I love this place! Maria is amazing! She did my updo for my wedding and I loved it so much it brought me to tears! She did exactly what I wanted. She is great in everything, from updos to cuts! Thank you so much and I will be seeing you guys soon!

it’s really funny how I came across this place when I meant to go next door. I was on lunch and I needed a quick eyebrow fix before I went back to work, so I hopped on Unilocal to look for the nearest place. the place next door was recommended and it was said to be open, but when I got there, they were closed. hence, I noticed q-​tip salon. I walked in and automatically noticed Spanish was the first language spoken there. but I was greeted by a sweet Hispanic lady who was currently helping someone with their hair. I asked her if they do eyebrow waxing and she sad they do, so she went and got the area ready. when she was ready for me, I went over, and tbh. it was pretty relaxing lol. waxing is supposed to be hell for me and usually is most of the time, but I really appreciate the detail and time she gave to my brows, because right now, my babies are on FLEEEEEK!!! I’m so glad I stumbled upon her. I felt kinda bad that I had to rush out because I was late for work, but when I need my brows waxed, she can for sure do them for me! I guess in some cases, accidents can be a good thing… well depending on the result.

There two lady there so pretty and the one that drives the sliver Nissan she so pretty nice job

Went to get my hair colored and I think her name is Beneronda. She was super friendly and did an awesome job! I’m def going there from now on for my hair cuts and color!

I forgot her name but the main lady is awesome.
My son has a lot of hair and I’ve had trouble finding someone who cuts it how I like it.
We walked in without appointment.
She is fast too.

My hair stylist is out of town so a friend recommended this place. I called in and asked if I could go in for a haircut. Asked what time they closed she said 7 and asked if it was ok for me to drop in at 6:45 due to my work. She said it was fine. I went in got a hair cut, she payed so much attention to my hair. I like this place a lot. It’s not expensive, which is always great! The lady was very friendly. Didn’t catch her name but I assumed she was the owner since she was locking up right after I left. Anyway, I think this is a great spot to come and get a last minute hair cut.

As far as haircuts, Teresa had done a good job… But do not color your hair here. The person who colored my hair left me with the different colors in my hair, light brown roots, 2 inches of dark brown hair, then he rest of my strands were a PLATINUM blonde! Not what I wanted! She tried to blame me about the terrible job that she did and then as she proceeded to blow dry my hair, my strands started to snap off! After repeatedly trying to make me feel like this horrible job was my fault she asked if I wanted her to try and correct the color… Which it took her TWO more tries to get my hair to look less like a clown’s …I could go on about what a terrible experience I had and how I ridiculously was charged for it, but now I need to go and lather avocado and all kind of hair miracle creams to try to keep my hair intact.

I had never been to this salon before but the reviews for cuts with Teresa sounded promising. I called on Friday (11÷8÷13) and spoke with the owner, Teresa. I scheduled a cut with her for 10AM today (11÷11÷13). When I got to the salon the door was locked and no one was inside. I waited till 10:15 and still no one. I called but got no answer.
Not a great first impression. Will not be calling back to reschedule. Very disappointing.

This place is small shop and they take people in order so you don’t know who your going to get. The lady that cut my hair was really nice (I didn’t catch her name). I asked for a trim/​cleanup. I have long hair and like the length, she trimmed a little more than I wanted too BUT… it looks great.

Excellent service. My hair cutter person (blanking on the correct term) was great. She paid so much attention to my hair even though it was late and there were customers waiting. At the end, she blow dried the cut hair and powdered around my hairline, which is something every other place has neglected to do in recent years.
My girlfriend and I paid $ 16 each and walked out happy. Thank you for the great cut and service, Teresa.

I just moved to the area and needed to find a good place to get my hair cut for a good price. I’m trying to cut costs so I don’t want to spend a lot but I still want my hair to look good!
I saw that Teresa had good reviews so I went to see her. I was very pleased with how my hair turned out. FYI– I have long wavy hair with layers and I asked her to even out the layers since it was getting a little top heavy and she did a great job. I’ve been to her 3 times now and I’m always pleased.
I would definitely recommend this place!

