So I went here today with my little cousin because it’s been a reeeeeally long time since I’ve had ayce Kbbq! My first time at this location though. For appetizers we had the Thai chili wings, Cajun garlic fries(new?), and potstickers. For meat we got two rounds of the garlic pork belly, the short ribs with bone in, spicy pork, and some kind of beef I forgot exactly which one she chose. Then for dessert we shared a green tea macaron ice cream sandwich! The potstickers were just typical, nothing special. The Cajun garlic fries were tasty but way too greasy. It would squirt out when you bit into them, but I love fries so I ate them all anyways LOL. The wings were good but a little too much sauce. Nice to try but wouldn’t get next time. Out of the meats I’d probably stick to the beefs and garlic pork belly(which was my #1 fave). The macaron ice cream sandwich was good but it was kind of pricey compared to other places I’ve had it, by a good $ 2+. But after all that meat ice cream sounds too good, so the price didn’t jump out to me. Plus it comes with rice, salad, veggies and side dishes. Ask for the gochujang! The spicy red pepper sauce to dip with your meat. Overall I’d say it was a good experience except I never got a water refill even after we asked. Come with big parties though because you get to try more stuff! And prepare for the food coma after an ayce experience

This place is different from other KKBQ places in that they give you small amounts of meat, only 3 at a time, they don’t give you any scissors, and there are American appetizers to order. Their menu is really simple and reminds of Boiling Crab type places where you can tell it’s built for Americans ordering(be them young Asian-Americans or old Caucasian country folk). I’ve been to South Korea and K-town in LA and this place is definitely different from the countless amounts of tasty KBBQ places I’ve been able to try. You can 100% tell that it caters to a predominantly non-Asian audience. The quality of the meat is average. Like most meals I’ll ever have, I’ll always prefer quality over quantity and there is nothing special about the stuff they serve here. Albeit, you will for sure get your Korean BBQ and kimchi fix though. I love how they have the trendy new Ice Cream Macaron Sandwiches. They will cut it in half for you and put it over some syrup or something. Get that taro flavor! I probably won’t be coming back here – maybe a different location, but you can go on with your life if you’ve never tried Oz.

Have been here a handful of times & every single time has been better than the last! From customer service to the food, you can’t go wrong. The fact that this location is so close to Lodi, Galt & Stockton it gives such a great opportunity for those who’ve never tried KBBQ to finally experience what all the hub-bub has been all about. The atmosphere can be anywhere from calm and inviting to live and exciting, it all depends on the times and days you decide to go. The prices also vary if you’re going for AYCE, which is the big home run here next to their shaved ice dessert. If you haven’t gone here yet. Well. What’re you waiting for?!

I really love coming to this particular Oz vs. the Bradshaw one. The ventilation in here is a lot better with the open space and high ceilings. I’ve only ever had the AYCE, during lunch & dinner. They accommodate big parties fairly well and the servers I’ve had have always been great. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the hostess the last time I went wasn’t very attentive or welcoming. I walked in to check in for my reservation of 10 people and she failed to acknowledge me, cutting it close to our reservation time, considering their reservation policy has a 15min grace period. Other than that, I love the food and the price is great for AYCE w/sides.

Can’t turn down an invite to Oz KBBQ! Usually go to the one on Bradshaw more often, but have been to this Elk Grove location a few times, located right off of I-5, Elk Grove Blvd exit in the same complex as Flaming Grill. On a Thursday evening, four of us took the challenge and did some serious damage, with 4.5 rounds(pounds?) of meat! Tried most everything, the galbi, bulgogi, bbq chicken, chili pork, pork belly, garlic shrimp, mussels… and of course the wasabi salad, rice, and banchan to fill ‘er up. The bar didn’t look too busy for a weeknight, the NBA playoff game was on some screens, and some had the random Asian music videos playing. For some reason we went through grills so fast, had to keep changing it out at least twice when it got too charred and smoky. Water spill was taken care of promptly. Server was great in bringing me a fresh pot of hot water for tea, replenishing the rice bowl, etc. The big secret though, was the brilliant member of our party who got Oz giftcards from Costco($ 100 cards for $ 80, or $ 200 worth for $ 150) and basically paid for everybody. What a guy! Parking was easy, no wait. Then again it was a weeknight, but I recall coming in on a weekend afternoon and it also wasn’t too busy. AYCE is usually most popular for dinnertime on weekends for sure, both locations. When you want your Korean BBQ fix, for a special occasion or just because, come to Oz!

