This park is the kind they try to replicate in movies and amusement parks to represent small town USA with a big gazebo in the center. It is also reminiscent of a small ivy league college campus with the school buildings on either side. It has appeared in several movies and TV shows. Lots of grass and shade to have a picnic.

This park is small but lovely. Beautiful rose garden and gazebo. Free concerts, magic shows, craft fairs and other small town events. So nice to have open space for little ones and adults alike and thank you for the benches and sidewalks running through it.

I love El Segundo. Library Park is clean and green. The gazebo is so cute. I have seen people getting married here. Kids can scooter here, and special events are often held here, including Concerts in the Park in the summer. It’s an El Segundo gem!

nice quiet little park. located a stone’s throw from me, looks like this will be my go to for quick hops. there’s not really much here to do. the space is good and the gazebo is there plus some benches. the grass and for that matter, the entire area, is very well groomed. i like it and will be frequenting.

Wedding Ceremony: Filmed a wedding under one of the droopy trees here. Nice, quaint park with a view of the majestic El Segundo High School which has been featured in many TV shows and movies. A large path loops around the center of the park and the bride chose to walk the long way. It was a gorgeous sight to see. Hey, your getting married so why not milk the entrance a bit, right? All eyes were focused on the bride for that extended walk. Easy to maneuver with tons of space available. No one around the park except the bridal party and their guests on a late Saturday afternoon. Weather was comfortable this day in mid July. The park(and the surrounding area) had such a welcoming feel. A local party supply company the couple hired, provided chairs for about 50 guests and a nice archway was made by the family. Pretty simple and easy on the pocketbook, yet pleasant nonetheless. The park made for a very nice venue to hold a beautiful ceremony.

No surprise that it’s next to the library. And what a fine library it is, offering beautiful views of the park. Library Park appears to be the official town center of El Segundo a.k.a. Mayberry, as it’s across the street from the high school. And the HS itself is a magnificent old brick building. This is a town full of treasures. So. When was the last time you saw a park with a band stand? How very cool. It’s Library Park’s crowning glory, as there are no sports facilities… just beautiful areas designed to be eye candy. Like the rose garden. The entire park, including the library building, covers only one square block, but what a lovely space it is. The sports fields, basketball courts, and playground are behind the school just west of Library Park(see photo), allowing the central park to remain pristine. So, in this town square with old shade trees and a band stand are benches with dedication/memorial plaques. As I review more and more parks, I find myself pausing to read the words. And I have discovered that beautiful sentiments are found in parks. Such as the one on the bench in Library Park that reads«Meet me in the garden, Gardener Bob». Who knew that reviewing parks would become a spiritual journey? I thought I was just out seeking exercise. I found much, much more. And I have only just begun.
