Greg is great! He taught my son who started when he was 9 years for several years. Greg came recommended to us by a friend. He has a passion for music and is engaged with his students! We had a great experience and would highly recommend him.

My husband I are both musicians. We have two sons who have dabbled in music and taken lessons off and on for years. When Greg Cahill showed up at our house it brought a whole new level of respect and commitment to the casual guitar lesson. This dude just brings it. First of all, a rock star shows up at your house who is incredibly prepared and interested in what motivates your individual child. The entire family looked forward to Greg’s visits. He would make time to offer tips to my husband (an accomplished singer but fledgling guitar player), while devoting his time 100% to our son in a way that was disciplined yet fun. Our son has since moved on to golf as his forte. We miss our time with Greg!

Greg is amazing! My now 12 year old son began lessons with him a few years back. He started from scratch and was patient with the learning curve but pushed him just enough to get some good results. He started with some basics and great classic rock but throws in some current songs now and then which is fun. He comes to the house and I have no concerns about that at all even if I have to run out. It’s nice that he is also flexible if our schedules get messed up. He’s super nice and very knowledgeable about guitar and music in general. I would recommend him to anyone!

We have been with Greg for over four years. He has taught both my son and daughter. First of all nothing is better than having a trustworthy, well mannered teacher come to your home and teach your children while you make dinner. I have the utmost trust and respect for Greg and happily welcome him into our home. Second, and most important, is that Greg has built an amazing relationship with my (now) teenage kids. He understands them, understands the music they are listening to and what they want to play. Additionally he will add classics to their curriculum. I recommend Greg whole-​heartedly. We have had other music teachers, and Greg is by far the best!

Greg has been an excellent guitar teach for our middle school son. Not only is he talented and patient, but he really relates to kids and can communicate on their level. He is also both reliable and flexible with our busy schedules. I have recommended him to our friends, and will continue to do so.

There are millions and millions of people that play guitar very well but there are very few that have the talent to pass along their skills to people of all ages and personality types. Greg’s lessons are entirely catered to your learning style and level. Having learned from greg for the past 3 years, as well as from other instructors in the LA area, I’m confidently that I’ve learned comprehensively more from Greg than anyone else.

Greg is such a talented musician — a great guitarist (and pianist). He is great with my kids. Very patient and very motivating. He has excellent credentials and is one of those people who can hear something once and play it right there on the spot. If you are in the South Bay and are looking for someone to teach you or your loved ones guitar then I highly recommend Greg as a teacher.