I’m not a big fan of buffets, but this place won me over! For $ 18.99(Monday-Thursday 11 am-4 pm), it is a GOOD deal. There is quality in the food that is served here. I have been here many times before and always walk out happy and satisfied. My boyfriend and I like to come here on Monday around the time they open. Not many people come around that time. You get to walk in and get seated right away(meaning you get to eat sooner) ! Each time I have visited this place, the customer service is GREAT. We have always been greeted with a smile. We have only encountered friendly personalities with the staff. I find that the potstickers are quite addicting, it’s hard not to order them more than once. I can easily find myself eating 10 or more of them! Try the Cajun garlic fries, they taste a lot better then the regular french fries. I do love the side dishes, especially the japchae, kimchi, and wasabi salad. I like to eat the side dishes together with the meats and appetizers, it gives a different flavor in every bite! The pineapple slices are delicious when grilled and gobbled up with the meats! My personal favorite meats to devour include the pork belly, galbi, and sesame beef. All so very TASTY. Some people may not like to cook their own food when they go out because it’s extra work or they will smell after. Personally I think it’s a fun way of bonding with friends and family. Try it out, the yummy food is waiting for you :)

I’ve been to this location a couple of times and I’ve been to the other location in Sacramento a few times. Between the two, I prefer this location in Elk Grove. This location is newer, cleaner, and the layout of tables is much more ergonomic than the Sacramento location which always felt over-crowded and stuffy. The service at this location is great. The servers are friendly, they frequently check on your table to make sure everything is going good. At this location they are constantly offering to change your grill to keep your food from tasting burnt, which is great! Food wise, they have a good selection of meat, poultry, and shrimp. I recommend the sesame beef. They provide all the condiments and side dishes and will refill the side dishes upon your request. When I’m craving all you can eat Korean BBQ, I will definitely be coming back here.

Enjoy dining here and will continue to dine here again. Wait Time: Depending when you come and the size of your party, the wait time can be longer. Being that it is a buffet, patrons tend to take longer to dine and food can keep on coming. Be expecting to wait to be seated which is worth the wait. Bar: While waiting, I recommend visiting the bar which is equipped with plenty of drink choices. We ordered several shots of Patron and depending on bartender some shots are poured in shooter glasses. The bigger the shots, the happier I am. Appetizers: To fill your tummy, they offered several appetizers as fillers. I enjoyed the cajun garlic fries. The pot stickers and sweet chili wings were okay — nothing special. BBQ Items: There was a good selection to chose from. The options were chicken, beef, pork and seafood. For the beef, I loved the boneless prime beef and bone in short rib although it could use a bit more flavor. I also enjoyed the garlic pork belly. For marination of the BBQ items, I think either more marinade or longer marinade time was needed for a more flavorful taste. Side Items: I love the side dishes that were served. I am a big fan of the pickled vegetables and sesame marinade vegetables/fish cakes. I usually ordered sangchu lettuce at an additional cost. The sangchu lettuce is basically red leaf with a side of sliced fresh garlic and yummy soybean paste! I highly recommend the sangchu lettuce! Desserts: The kids had ice cream scoops — there were only 2 choice: vanilla or green tea. We had the mochi ice which is basically shaved ice with red beans, mochi and fresh fruits served with a light coconut milk. I love the mochi ice. The serving size is big enough to feed 5 people. Although not really authentic Korean food, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I will definitely come back again.

Came here on a Saturday night with a large group of people. We had a reservation and they seated us right away even though we were early. Our server Ryan was very attentive and checked on us at the right times. We never had to wait excessively and the food was awesome as usual. Friends and I would rather come here over the Bradshaw location for multiple reasons: the establishment itself is a lot newer and nicer inside. The huge bar is perfect for waiting at while you get your table. They also offer more variety in terms of their meats at this location. It’s worth the extra 10 – 15 minute drive up I-5. Plus it’s not as crowded as the Bradshaw location pretty much always is. Wish they had more beer selection. All the have is coors light, Sapporo, or blue moon. For that I give them 4 stars. But anyway, we love coming here and always leave feeling satisfied.

