Waiting a few hours for our friends flight to come in so we stopped in here. It’s got a cozy dive bar feel(some of the other reviewers say it’s «dirty» I say f$&@ them) the food was yummy. We both had the peanut butter burger(add pickle to it, I swear it’s amazing). Small beer selection but I’m happy :) definitely stop in here, the staff is lovely the food is good.

Its a Ma & Pa place. If you are trying to find a urban hipster joint, go away. This aint the droid place you are looking for. If you enjoy good microbrews… they usually have a rotating list and there has 99% of the time always been one on the list that I enjoy. I’m there for the good beer, and old-school dive bar kinda vibe. The patio area is comfy and non-pretentious. They have a «natural» sandwich with a lot of different veggies which I order almost every time… I get this on toasted squaw and add chicken to it and some schiracha… delicious and not foofy. The chips are good, sometimes not perfect… but I’m not there for the chips.

This place sure knows how to make a mighty fine burger. There’s nothing fancy about the place nor the menu. It’s your typical watering hole with greasy bar food and cash only policy.

The best bar in El Segundo HANDSDOWN! South Bay atmosphere with the best beers on tap and 100% best food around. The killer burger is amazing and the chips are a hometown favorite. Ran by a local great family and will always satisfy any craving!

When my friend suggested we meet in El Segundo for burgers and beer this was the first place I thought of. They have a nice specialty beer selection and I really enjoyed my Stella hard cider. It was the perfect compliment to the burger and their famous homemade kettle chips! I had the plain cheeseburger and it was just like one from a backyard BBQ… nothing fancy but really juicy and delicious. They do, however, have some really interesting burgers on the menu including a PB bacon and avocado, bacon, fried egg one! Service from the lone waitress was so friendly as is typical of local small town bars. 2 guys in a heated sports conversation at the counter and a family with kids towards the back, I snagged the only window table in the tiny establishment and was content waiting for the rest of my party watching folks walk by and line up for a movie at the Old Town Music Hall across the street. My friend really enjoyed her shroom swiss burger and of course those chips! We made our own chipotle ketchup so definitely visit the wall of hot sauces on the way to the restrooms. CASHONLY but they conveniently have an ATM machine on site.

Pros: + Super friendly staff + Learned that Peanut Butter and Burgers can be combined for a weirdly tasty experience! Cons: — CASHONLY!(they do have an ATM inside though) — Our Menus were wet and smelled like booze — My iced tea smelled like cucumber… Went to have a burger late one night after work with coworkers and tried one of the weirdest burgers ever. It was a Bacon Cheese Burger… with PEANUTBUTTER! It sounds weird, but a coworker recommended it so I took the chance and was very surprised to find myself enjoying a burger with peanut butter for the first time. The patty was nothing special, but it was cooked well. The bacon was nice and crispy and the cheddar was perfectly melted. I also tried the sausage from my friend’s «Killer Burger» which was very tasty. Will definitely be coming back to try that burger.

I have been coming to Richmond Bar & Grill since 2011, and the food has never let me down, till today 11÷13÷15 the food and the drinks are amazingly good. The quality has never changed and I love that, I have moved on from El Segundo, but once someone asked me, what brings you back here? and I said, The Food as I was taking a Bite out of that Chipotle Chicken Richmond Roll and sipping on my apple cider, YUM! 5STARZ your way, DONOT let me forget that the service and the prices are as well amazing, and the staff is always friendly, a cool bar vibe :)

This place is a nice locals bar. They make large homemade chips which are pretty good and its a very large portion. There are not too many beers on tap but its still a nice and friendly place to go.

Really quaint bar with great food & friendly service! Tried the Fish & Chips — really good, homemade chips are delish as well as the tarter sauce. Got the Teriyaki sliders to go for the kids and wish I ordered more — fantastic sauce, really solid. Bring a to go bag and your cash though!

I first came to Richmond Bar & Grill in the 90’s, when a group of us from LAAFB were encouraged to go there by a fellow Airman who said, «you will quaff the coldest and largest schooners of beer you’ve ever had». He was spot on, and some 20 years later, I consider it a treat to walk into this old school, neighborhood tavern for that same frosty schooner. The chow is pretty good, too! The burgers are generous in size, and the fresh cut french fries are tasty. If you like onion rings, Richmond does them justice — worth a side order! Last week, I tried the Chipotle Richmond Roll w/steak. Essentially, a quesadilla hybrid, the beef was tasty, and the fixings were generous(guacamole, cheese, salsa) — I’m a fan! Cheers! RS

Another great bar and grill place in this fine town. They also have a larger selection of beers on tap, something we noticed(other than Tavern & Rock and Brews) that some of the local bars lacked, unless beer bottle, hard liquor & juke joints are your thing. But the food was also good, a decent amount of selections and their home made chips are to die for! Service was excellent, almost all the employees there kept checking on us, tending our ever need, as they did with all their customers that day. It’s definitely a local favorite as it was crowded that Friday night we went, for dinner. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they don’t take credit(Cash Only), but they have an ATM; and the seating was tight, although I saw patio seating — but we didn’t want to alienate ourselves, so we sat up on table nestled a bit closely to a booth and other tables — not a big issue. Parking isn’t bad if you get there early, the night life is thriving later on in the later hours. We’ll definitely be back, it’s on our list of places we like!

