The only thing better than their amazing food is their magnificent chef. I love Chef Ray, he is just a great person. I have only eaten here once, but I met him on multiple occasions through a friend that worked here. Keep up the good work chef!

My boyfriend and I had a great time here. it’s a clean, cute, mod restaurant… it’s soul food, but the décor deems to me as asian fusion… they have soju on their drink menu?! The food was great here as well as the sides… looking forward to coming back… heard they opened another restaurant downtown

Always a great experience eating here. Everyone is so welcoming and nice, the food i’ve had has been great and I especially like their sweet tea served in a mason jar with mint and a sugar cane stick! The brown sugar pork chop… my fave so far.

Biked again to Elk Grove, but stayed on the West side of the city today. Table 260 caught my eye among many of Melanie D’s reviews. For 2 ½ years, Table 260 has been located in a relatively new strip mall. One saving grace is the ease of entrance on /exit from I-5. Chicken(Wings) & Waffles(*** ½ $ 11.95) Chicken Wings(3)(***) Unfortunately, for Table 260, the Chicken will also be compared to Roscoe’s… and Roscoe’s doesn’t just serve Wings with their Combos! Give me a ¼ or ½ Chicken! Waffles(1)(**** ¼) If you want to be like Roscoe’s… you have to give me two of these bad-boys! Texture of the(single) Waffle was perfect. What made this stand out was the already melted butter brought to the table in a small stainless steel dipping cup… along with a small container of Maple Syrup, this is very hard combination to resist! Tasted REAL(LY) Good! Garlic Fries(** $ 4.95) Presented in a white paper cone over a foot high held upright by a circular wire-metal stand… Nice presentation, but totally impractical! Unless you’re close to six feet tall, which I’m not, a person can’t even see over the top of the cone of Fries! Garlic Fries can be one of the hardest items to get«right». When the Garlic Fries were brought to the table Minced Garlic and Oil were oozing out of the bottom of the paper cone. Was very awkward to reach up and grab some Fries… eventually dumped contents onto my, now empty, plate. Just a tremendous amount of Oil and Minced Garlic… a little yucky, unfortunately. Sweet Tea(***** $ 3.25) Not your«Southern» Sweet Tea… it’s BETTER! In fact, this concoction is so unlike the Sweet Tea you know… Table 260 ought to rename it so as to not cause confusion. So good… they ought to bottle it. The Sugar Cane and the Mint Leaf make this stand out! One of the best Teas I’ve ever had! Reminds me, though, more of a tropical drink(Caribbean?) rather than something from the South; comes in a small and wimpy Ball Canning Jar. Can I take the Jar home? Guarantee you will not see this Sweet Tea in the ‘hood of South LA! Service(*****) Nice, ever-attentive Brianna. Limitless supply of Water and Sweet Tea. Was the only customer in the place, until I was finished then three cars pulled up for Lunch. Atmosphere is night-clubby and dark with painted black exposed ceiling rafters and exposed, bright utility ducts. Tables are colored Black; and there are flood-lit fake photographed paintings glued onto canvas or wood that line the walls. You could say the atmosphere is almost Romantic. The oddest thing is Sushi-style seating at the Grill area… that’s kinda weird! Along with the background music of instrumental Soul selections that reminded me of Booker T and the MGs, and Art which is not stylistically painted any longer, I mentioned to the owner(one of many partners) that his restaurant could be dropped in the middle of Berkeley or in San Francisco back in the 60s or 70s and it would not be out of place. Conclusion… not really enough Soul in their atmosphere or their menu… with oddities such as Dungeness Crab(Vietnamese, $ 35) and Pasta(American Bar Food). But, as the owner stated to me… this is a Fusion restaurant. The only Fusion I see is their Menu… unfortunately not in their Cooking!

I should eat at this place more than I do. The food is always very good to great. I’m a huge fan of the cajun chicken fettucine. It always feels like a classic family run place. The chef waves at you when you come in, the servers take great care of you.

