I tried to get a quote and took for ever to get a response. The service is no good. They said that they do not have a contractor in my are to quote, but they can do the deck if I want. That does not make sense! Terrible customer service so I ran before getting in any deeper.

Completely negligent company, deckrite is doing construction at the house across the street from me and left a ramp from one of their trucks out with no cones out to show a potential hazard. Unfortunately for me and my car this ramp is the same color as the street and was impossible to see from my drivers seat. Long story short the ramp collided with my car as I was pulling out of my spot. As if this situation wasn’t already frustrating enough deckrite doesn’t carry insurance in their truck which is completely illegal and when they called their boss I was given incorrect insurance info. Get it together deckrite if you are planing on staying in business maybe carry some insurance in your trucks and put out some cones when you have equipment blocking the road. So frustrated!

The other reviews on here are spot on. In my case, we experienced both shoddy work and terrible service. The owner of this company doesn’t return phone calls, or messages. Very unprofessional, and no way to run a business. To add insult to injury the work they do is messy, shoddy, and doesn’t last. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Luckily I didn’t pay for their services, as our landlord did, but I feel bad for our landlord who made the mistake of hiring these guys, and has been put through hell. Our deck needed to be resurfaced last year and our landlord hired this company to do the work. They gave us a date of when they were coming out, and that date came and went and they never showed up. Meanwhile, I had removed everything from our deck in preparation for their arrival. After several days had gone by, they finally showed up. Once the work started, they did a little bit at a time, would show up for an hour or two every 3 – 4 days, and then disappear for a week in between visits. Eventually they got the job done 2MONTHS after they started. All while we were unable to use our deck and had everything taking up the space on our other deck, or in our garage. Fast forward a few months. All was well, then we got hit with some very heavy rain storms and a day or two later I went to go outside and noticed I had stepped on an air bubble on the deck surface about the size of a baseball. When I looked closer, the entire deck surface had bubbled up everywhere with about 100 or more air pockets, ranging from the size of a quarter to a softball. I immediately notified my landlord, so he can get these guys back out here to fix it. It’s now been well over a month since I notified my landlord and he’s been trying to get these guys out here. I’m anticipating this might take another 2 – 3 months, since they already got their money and they would be repairing this at their own expense. Meanwhile, we can’t enjoy our deck for quite possibly the duration of the summer. Stay away from these guys, you’ve been warned! Update 8⁄19 — our deck was just completed two weeks ago. So it took them this long to come out and completed the job. Consumers beware.

I made an appt two months in advance(CONTRACTANDINWRITING) to have them come out and resurface a 400 sq ft deck. That was the week I was going to be out of town, so I attempted to make it easy on them and ME. I moved all of my deck furniture into the house and had my three cats boarded — because I knew they would leave paw prints. I come back from vacation and guess what? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I was so mad — I can’t EVEN tell you. Not one phone call was made by that company that they were running late or not on schedule. They’re excuse was that there was an emergency type job that had to come before me, but they did say they were available the next week. FATCHANCE of that happening. I had another company do the work and they showed up on time and my deck was done professionally. Beware …

Deckrite is the waterproofing company my contractor used(and I loved the contractor), but the finished product is less than desirable. First of all, the deck hasn’t leaked, so I’m going to say that I’m sure that’s the most important aspect. So, five stars for not leaking through a year and a half of intermittent rains. Not a year after the installation, the surface of the deck(a painted surface) became pitted and stained — downright unattractive. Trying to get the repair was a nightmare of prevarication and(in my opinion) unacceptable delays. Finally, after my contractor called, his secretary called, I called, the holes in the deck were repaired, the surface sanded and repainted. It looked good. For about a month. Now, after a major rainstorm — a year and a half after the original installation of a brand new roof deck, the surface looks worse than ever. The paint is faded in big spots, some of it has bubbled up, and it needs sanding and repainting again. Will I call Deckrite? Not on your life. If you’re interested in photographs, please feel free to contact me. I’ll be happy to share my experience in detail. I would rather set myself on fire than use this company again.