What is not to love about a nice little local divey bar? They have a nice variety of local draft beer, as well as a selection of bottled beers. As for food, they are probably most famous for their homemade potato chips, which come as a side on most of their food. Most of the food options are related to salads, sandwiches, and other typical bar food. Place generally fills up with locals just dropping in to have a beer after work. They are closed on Sunday’s, and only take cash(they have ATM on site) Just a nice place to hang with your friends!

We’d come here for lunch all the time and enjoy some sun out on the back patio. The menu has changed in the past few years and the double fish sandwich is no longer there. However, I ordered it anyway and they accommodated me. Unfortunately, the fish was very… fishy. Not sure if things had changed but I wasn’t super happy. LUCKLY, they have giant schooners of beer that turn EVERY frown upside down. Thats exactly what it did for me. Great service, some giant sliced fried potatoes, and big beers, what else can I ask for from a bar. I’m coming back, but will likely try something else on the menu next time.

Happy hour is from Monday through Thursday only, from 3 to 6. Get their early for the deal. Very good place for a burger. It’s a ~$ 9 burger(includes their home made chips) but has a very good taste and should definitely fill you up. I couldn’t finish the chips and they are excellent. I had the mushroom/swiss burger, very juicy and tasty. If you’re in the neighborhood and craving a burger, this is a very good choice. Hope you enjoy it!

I remember going here years ago and for some reason I didn’t like it. Mostly because I enjoy fries with my burger and they serve homemade potato chips… augh. So I tried it again and the service was really good, just like I remembered. The menu hasn’t changed one bit and thus I was disappointed again. Oh well, can’t please everyone. I won’t be back.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have lived within walking distance of the Richmond Bar & Grill for nearly 7 years. The only regrets I have is that I was not a Unilocaler at that time and that I didn’t go more often. This El Segundo«landmark» opened for business in 1976 and has been proudly serving the South Bay for 38 years. As the name implies, for all you non So Cal people, Richmond Bar & Grill is a small town establishment nestled in the«downtown» area of El Segundo, just off Main & Grand. The exterior wooden façade & glass window panes scream«old school» & the inside is loaded with antique memorabilia. Even if you’re not hungry or looking for a good drink, the memorabilia alone is enough to warrant a visit. But if you ARE hungry or looking to have a drink, this place is known for their gourmet burgers and hard to find artisan /micro brewed beers. They are also known for their hand cut, homemade potato chips. My favorite food items include: * Homemade potato chips * Chili — «4 alarm» chili served with cheese, onions & chips * Killer burger — 1⁄3 ground chuck burger with ¼ polish sausage and jack cheese * Chili size — Two patties smothered with 4-alarm chili, cheese and onions on a bed of chips.(My absolute favorite food item) * Southern fried chicken salad * The ¼ all beef hot dogs I am not a big drinker, or even a frequent drinker, but I have tried a few of the local micro brews and was never disappointed. The staff is super friendly and the service is great. However, this is a cash only establishment, so leave your AMEX at home. On a side note, there’s 2 exterior patios if you like to «dine» Al Fresco and there’s a private room for 20 people. I can’t wait to go back to SoCal for a visit, as this is definitely one place I plan to re-visit.

I was out running errands during my lunch and I find myself at Richmond Bar & Grill. El Segundo has an old town feel and Richmond Bar & Grill fits right in. I walked in and boy was I surprised. My initial thought was how am I going to enjoy a dive bar without ordering a draft beer. I ordered water and the peanut butter bacon burger. Yep, that’s right, peanut butter bacon burger. Do I need to repeat it? I ordered the peanut butter bacon burger!!! Burger was beyond amazing — perfect balance of sweet and savory. Next time, I’ll come back off work hours and enjoy a beer along with the peanut butter bacon burger.

I love a good dive bar, and Richmond is probably my favorite one. EVER. The staff is friendly, the wood paneling is cute, and you can’t help but feel at home here. Even if the entire place is empty, whoever is working has mastered the art of making you feel welcome, well-served, and in no way eavesdropped upon, all at the same time. Good thing too, because some of the conversations I’ve had there leave me pretty open to judgement… I know it sounds gross, but the Peanut Butter Bacon Cheddar Burger is the one thing you have to try. I still gag just thinking about it, but it’s actually really good. Some how peanut butter just goes with beef… and bacon… and cheddar. Can’t quite work your way up to it? No problem. There’s plenty of liquid courage on tap, and there are beer specials every night.
