I think this store in particular takes the crown for the worst customer service ever. I went in to open up a few lines today and since I wasn’t buying any phones, they signed me in and complete ignored me and helped out others who came after I did. Every time a register was free, they sent that associate to the floor. They kept looking at me while whispering to each other. Another worker went to my paperwork and wrote down«button» and walked away. After waiting an hour, I was finally called. And after I was called, they called all the associate that they sent out on the floor back to the register. Seriously?! The associate helping me quickly scratched out«button» that was written down as he was asking me for my personal information. He then told me I had to go to att to open up my line cause they couldn’t do it. I think this is all b.s. Just because I was not going to buy new cell phones, they totally just blew me off. I just called AT&T to see if there was something wrong on my account. I was told that there was nothing in the system showing that best buy even attempted to open the lines for me. They didn’t even do a credit check.

I decided I was going to buy a new double din car stereo for black friday. I went to Fry’s the week prior to black friday and could not find a worker or any prices/labels on the stereos that i was interested in. I went back to Fry’s on black friday and they did not have much I was interested in and were not offering advanced installation for free. They did tell me not to go to Best Buy because the Geek Squad would have«hidden charges». I went over to Best Buy and bought a Kenwood with free advanced install. I took it to be installed at the elk grove Best Buy. I had no trouble getting an appointment. Ed-something did the work on my car and he took his job serious. He did an excellent job and when he was done he explained all the features to me. I could tell he was passionate about what he does. I had an issue I wanted fixed and called and spoke to Brandon a few days later, he brought me right in with no problem and fixed it for me. Excellent customer service. Everyone there was helpful and there were no «hidden charges» at the end. I highly recommend this geek squad. They care about the work they put out.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to this Best Buy in the middle of the day. They were not crowded. I needed help to buy a portable speaker for my phone. 2 sales associates looked right at me, I said I be needed help but they just kept walking. Horrible customer service. I will never come back to this store. Fry’s will be getting all my business