It was my first time at this location as I’ve been to the other Oz a good couple of times. Entering the restaurant, it’s really dark and dim and the dining area is huge and spacious! I came with two other friends and we were seated right away. AYCE, but you’re able to order 4 items at a time. Once you finish with your items, you can order more at any time! The overall quality of the food was pretty good. All of the meat options were tasty. I love that they have bone-in or boneless options to satisfy customers’ preferences. You can pass on the garlic fries, but the broccoli with the house ranch is so good! I probably ended up ordering like 4 plates! Overall, the food is pretty good and the service is great also. Very attentive and friendly staff who catered to our needs. Definitely would be back bc who doesn’t love Korean BBQ?!

I’m so glad we moved to Elk Grove from Stockton. Now we are down the road and I can come here all the time lol. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding here. The waitresses never forget about you. Dishes are cleared very quickly by whomever passes by your table, whether they were your server or not. The place is always busy and packed and for good reason — this place is awesome. My favorite go-to proteins are the galbi(marinated boneless ribeye) and the garlic marinated pork belly. Aww man, I’m salivating just thinking about it lol. I can’t get enough of their broccoli salad, too. It’s kind of pricey fare but definitely worth it because you’ll leave super satisfied and happy every single time. I never get to eat dessert because I’m always too full(insert sad face). One day I shall try one though.

I’ve been craving Korean all week so I was a VERY bad Catholic today and ate an entire cow at Oz. We like to come here very early in the evening(5ish). It’s not very crowded and there’s no wait. Today we got seated right away and started with the pot stickers and chili wings. Unlike most AYCE places, Oz has really good quality food. Most places would skimp on the appetizers since they’re assuming most people are there for the meat. I would be happy with their appetizers alone, but I have to pace myself since I don’t want to get too full before the main event. Then we got down to business and got the galbi, sesame beef, bulgogi and mussels. The latter is a recent addition. They served the best banchan including my faves: japchae, daikon, kimchee, broccoli, bean sprouts, and potato salad. The meat and the banchan really hit the spot. Craving was thoroughly satisfied. Service was beyond excellent. We had two servers helping us and we never ever had to ask for anything. They came by often to check on us and changed out the grill a couple of times without us even asking. Our banchan and drinks were refilled throughout our meal. Seriously fantastic service!

I am a much bigger fan of the Elk Grove location than the Bradshaw location. The space is just bigger and seems more like a nightclub with big screen TVs in every directions! I also like the staffs here a bit more, they seem more cheerful and appreciative for us coming in. I’ve been to this location a numerous times now, on my last recent visit with my group of friends, we all went with the AYCE during lunch time. Beware, just because it’s lunchtime, does not mean the price is cheaper than dinnertime. You will pay the same amount depending on which days you go. Our server was Trang, she is very fast paced and on top of every tasks! Luckily our party was only 4 so each of us got to pick a single item due to the limit of 4 items to a grill. My favorite was the sesame beef. They offered two new appetizers here that I have not seen before. Now serving are muscles(which comes in two flavors, one was spicy, but I don’t recall the other) and cajun fries. I got to try both of them and thought the muscles were very tasty. They are part of the AYCE appetizers so due give them a try! Trang was always on top of our orders, we were asked for our next orders before our meat ran low just to ensure that we have a constant flow of food coming in without long waits. Of all the side dishes, I absolutely love their broccoli. Trang knew we kept asking for them so she made sure to bring one over every now and then. :) It’s not every day that our server is on top of things the way this visit went. I’m truly grateful to be seated where we were. My friends all had a great time and we left very full and satisfied. Thanks OZ!

On Oahu, Korean BBQ is seen everywhere and you’ll be able to see some of my reviews. Oz is the first place I’ve been to on the mainland(Sacramento, Cali) and it was great. Mind you that all the Korean BBQ restaurants we’ve been to are like ‘mom and pop’ type places. The portions were the right size(small sample for two people). Mon through Thurs is all you can eat, and you can order 4 main items at a time. Kalbi was excellent, all meats were great, and the sides was great. Sure, I could sing them stars for the flat beer(seemed like the bottom of the keg). But the service made up for it. This place was like a night club, huge and there was always(purposely) a line at the front. I’m sure they did that to have people go to the bar to wait, but it’s worth the wait. We’ll definitely be back.

