I hate the fact I am reviewing a hospice center and pray that no one needs to ever look for a center. If you do need hospice for a loved one, this is the place to go. My grandmother sadly needed to stay there for 4 days before she departed us. The facility is clean beyond belief. They worked on it every moment of every day. The staff took such good care of my grandmother. They continuously checked in on her to make sure she was comfortable and also rotated her and kept her clean. I have heard so many horror stories of facilities that just kept their patients drugged. Here, the continuously checked her need for medicine. The facility also cared for my entire family. They made sure we were okay and spoke to us in such a caring manner. They helped to keep us fed, comfortable, and sane during this horrible time. They had things to keep my children busy both inside and outside. I also thought the chapel was a calming place. The procession the staff shared in with my family as my grandmothers body was taken will be engrained in my memory. The staff really helped make this situation easier on all of us.

All of the staff went about their jobs in the kindest and most unobtrusive manner. They went out of their way to comfort us while making sure my brother in law was as pain free as possible. The tranquil and beautiful grounds made us feel as if his last days on earth were peaceful. If your loved one has insurance coverage this is the place to be.

I was staying at this facility for 10 days before my mom passed. The place has everything you need and the nurses, volunteers and maintenance are over the top. I applaud all of these brave souls for taking on the positions that they do day in and day out. The appliances are all stainless steel in the kitchen are provided for your use. You can shower and wash daily. The place is all about comfort and it is peaceful. My mom passed on 11/15/2014. This was a perfect place for my mom and I.

Over 4 months ago, we transferred my dad to this hospice facility. My sister checked it out first before we moved dad over there. She said the place is modern and beautiful vs where we were at. We also wanted to be closer to home. We trusted her judgement and off we went. You can see in dad’s eyes that he liked this place. It’s off the highway but in a peaceful and quiet area. We were greeted by one of the volunteers and all the staff members. The place looked like a new, modern«bed and breakfast» place in a lodge. There was a full kitchen with all the amenities fridge, breakfast table, a full dinning table, full stove top n oven, microwave, and they even have cooking utensils and dinning ware real plates and silverware. They even make fresh baked cookies daily for everyone to enjoy. They also have a vitamix to use too. The kitchen walls are windows and a soundproof doors which was nice be caused my family talks and laughs out loud lol! They have plenty of space for guest and patients to sit listen to music, lounge, watch tv. There’s a kids room with a huge TV and play area, again sound proof. They also have private rooms for family I rest and conference rooms too. They have a lovely chapel, so peaceful with a back yard to also sit outside. My dad’s room was huge! It felt like we’re in a luxury hotel. King size adjustable bed, huge flatscreen tv with cable, dad loved his Anthony Bourdain no reservations show! Plenty of windows to let the sun shine in and they had plenty of space for visitors to come and sit with you and a pullout bed as well. You can also add a couple of more roll away lounge chairs too, can you tell I have a huge family! I also notice the little things like all the paintings display around the place, animal towels in the room we had elephants and a welcome card. Our staff was also helpful and friendly. When dad passed in his sleep the next morning the staff made sure they gave dad their full attention. In the chapel the small ceremony was lovely. For the short amount of time we stayed there, I still remember the experience! I would recommend a place for my loved ones to stay in hospice. Checkout this place for yourself, cause this is a place to stay. Not only do they take care of the patient, they also take care of you!

Lipstick on a broken pig! Cheap substandard non clinical non hospital grade furniture esp recliners that your loved one won’t be allowed to use. Lazy staff your loved one won’t be bathed ambulated nor allowed to be wheeled out to the junk furniture packed covered patio at the front of the ‘residence’. Privacy non existent as the brace the room doors required for fire code and occupancy to be closed and will block then open to the point of breaking them. Impossible to get staff to leave a door closed let alone EVER knock on one. Food is horrendous. Must be ordered a day in advance comes at unpredictable times and is always stale and hot foods cold cold foods warm ice ice cream and other frozen foods melted for a hospice residence promoting comfort and care substandard old stale hospital food from down the street is beyond unacceptable! The idiocy of having go order same a full day plus in advance for hospice patients defies logic! Pain management is a quack you have two choices insufficient analgesics or terminal sedation with intentional dehydration period. At $ 350 room and board above and beyond hospice service fees is outrageous. Having to deal with same on top of several ‘permanent’ Alzheimer’s residents who are obviously neither hospice patients nor terminally I’ll but being warehoused by cash paying family with pull with newly accension acquired alexian hospice along with buyout of alexian medical center st Alexius and alexian behavioral health where the use of the branded name only is a major mistake. Avoid like the plague the place is less than a pig with lipstick on it.
