When I bought my house, I got a one-time termite inspection through Annihilators Inc of MD located in Ellicott City. Since then, they have sent me official looking invoices that say, «termite warranty renewal due: $ 130; call us for inspection appt.» The misleading invoice makes it appear that I signed more than a one-time contract (which I didn’t). Plus, it puts the onus on the consumer to call for the inspection. So, if the consumer doesn’t call, do they ensure an inspection is done?