Came here on a Saturday and was told the wait would be 1.5 hrs but it ended up being 1 hr. Not too bad since I expected quite a bit of a wait anyway. Service was pretty good! We got our food before we got our water though. Our waitress forgot our water after we had asked twice but when she finally brought it she put lemon slices in them. The tables around us didn’t have lemon so I guess she way trying to make up for it. All of the food is delicious! My favorite is the bugolgi with a little bit of sriracha. It’s ~$ 20+ per person and I would say it’s definitely worth it. Definitely coming back!

I came to Oz around 3:00 on a sunday with four other people and our wait time was 45mins. The price for each person was $ 21.99 each. They do have a bar in the waiting area if you want to order drinks. If you come in on your birthday, you get to spin the wheel and you could possibly win a gift certificate. I love korean bbq! Oz is a good place because it is all you can eat but they also give you smaller, bearable portions in meat. This way you can space out yours meals and not have to worry about getting charged $ 5 for left over food. This is the only korean food that I’ve been to that serves Korea fried chicken and french fries. They also serve gyoza. With each meal you are served salad, a bunch of sides(kimchi, broccoli, bean sprouts, noodles and other items), mussels, and rice. They also have lettuce($ 1 fee) to wrap your meat in. Our server was super nice and very attentive. The food however came at a slow rate, something about incoming people and switching shifts. They also have dessert here, mochi, and snow, which is a type of shaved ice with fruit. I prefer this location because you don’t smell as much after you barbeque.

The all you can eat for $ 20 a person is such a deal! I’ve always frequent the Bradshaw location but personally like the Elk Grove location because it’s well ventilated.(Though, your clothes will still reek of K-BBQ when you get home!) Looove the all you can eat option with the numerous of delicious, tender & juicy meat they have to offer. They serve mussels that are also very good as well. They have plenty of side options from French fries, pot stickers, fried chicken & many more. They also provide a variety banchans(small little Korean side dishes) that are so good! The kimchee and broccoli with the creamy sauce are my favorites. This restaurant is bigger than the Bradshaw location. Came here for birthday celebrations before and they don’t offer any«good» prizes on their Spin-the-Wheel! The highest amount of gift card you can win is $ 5.(I believe Bradshaw had $ 100 on the wheel??) But regardless, they are still happy to come to your party to sing you a birthday song & offer you a free non-alcoholic drink. Located on I5 and Elk Grove Blvd., you should definitely stop by here if you get a chance. You won’t be disappointed, I promise! ;)

I can honestly say when it comes to restaurants, this is practically my second home. Oz is an all around great place to dine. When my friends from the bay area come to visit, it’s almost implied that we are going to Oz for dinner. Who can resist an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant with comfortable and roomy seating surrounded by large TV screens? Perfect for game days! The service is always exceptional! All the servers and staff are pleasant, quick and attentive. Servers will even bring the kiddos ‘kid friendly’ chopsticks if you ask. Oz offers a variety of meat selections — bulgogi, marinated short rib and sesame beef are my go tos. Ask for the sea salt and oil dipping sauce — this goes well with the pork belly and the unmarinated beef. The banchan offerings are delicious as well — broccoli, rice paper and noodles are a must have. Pro tip — try the salad with the broccoli sauce instead of the wasabi dressing it comes with. An absolute favorite of mine. Don’t overlook the appetizers — the chicken wings have a spicy sweetness and crunchy texture. The kiddo loves their potstickers — crunchy shell. Finally, where can I start with their fries? They are similar to the McD fries, but taste so much better! A must order with the meal. The only downside is the wait times on Friday and Saturday. I have waited here for over 1.5 hours at one point. So Pro tip — make reservations 24 hours beforehand if you are going Friday/Saturday with a large group. I was told reservations could be taken up to 3 hours before your dining time, but I’m not completely sure if Friday/Saturday counts.

If you love Korean BBQ— you should definitely come here. Hubby and I came on a Saturday night(yes, it was Halloween) and it was busy, but not too bad. The restauarant was festive and so were the servers and hosts– they were all dressed up. I must say that the service here is great. Our server checked helped us quickly, explaining whatever we needed and checked on us frequently. Our fav’s– galbi, sesame beef and pork belly. The potsticker appetizer is ok but a good side to the meal. Only thing is you walk out smelling like food but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. :)
