We moved out of Elk Grove two years ago but I just read that Vince’s is closing. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Sadly, the staff at Vince’s has let it be know that they will close forever on December 20, 2015. Elk Grove will have lost a legendary establishment after the passing of that day. A church will take ownership of the building, which is unfortunate, because Elk Grove needs more restaurants(and we have more than enough churches). I, for one, will miss«the steak dinner for two,» which included their delicious minestrone soup, salad, spaghetti and ice cream.

We came here and had the steak and pasta. I thought one of my co workers suggested this place but it was a client. The plus was the bread, so fresh and soft, I just wanted to make love to it lol. The place seems a little out dated and needs to have a refresher. The steak I will say was cooked to a medium perfection! The pasta on the other hand which I was almost looking forward to more then the steak since it seemed like the most legit looking Italian restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. Sadly I disappointed. The pasta tastes boxed and the the sauce was just bland. Not to mention the pasta was watered down… which I didn’t understand until I physically seen water on the sides of the meat sauce??? Weird. Probably will just stick to Brickhouse in Downtown Elk Grove

Best italian restaurant in town. Hands down and it has a family oriented feel to it. LOVELOVELOVE this place indeed. thursday nights there is pizza available made by the owners son(I think) and it is real authenic italian pizza. I had it for the first tiome and never tasted anything like it. You cannot beat the prices. i only had one bad experience with a waitress who was rather ignorant and a bit of a bigot but the owners were apologetic and accomodating. This is my own little slice of heaven and hopefully itll be yours too. Have the Lasagne, you won’t be sorry. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!

We have been coming here for years and still love it every time. The waiter Chris is on top of things, we never have to ask for anything he is always there. The two for $ 40 steak special is the bomb. Keep it real and I will definitely keep coming back.

9÷8÷15 Used to be 4 star, but after tonight I will not being returning anytime soon. The salad was about 5 bites drowned in dressing. They used to have kidney and garbanzo beans, carrots and croutons. But I guess they do not care anymore. The bread was like day old bagettes not fresh or hot. It used to be a fresh baked round served warm, what has happened? I got minestrone soup, it was Luke warm, waited 5 min for cheese :( Next I ordered the chicken marsala it came out, the sauce was a different color few mushroom and the chicken was dry boiled, rubbery nastiness. So I sent it back for sirloin steak and kept my pasta. 20 min later when everyone else was finished eating, my steak finally arrived. The steak was cooked to perfection but I was no longer hungry. 10 min later we finally got spumoni for desert. They must of changed brands because it had no flavor, and the pistachio had no crunchy ice crystals. This used to be a special treat, even my kids said it wasn’t good. Finally the bill came… I just gave her the card without looking. She returned it without the original itemized check? It was way more then it should of been. So I GOT Up and Looked at a menu. She had charged me for the steak meal that came with wine! I questioned her and she said oh she thought I wanted the bigger steak. Tried to convince me that was what I had been served! I said well where was my wine then? Because the new menu doesn’t list what came on special but I’ve been coming for years so I knew! I know she was just trying to pull a fast one. For this reason especially I will never recommend anyone go there. Dishonesty, as well as lousy service. Management should have a serious talk with her. I am so sad to take Vince’s off my list of go to places, what a shame.

This place is awesome. If you are in the mood to grub, not just eat, but grub, then this is your go– to, old school Italian restaurant. The chicken parmesan is majestic and the meat sauce is a delightful treat. Our waitress Monica was a big help to us deciding what to order. She rocks! This is our new go-to Italian restaurant in the area.

First, the service was attentive, excellent and personable. The Steak and Pasta was delicious according to the lucky people who were smart enough to order it. The lasagna– I have tasted better from Michaelina’s. Not worth the $$. Just hamburger-no spices-red sauce, cheese and pasta. Good serving size-just no flavor

Hands down absolute best restaurant in Elk Grove. The food is great and the portions are more than fair. There are no gimmicks. Ask to be seated in Maggie’s section. She will feed you, you will be happy.

I’ve been deciding whether to come here for 8 years now, so I finally decided too. The place is very dark & old. Nothing pretty or sexy about it. The bread was very fresh. The service was pretty good. The steak was awesome, and the spaghetti was fair too. In all I give this place a 3 stars… Only because they no longer offered many of the specials I saw on Unilocal. If your looking for a good steak and nice people this is the place, but nothing fancy.