Our first visit wasn’t successful. I live in Sacramento near CSUS and I didn’t mind the drive to Elk Grove because after reading Unilocal reviews and checking out their menu online I was excited to go! To begin with their directions on their website is wrong and the hours on their website is also wrong! According to the website, they closed at 11pm on Fridays, but when we got to the place the hours on the door said they closed at 10pm. We arrived at 9:20 and the doors were locked! There were a few customers still dinning, and we were standing at the door hoping the waiter would speak to us, but that didn’t happen. I called the following morning and the manager apoligized. She informed me they would fix their website, which they haven’t yet! She also told me they lock their doors 30 minutes before closing so if you plan to dine here make sure you arrive by 9 to be safe! I decided to give this place a second try since we didn’t have a chance to try their food and went last Sunday. For beverages we ordered the iced sweet tea that were placed in cute little jars. The sweet tea consisted of 2 cane sticks, mint, and lemon but it was too sweet for my tatse. I had to remove the sugar and add more water, but even that didn’t help as it was way too sweet! For appetizer we ordered fried green tomatoes with cajun sauce. I didn’t really like the batter as it was too thick and tasted dry even with sauce. The sauce tasted like thousand island dressing with a few spices added to it. When I think of the taste of green tomatoes I hope to taste a slight hint of sour and juice but it was just too dry! i like them sliced really thinly, and a light coat of batter keeps the tomato taste from being compromised. For my main course, I ordered catfish with garlic mashed potatoes. They used the same batter that they used on the tomatoes! The catfish were in 2 fairly sliced fillets – in my opinon this could’ve been placed in a sandwich, and probably would’ve been more tasty. It was too dry again for my liking. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes the most. My boyfriend ordered the full slab of ribs with vegetables. The vegetables was placed in a bowl marinating in melted butter! He enjoyed the ribs, but he also commented that his dad makes it better. This place is more of a gourmet type soul food restaurant. We were looking forward to a comfort food style menu. I don’t think I will return. The service was good and very attentive!

My boyfriend and I met Melanie D. here on Friday for a casual dinner. We had some car issues on the way and since I didn’t have her number with me I called the restaurant to see if they could get word to her that we were having problems. The gentleman who answered the phone(later was our waiter) was very friendly and helpful. Once, we finally arrived I was impressed with the nice water fountain at the entrance. It made the restaurant very inviting. Our waiter was super nice and offered up some of their special drinks but Melanie and I opted for their Mojito while the boyfriend had a bottled beer(they don’t have drafts). The mojito was quite tasty and full of mint but a little on the sweet side. Both of us had viewed the menu from their website prior to arriving so we kind of knew what we were getting. The appetizer sampler. We made sure with our waiter that we wouldn’t be heading to the slaughter yard after eating this first. The platter came out on a nice long and narrow plate. It wasn’t some huge round platter that caused embarrassment. It had crab dip, BBQ ribs, fried green tomatoes and spicy shrimp. Everything was very flavorful. The tomatoes were lightly battered with a nice cornmeal batter and not too tangy, the shrimp were nice and spicy but not over bearing and the crab dip was nice and creamy with chunks of artichoke and a hint of crab. My absolute favorite was the ribs! They were fall off the bone moist and very flavorful. The boyfriend has ordered the BBQ ribs dinner that came with choice of 2 sides. He had the garlic mashed potatoes and BBQ beans. He thought the ribs were decent. I thought his potatoes were nice and creamy and his beans were super rich which I really liked. I had to «sample» those a couple of extra times! Overall, I thought we had a nice dinner with a great waiter(although he could have been better at filling our water) and great company with decent food. The prices here are not bad and really reflect the comfy environment.

