A slick sales man agreed to a 53.00 monthly charge for local phone and internet. The monthly bill was 93.00 or over 75% more in taxes and other bogus charges. Not to mention the internet connection had the speed of 1980’s era. So when I finally found an alternative, I tried to cancel the service, however, the slick sales man on the phone wouldn’t accept it and I was switched from manager to manager for at least an hour to try to persuade me what a good deal I had and that they would do better. Being that I had given them plenty of chances and I had made up my mind (the alternative has no contracts), the only option I had available to get rid of them was to stop paying for the services. A few months later I get a bill for over 600.00. How can that be? How come no one does anything about those idiots gauging people that way?
