even provided to me when they found out I was a newcomer! Definitely a fan of the maple donut with bacon as well as anything jalapeño. The ham, jalapeño, and cheese croissant was amazing and HUGE!

I’m a pro’s and con’s type of guy so let’s get the con’s out of the way.
Con
–it always excessively warm inside
–though they open at 6 am often times at 7:15 they only have about ¹⁄₃ of their donuts made (happened three times now)
–small selection of donuts even when stocked
Pros
+ damn they are good
+ the maple bacon (real bacon), glazed cake donut, and regular glaze are perfect
+ staff is super nice and if you wait will make you whatever donut they normally have if they are not in stock
+ active on social media
+ they have kolaches and croissants with bacon, ham, cheese, spinach perfect and flaky

Best doughnuts ever. Always fresh no after taste and even great the next day. Try the cake doughnuts they are the Best.

I tried this place for the first time and all I can say is Yummy! When they say freshly made donuts made daily, they don’t lie. I went 15mins before they closed and the donuts I chose were still fresh & so good. Also the girl who worked there was so nice and helpful and she gave me a sample donut hole. The kolaches were also good.

Best place ever!!! The donuts are so good !! I purchased 3 dozen donuts and everyone at school loved them!!! He was closed at the time at had to pick the donuts but he waited for me… Sweetest owners. Going back for sure.

This place rocks! Everything you can think of for breakfast, from simple sweets to lots of meat! Spicy?! Why yes, they do have some heat with the addition of jalapenos! The owners are great, gave us samples, told us how everything is fresh made everyday! Great breakfast stop!