I never thought I’d be gorging on chicken & waffles and downing jar after jar of sweet tea in Elk Grove. I mean, BJ’s, TGI Friday’s and Chili’s doesn’t serve that type of fare, so I’m glad when an above average restaurant comes into my town so I can break away from the monotony that is chain restaurant slop. Personally, I’ve never had fried chicken & waffles, but now I’ve seen the delicious light and it all makes sense to me now. The servings here are out of control, so I don’t think anyone can complain on Table 260 skimping anybody on serving sizes. I think the only downer for me is that the food that Table 260 provides will serve you up with a mean case of «The Itis». Shamelessly stolen from , «The Itis»(for all you non Dave Chappelle watchers out there) is «the general feeling of lethargy and well-being experienced after eating a satisfying meal.» I would of loved to take a three hour nap after eating here, but it was 6:00 and I didn’t feel like ruining my sleep cycle. I know I punished my body after taking in so much of that rich goodness, so I can’t see myself eating here more than once a month just for the well being of my body. I also don’t eat grits very often, but the grits they served up here(aptly named«Buttered Grits») tasted like lard with fat dressing. The taste may be for some, but eating these grits explained why America is such a bovine nation. $ 3.25 for Sweet Tea is a rip too, even though it is some of the most delicious tea I’ve ever had and the refills are unlimited. Knock a dollar off of that price and I’d be more inclined to pay that. Table 260 will make you tired. Maybe even hate life and make you run three miles afterwards to make you feel a little better about yourself. But Table 260 makes fantastic food and should be visited by everybody, especially if you’re a fan of decadent food.

American-Soul Food Fusion. Definitely listen to the specials because the sauteed tilapia was so tasty tonight! Didn’t taste fishy & had a great lemon flavor all throughout. I also got the Cajun Chicken Fettucine which was a little too creamy & cheesy for me. I think that was the cause of my premature fullness. I had the sweet tea and couldn’t drink more than ¼ of it because it was SOSWEET. I know that normally the amount of sugar equals the amount of tea powder but some places I’ve been to do make it lighter. Service was 5 stars. Our waitress was very quick and enthusiastic, almost too much to be natural. Seating in the restaurant is very spaced out and décor is casual. I hear that there’s a jazz band on certain nights. Other items on the menu include chicken & waffles, catfish, jambalaya, ribs, eggs, grits & many heavy desserts.

This place is a must eat whenever I visit my sister in Elk Grove. My fiancé always orders the Fried Chicken & Waffles(chicken on the side)… and when he looks the other way, I sneak in bites of his waffle. My dish of choice is the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. I don’t do so good with spicy(or dairy for that matter), but its oh so good. My sister’s favorite dish is the catfish… and her husband orders a rack of ribs. The crab dip is sooo good(and I usually hate everything seafood). My fiancé can’t get enough of the fried green tomatoes and shrimp. Garlic fries are always a good thing… but what tops all this off? STRAWBERRYSODA!!! It’s very reasonably priced, and the staff is always quick and friendly. WARNING: This is not a place for dieters. You WILL overeat here… but you will enjoy doing it!

What I like most about this resturant is the ambience and the sweet tea. It has a soothing water-trickling structure in the entrance, nice candle lights, and a live band on Fridays and Saturdays.

I’m lucky to have friends in Sac who love food as much as I do and who always take us to restaurants that we enjoy. When they suggested Table 260, I was curious and found out that they label their food as American-Soul fusion. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and a soothing rain fountain when we entered the restaurant. The dark décor seemed to cool us down from the scorching summer heat. We started out with the sampler which included their fried green tomatoes, BBQ ribs, shrimp, and stuffed mushrooms. Everything on the plate was scrumptious! We also tried their Cajun-style fries. They were so yummy… deliciously crispy and served in these cute paper cones. I had the Jambalaya which was particularly good. We all shared what we had and everything we tried was perfectly spiced, just zesty enough without being too hot. I had heard a lot about Southern sweet tea and decided to try it, but I found it to be way too sweet for my taste. The service was friendly and quick and the waiter made sure that our drinks were always full(even my sweet tea). Soul food never tasted this good and I had to take a nap after my lunch. If you’re watching your figure, then you will definitely want to avoid this place… but damn you’re sure missing out!
