Working in the Elk River area, I find myself frequently visiting Leeann Chin during lunch breaks or just for a quick bite to eat before shopping or seeing a movie. The line can get long, but the employees seem to work quick enough where it’s not a huge issue. The food is fairly decent, when taken into account that it is Americanized Asian food. There have been times when the food didn’t seem to have been made recently, and I find that there are occasional instances when my chicken was a little chewy or left me with slight heartburn. Otherwise, it usually tastes pretty good. The employees are usually pleasant to talk to, and I have been given freebies on occasions just because the person working the line felt generous. I haven’t had a single employee that I felt didn’t want to help me or was crabby. They do push gift card sales pretty hard, but you do get bonus money depending on how large of a card you get. Signing up for text notifications also saves a lot of money, such as «buy one combo, get one free.» Overall, I eat here a lot, despite the prices being a little spendy. It’s popular with my family, especially my stepmom. I would recommend this to people looking for a fast and good tasting meal.

Leeann Chin, the quintessential Chinese American restaurant. I came here for dinner because we were on a road trip and my buddy loves this place. I knew that this was not going to go over well but what the heck, I’m not picky. For 6.95, you get a combo meal that comes with rice and two half entrees. I ordered the seasame chicken and the mongolian chicken. Both were acceptable but not great. The cream cheese puffs were also not fried long enough but hell, fried cheese is always good. I think the portions are pretty damn skimpy for what you’re paying for and you’d honestly get more food from your local Chinese restaurant. The other thing that skeeved me out was the fact that we came in right after a normal dinner rush and lots of stuff looked like it had been sitting there for hours. They either cooked the hell out of those vegetables or they really had been sitting there for hours. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, this obviously isn’t the place. Chances are if you’re eating here, you wouldn’t even know what real Chinese food is anyways. So enjoy!