I was looking for a haircut place in the area, but everything was either too expensive or fully booked. Ended up driving a little farther to El Sobrante to this place based on the positive ratings and reviews. Called in ahead of time to make sure there was availability, and luckily for me there was.
I got there around 2 PM (this being a Tuesday), and the place was empty with the exception of owner, Teresa. The whole plaza was actually fairly empty, but it isn’t exactly in a booming commercial area. Nothing particularly off-​putting about that. I was immediately seated and told Teresa how I wanted my hair. I showed her a picture of how I wanted it just to be clear, and it seemed like she got a better idea of what I wanted.
She got to work on my hair right away, and I have to say, this was probably the fastest haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life except for when I used to buzz my hair in high school. Not twenty minutes passed from the time I walked in to the time I walked out, and Teresa cut my hair just the way I liked it!
Easily the most efficient haircut I’ve ever gotten. Though a little pricier than I’m used to paying (around $ 8 in Elk Grove vs. $ 14 here), I think the quality of the haircut and the time it saved me is well worth the price difference.

I have been cutting my hair at q hair with Theresa for almost 2 years now, and I have been happy ever since. I have tried a dozen different places In the area and they do not pay attention to the details like she does.
I told my gf to check it out and she really liked her haircut at a fraction of what it would Cost her in the city.
Nice employees as well.
They take visa, mc, and discover so its ez to get a nice cut, rinse, and a 5 dollar til for 23.00 on the charge, how ez can it get? :)

I’ve been to Q-​Hair Salon four or five times now. They always do a good job! The first time I went was for a black-​tie event, and I got my hair curled… I went in asking for curls that would work with my face shape, adn what I came out with was gorgeous! I’ve also gotten highlights there… they were done by a woman who didn’t do an amazing job, but didn’t do a bad job either. I ALWAYS get my hair cut by Maria, but Theresa cuts a friend of mine’s hair, and both of them always do a wonderful job!

Teresa the owner has been cutting my hair since 2001 when she was still working at Great Clips and I will never go else where. I live all the way in Fairfield and I don’t mind driving to get my fade from her. I’ve tried other places but noone is as good as Teresa. Five stars all the way.

Although a faux hawk is not her strength, Theresa does a great job with men’s hair. If you are looking for a simple cut, clean even fade, and affordable price you should give her a shot. She is the owner and worth waiting for if there is a line. No appointment necessary.

My husband has tried this place TWICE… we thought the first time was just a fluke, but…
The first time we went in it was a little busy. We were in for a wait, but instead a lady approached us and took us right away. The other men seemed to be waiting for one lady in particular… this should have been a clue! My husband wears his hair faded and this woman gave him a bowl cut. We tried numerous times to explain this to her, but she could not do it. Finally another hairdresser came over to «fix» his hair… which made it better, but the damage was already done. Sje apologized saying that the other lady usually does women’s hair. What?
So, we decided to give it one more try. My husband went in on his own and asked for the hairdresser who cuts men’s hair. And gets the same woman!!! Not wanting to be rude, he sat down anyway and allowed her to butcher his hair again and this time no one came to save the day. I’ve heard great things about some of the other hairdressers, but 3^rd won’t be the charm.

This place is marvelous. Great pricing, eagerness to work with customers, and quick understanding. I brought in a photo of Hermione at the Yule Ball from Harry Potter, and I came out with the most amazing hair for my Senior Prom. They even opened specially on that Sunday because they knew my high school was having prom that day and wanted to be available to those of us with smaller pocketbooks than the patrons of high-​priced salons. Got a great job on my eyebrow wax too — despite having relatively flat brows, she was able to accentuate what curve was there to make them look nice.
This is a place that I remember and can see myself going back to when home to visit — and I’ve tried out a great many different places.

This salon is a hidden gem; I’m so thankful that I stumbled upon it. Maria did fantastic and magical things to my curly mess of a mop. Not only was the salon able to take me at the last minute but their prices were very reasonable. I am now their number one fan.
