The Salt Sanctuary of Maryland

My wife and I found a Groupon for the salt room and boy was it amazing! The Salt Sanctuary isn’t a big place so you really feel that you get that on-​on-​one attention even if you’re part of the small group going into the salt room itself. The salt room was extremely relaxing! The zero-​gravity chairs were super comfy and the blankets were clean and cozy. All the chairs face the salt walls so you quickly forget you’re not alone. The alpha wave music was super relaxing and really takes your mind to a more colorful and quieter state. In less than 15 minutes I was seeing hues of purple dance across the wall and even being a beginner at meditation, managed 15 seconds of a thoughtless state!
Even after the session ended there was a feeling of relief and contentment. As a student, stress-​relief was my number one reason for coming. More so, two days later my sinuses and allergies even calmed down! I don’t have any more annoying cough or nasal drip!
After our session we were able to talk with Ellen the owner and she was so informative! Her personality is welcoming and warm.
Overall, amazing atmosphere, amazing owner, great unique services, and you simply can’t beat the prices! If you’re up for trying something new you’ve got to check out Salt Sanctuary!

Our 2^nd visit today and just so amazing relaxing and refreshing. Nice that it is run by health care professionals vs someone who thinks this looks cool, I will open one. The owners know the science behind the process and how best to serve you. I have chronic illness and pain and it helps with both. My husband just has seasonal allergies, it help his allergies and makes him relax in this fast paced life in the DC area.
The owners are the staff and they are so kind, patient and knowledgeable :)
Make sure you follow their directions as google maps and gps will get you lost. Once you go the first time and find it, you will be so happy with the location and how quickly you can get on and off Rt 100.

So thankful a salt room opened up close to me. Just 45 minutes and I breathe so much better. Better than taking a pill. You come out if there breathing and relaxed. Just like a day spent at the ocean
