I did not have any work done by this company but tried to sign up to attend a seminar and was told by one employee they were not having it. Then told by another that it was full. Although they all were very polite, I felt very frustrated that they wouldn’t let me come to the meeting tonight. Really??? They said they would have another seminar on Saturday but it was on a different topic and I was going to be out of town that day. Then they wouldn’t have another one until 2016. However they said that they could send a team to my house to discuss the project. If I am already frustrated; how would it be if I actually had work done. Always so very difficult when you try to find a honest, quality company for a remodel. Anybody have recommendations out there?

I just went thru a very long and stress-filled construction process with this company. The issues and problems are too numerous to list. Here are my suggestions if you are considering them: 1. if you are in the contract stage, do not let them«rush» you… have a lawyer review the contract before signing. Verbal items and ok’s came up later that were in the contract differently 2. never take anything that is verbal… always get everything in writing and if it does come to you verbal, write back on the conversation so that there is a paper trail 3. I had so many different fixture plans and drawings and size differences that not even the sub-contractors could follow it, and no plans were ever signed off… they just did things on their own. 4. design team very questionable 5. tighten up the end date of the construction: way too long. Protect yourself. 6. if you go thru arbitration, always take a lawyer. You may have all of the evidence and pictures and all truth on your side, but without a lawyer you are screwed. I decided to email the company to let them know that after only a year of my kitchen installation and noting that they(supposedly) guarantee their work, the paint on the original cabinetry(basically 20% of the original prefab cabinets… all other had to be replaced) was chipping(and the quality was no where it should be after a year). Unfortunately for me, there was no response back. This is a major problem with the finish chipping and in the original cabinetry in general with sides splitting and now finish chipping… and spending over $ 100.0+ for the kitchen I am finding this difficult to accept. I would expect CDC to stand by its product but with no response I do not see this happening. From what I thought could be a good experience became the worst remodeling experience that I thought would ever happen to me and my home. The company did finish the job but had to be redone numerous times. You be the judge whether to use them or not.