Service is extremely slow — ordered and waited 15 – 20 minutes for salad to be delivered to the table. Salad is a few bites and nothing impressive except a big glob of dressing and some iceberg lettuce. Tables near us had to wait for bread 15+ minutes, many after salad was delivered. Parking lot lights not operational so it was poorly lit. Would definitely not return. W Sac is much better.

My fiancé and I went there last night. We’ve actually been a few other times in the last year. The waitress was great and I actually felt bad because she was the only on working and they had just opened at 4pm. She was slammed with sometables already and I felt bad she had to deal with them all by herself. The food was not what I remember it being the last time we were there. The menu have no descriptions of the food. Baked lasagna. That’s it? What meat? What sauce? Is it vegetarian? Literally two words and then all the way across the menu a price. Probably too high of a price too if you ask me. The server Maggie was great and just as we were leaving practically everyone else working showed up. They really couldn’t bring one of them in earlier? Seriously? I work and help run a restaurant and even I could tell she seriously needed help. And I don’t think that was a fluke. I bet it happens often like that. Good luck Maggie. You’re great and I hope you get the help you deserve!

Three stars for Vince’s; this place is barely scraping the 3rd star. I’ve actually been coming to Vince’s for the past 15 years, but the recent change in management must be why the food and service has taken a plummet. Our salad looked like it came out of a ready pak you would see at your local grocery store and a few veggies placed on top; the spaghetti was extremely bland; the seafood dish was over salted; the only enjoyable part was the low drink prices and the bread.

Food: 5* for their Sirloin Steak Dinner for two, $ 37 on 11÷4÷14. It included minestrone soup, salad, spaghetti, bread, wine, and ice cream for two. I liked it better than Chop’s. I think the value makes it really appetizing. I bought a side of meatballs — yum. I’d recommend this place to others. Service: 4* They’re a little rushed, but friendly and hospitable. Atmosphere: 4* not fancy, but it’s comfortable & charming. It’s quiet enough to hold a conversation, but busy enough to observe other interesting folk.

Great value and consistently good food. This is one of the few places that I know of that serves the traditional 3 course meal inclusive with the order of your entrée. With your dinner order(my fave is the baked tortellini with alfredo sauce) you automatically get soup or dinner salad and a scoop of ice cream for dessert(usually 3 options: vanilla, spumoni and a sherbert). My other favorites are the daily specials — they are the same every week and on the menu(steak and pasta, steak and shrimp, etc.). If you two peeps and you both like steak get the steak special for 2(comes with a glass if wine or soda, soup and salad) — you can also order it as steak for one. Friendly wait staff. When busy food can be a little slow but worth the wait. They take reservations, which I would suggest for weekend eves or lor larger groups. The longest I have waited with no reservation is 20 mins for a group of 4. You can also grab a seat at the bar counter or three bar tables and get full menu service. The bar side sellss lotto tix and has a large screen with sports on. They also have a large room in the back that is great for parties/large groups(I think it could hold 60 comfortably — prob more), plus they have a stage and sometimes they have live music nites.

I have to say I wasn’t impressed. I was there for a wedding reception. The food was okay and the drink prices reasonable but the atmosphere is a little too Lodge/Social club. The food service was so fast it made us feel rushed. If there had been fewer people and more servers it may have been a better experience. The building could use a face lift to bring it into the 21st century. The paneling is what gives it that Lodge feel and the bartenders seemed confused about pricing and overwhelmed by a crowd. Not good for a place that hosts big parties and events. The bread was very good I just wish they had brought us more.

Vince’s has been a long time favorite of mine! I started visiting Vince’s on Harbor Boulevard as a friend recommended it as having a great steak at a great price. They were RIGHT! Vince’s has a great steak, pasta, soup, salad, and ice cream all usually part of the meal and all very good. When Vince’s opened up on Folsom Boulevard, ALLTHEBETTERFORME! Close to my house, we were even getting to go orders and eating these great meals at home. Sadly the Folsom Boulevard store closed… But wait there’s more! After closing on Folsom Boulevard they opened on Elk Grove Florin so now whenever I am in the area, at least twice a month, I eat at Vince’s. Going to Vince’s? Better check their hours it is not one of those 24⁄7 places, they are in fact only open a few hours a day and they close early. When they are open, go hungry and you will leave full AND you will be glad you visited Vince’s. I have pretty much always ordered the steak, they have a great steak with their 2 dinners for $ 40.00 deal. Always cooked exactly the way you order it, never too busy making too many meals for too may people to make your meal the way you want it. Few drawbacks here, nothing fancy, not the cleanest place in town but definitely one of the, if not the best meal for the price you will find in the area.
