Locally owned and operated seafood restaurant. I have tried fried shrimp, flounder, salmon, the fish sandwich and much more and everything has been cooked perfectly. Very Clean restaurant with friendly staff. They also have fresh seafood that can be bought, such as shrimp, flounder, king, scallops, etc.

I can normally eat anything, but this place was horrible. I ordered the flounder, which was so salty I actually gagged. When I tried to cut through the salt by taking a bite of cole slaw, it tasted like it went bad. There was a lot of people coming through, mostly getting take out. So I would think that the locals enjoy the fried foods offered here, but I would highly encourage that this place gets passed on.

This was a recommendation from a local saying it was the best seafood in town. That’s probably because it’s pretty much the only seafood in town besides Captain D’s. I had crab cakes. No filler so it was pure crab, but it was also deep fried. New for me. Hush puppies good, the sweet type. French fries hot and crispy. Slaw… ehhh ok. Broiled flounder. ehh ok. Corn… ehhh ok. Packaged tartar sauce and cocktail sauce… ewww. Come on. It’s not that hard to make good sauces for seafood. This place is also very reasonable price wise. Order your food, pay, sit down and wait for your number to be called. No frills. Entertainment provided by children being unmanaged by their parents. Other patrons also very comical. Outside entertainment provided by seagulls dive bombing man across the street. Had to see it to believe it. I ducked myself when I saw it happen. Bathrooms were clean and huge. The cake dessert in the case looked melty. My thoughts are there has to be a better place a little drive away, but maybe not. If only the crab cakes had not been deep fried I might have given them a 3 star, but have to hold on 2 stars.

Man, this is the BEST seafood joint in the Elizabeth City area! I live in Greensboro, NC, and wherever I find myself visiting EC, I must stop by to get a serving of this good food! If you don’t want to wait a long time though, call in your order ahead of time!

The best seafood I’ve ever had fried! I ordered trout and shrimp dinner and I couldn’t get enough! Prices were affordable, service was amazing, and the vibe of the restaurant was peaceful. You could also come here to purchase different varieties of fish and shellfish to make your own dinner at home. If you’re around the area, you must stop by and try their food! Hush puppies were my fav!

Local joint for(mostly fried) seafood but it was excellent. Everything was really perfectly seasoned and cooked. Several items are available steamed or broiled for those not up for fried food. Everything we sampled we loved to include: Fried oysters Steamed Snow crab legs Soft shell crab Broiled scallops and shrimp Fried okra Coleslaw Ok, the corn on the cob was a touch mushy BUT this was made up for by a heavenly roll which is like a cross between a roll and lightly crispy on the outside not sweet donut. I don’t know the proper name but I have had these before in upscale restaurants. no beer or wine, no fuss– just Quality Seafood as the name suggests.

Great fresh fish market. All the usual suspect in that regard. But as for the restaurant, well all the food is fried, so there is that. But man it is good! The cole slaw is fresh crisp and hand cut. The fried shrimp is worth trading first born children for. It isn’t a heavy flavor hiding batter. Call ahead because it can get really really really busy at dinner time!!!

The food is just okay. I bought a ½ snow crab dinner a few weeks ago and there was lots of crab in the box… the hushpuppies aren’t that good… very dry. Cookout has better ones. I get home today with a ½ lb snow crab meal and there is 4 legs and half a body… Got the scale out and it is not even a half pound. I would like to get what I pay for.

we were looking for a seafood restaurant we are from out of town… and I found out that a lot of locals eat here. when we pulled in the parking lot it was pretty full on a Thursday night. it is basically a no frills restaurant that you have to order from the counter, but the food is really inexpensive and good quality. if you want something inexpensive but not sure where to go, take a chance on this place. You will not regret it.

My husband and I had the sampler. This was the best seafood we have in a long time. This is where the locals go.

EVERY time I come to visit this part of North Carolina I stop at Quality Seafood. The seafood is SO fresh, seasoned and consistent every visit. Even if I’m not that hungry, I won’t leave town without eating here at least once each visit. PROS: Fried scallops Oysters Flounder Shrimp Sweet tea Coleslaw The PRICE. CONS: No locations in Las Vegas. Can’t take any with me to Las Vegas

I’ve purchased seafood from here many times and it’s fresh and good. This was however my first time eating in the resturant. It must be very popular because it was very busy on this rainy evening. Because of a fish allergy, I was not able to eat the seafood. Most everyone else at my table had seafood and seemed to enjoy it. My wife said the shrimp were good. Almost everything is fried. I had the Bar BQ dinner and it was decent Q. The slaw was good as were the hush puppies. Service is fast; you place your order and wait for your number to be called and then take your food to your table. The store design could be better. The order line is right in front of the entry door, making it hard for others to enter if there’s a long line. If you like fried seafood this is probably the best in town.

Quality Seafood has a price that cant be beat. Heres the break down on my favorite bottom feeder, the oyster: Bag(One dozen): $ 5.99 Peck(15lbs.): $ 16.99 ½ Bushel: $ 24.99 Bushel: $ 49.99 When you get up into the bushel range, that is an absurd amount of oyster for the price. So GOOD! All seafood is locally purchased, so its always fresh. A+.
