We have been here several times and we are definitely fans. The beers tend to err on the higher side of moderately priced *but* they’re all exceptional quality. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the same beer twice and I have never had a bad beer. They have 15 rotating beers on tap, featuring many local brews, and an ever wider variety in their beer cooler. The staff is always exceptionally kind and personable, and the patrons are laid back and inviting. You walk in and everyone treats you like family. We like supporting local business whenever possible and the fine people at Random Tap have definitely earned our loyalty.

Love this place and its crew! It’s like candyland for adults! We’ve had some fun night here and have stayed late with the owners and family playing card games, listening to music, and of course drinking great beers.

Girlfriend recommended it and it did not disappoint. Great selection and wonderful atmosphere. They renovated the back deck and I plan to use that a lot this summer.

Just spent a wonderful evening watching March madness and feeling like I was at home! Strawberry cider is amazing! Can’t wait to come back on a Thursday for trivia night I hear it’s a blast!

If there was a sixth star I’d give it six. I went there for happy hour last night. Recently heard about this bar and had no expectations. Initially I thought this could be one of those«rough Elgin» bars. Not the case at all as it was about 30 «beer nuts» in a room. Everyone was enjoying a host of unique beers from all over the country. It was literally amazing. The 15 tapped 1⁄6 barrels that they had flowing was awesome. They kicked 4 barrels in the time I was there but had awesome beers that followed them up. They rotate kegs quick which I loved! Basically every beer was amazing. The staff also was outstanding. Dan is the man and seemed to be the personality of the bar. The ladies with him were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a beer in there for everyone and they were glad to help if the didn’t have a macro you were accustomed to. Not sure bud or Miller lite was there so hit some other place if that’s your bag. There’s no food but they’re totally cool if you want to bring your own or call the Pontiac House of Pizza. I had an awesome time last night and plan to be back many times. Well Done Elgin!

If you are headed out here for visit stay on Two Notch or take the Clemson exit as the Pontiac exit has a road closed. Once you get here you find a comfy little bottle shop with lots of beers on tap and free samples if you like sampling before you commit to a strange new exciting craft beer. After you get your pint and pretzels you may want to play some Black Sabbath or some other good tunes on their juke box, who knew they still existed in today’s modern times. A nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly conversation is to be found here. If I lived a little closer I would stop in more often for a bottle from the coolers or something from the taps. Great addition to the northeast area that’s original and breath of fresh air.

Random Tap is the Sh! t! We stumbled upon this after visiting Re-Find, and can’t wait to go back. It’s a charming little craft beer bar. Great prices as well as selection. I LOVE sour beers, but they’re not something you get that regularly in Columbia, so I enjoyed a pint of a sour, and then a flight of their other beers. Took home a build your own six pack. Told the wife I’ll now go shopping with her at Sandhills if we get to go to Random tap before & after! Great place in the NE.
