I stopped I here for breakfast a few weeks back and it was great! Really good food, super friendly staff, the baked beans that were on special were AMAZING. I can’t wait to go back at night to try out the outdoor space and margarita specials. Paper plates and cups are definitely an odd choice, but everything else makes up for it. Overall, a great local hangout.

A group of us came here for Sunday brunch. The menu is simple, and the prices are standard for the area. There is a nice outdoor space and about equal number of seats indoors. This is truly a «local» spot, where everyone knows the chef and runs into people they know here. They’ve recently revamped the space to include a bar, clearly trying to attract a later night crowd. They advertise karaōke nights, too.

Stopped for breakfast. WAAY too expensive for what you get. B-fast for 3 was over $ 45! $ 11 for a hash omlette? Yikes! Omlette was just OK… eggs were a bit odd, not convinced they were real eggs(EggBeaters maybe?). Plastic silverware, plastic juice cups and styrofoam plates were quite off-putting. Maybe that’s why the prices are so high?

Sue’s should get 5 stars based on their food but I’m giving them 3 for the sole fact that they serve all their food on PAPER plates and give you PLASTIC utensils. I mean, who pays to go out to eat to drink out of paper cups and cut food on a paper plate with a plastic knife? I order the eggs benedict with hash and it was delicious. However, cutting through an english muffin that’s on a soggy paper plate is not enjoyable.

I’ve heard about Sue’s II from my niece, who lives down the street, and I finally made it there for lunch yesterday! I certainly won’t wait very long to go back! I had a BLT with hand cut fries and it was the best BLT I’ve ever had! The thick cut bacon was cut and cooked perfectly and they sure don’t skimp! Very fresh lettuce and ripe tomatoes(in November!) with just the right amount of mayo made the perfect sandwich! The fries were perfectly cooked — golden and tender! My sister had the haddock dinner that was on special and the very large fillet of fresh haddock was breaded lightly, cooked until golden and flaky! She gets haddock wherever it’s offered so when she says it’s some of the best she’s had I know it truly must be! Although she usually doesn’t like pineapple in her coleslaw she said Sue’s II coleslaw was so good she didn’t mind it! The service and the«regulars» were wonderful, too! A very homey, casual, clean and friendly place! Just the kind of place I love! I especially love the photos on the wall(which are for sale!) but I have to admit that on that score I am a bit biased. My niece is the photographer that took them! Once you see them you’ll know why I’m so very proud of her! I’ll be going back in a couple of weeks with some friends — I hate to wait that long, but while I grew up in Eliot, I now live 45 minutes away. Just a note to some of the other reviewers — Sue’s II now takes credit/debit cards! So don’t let that hold you back from going again!

I recently noticed this new place on my way from MA to Sanford, ME, a trip me and my family make almost every weekend. It is an ideal location to break up the trip for us. First the good news: food is good(we did breakfast); the service was excellent; the place was clean and pleasant enough inside. Now the bad, and this is serious, they don’t take credit cards which resulted in a meager tip since I don’t usually carry much cash)(that is business suicide!) and everything is served on paper including the coffee at the table. Come on Sue, get a Square device for your IPad and buy a dishwasher, otherwise the odds are against you in an incredibly competitive business. I want you to succeed!

Sue’s II restaurant & bar opened earlier this year on Route 236 in Eliot, formerly Pawsitive Steps. Sue’s Seafood Market is located in Kittery. This new very casual restaurant serves up breakfast, lunch, and dinner 6 days a week. The cozy dining room has table seating and seating at the bar in the same room. Black plastic utensils and napkins are set up at each table. They offer the standard breakfast dishes, sandwiches, burgers, chowder, and fried seafood dinners. The prices here seem reasonable and some good daily specials are offered for breakfast and lunch including $ 1.99 breakfast sandwiches and $ 5.95 seafood lunches(with fries & slaw). I stopped by for dinner takeout very recently and ordered the 2 Crab Cakes Dinner($ 9.99 plus tax) with fries and slaw. The food was ready to go in under 10 minutes. The hand cut fries(slightly thicker cuts) were very good, which were deep fried light brown with the skins on. The cole slaw was tangy with chopped cabbage and pineapple chunks, a nice touch. The deep fried crab cakes were decent and tasted just fine, though not close to being a Maryland crab cake. The golden brown breading was crisp on the outside & not greasy and the inside texture was hot and soft with a 50⁄50 mix of breading and shredded crab stick meat(what I expected for the price paid). The dinner roll was soft and slightly chewy. I would stop in again, but I will try to get here during lunch hours for the $ 5.95 lunch special of the day.
