Had appointment at 12pm. Arrived on time, had 2 people in waiting room ahead of me. Got called into the room at 12:45. X-Rays done(which all the equipment in the office is noticeably old and outdated, including the lead vest which was being held together by scotch tape) and finally got to sit with the dental hygienist a whole hour after my appointment. Mind you I just came in for a cleaning. Hygenist was too busy talking to someone else to acknowledge me. Finally came over and said are you ready. I’ve been here for an hour! Of course I’m ready! This had to be the absolute worst dental visit in my life. I felt like I was getting a shower during my cleaning. Water and plaque flying everywhere. No chance to spit, even involuntary reflexes to spit that you get while laying down she just kept charging away. After the plaque removal was done I asked to spit she just told me to close my mouth that the vacuum would take care of it. I have a mouth full of plaque can’t I just rinse? So again she kept charging away, this time applying the fluoride on top, all without ever getting up from the chair or a chance to close my mouth. Finally got to spit and needed a shower after all was said and done. Had water splatter all over my face and shirt. Ridiculous. Waited for the doctor, doing nothing, for another 15 minutes before he came in took a look over and said all was well. The office staff is nice as well as the doctor but they need better time management. And to get rid of that dental hygienist that has no finesse or seems like has never had a cleaning herself. A simple dental cleaning took almost 2 hours. Should have just found a groupon and paid a third of the price and saved myself an hour and a half.
