It’s a higher class SUBWAY conveniently located within the food court of Queens Center Mall, where you choose your sub but they cook and grill it in front of you. I got the limited time 3 cheese chicken sub with red pepper sauce. It was AMA-ZING, I got the combo that came with their freshly made strawberry lemonade which was very sweet but good at the same time and fries. So why the three stars if everything is amazing. The reason for the three stars was the service, they had a lady kindly giving samples in front of Charley’s and that’s how they got me to purchase the sub. Once I got to the cashier I asked him which one would he go for, the chicken ranch or the limited time 3 cheese chicken. He answered oh they both good, not explaining the difference between the subs which is core to know if you get asked these type of questions all day long. I decided on the 3 cheese sub because I didn’t want to lose the opportunity to not have it if I ever come back again. As I waited the next person in line shouted all the sauces and I couldn’t really understand her, it wasn’t that busy. There was just one other person behind me, no reason to fast speak and shout. My sandwich says it comes with red pepper sauce so that’s how I want it if I wanted ranch, ketchup or mayo I would’ve told the cashier. Bad set-up, bad strategy and lack of communication between her and the cashier. Great sandwich and drink, but if Charley’s wants people to keep coming back they need to have better customer service and better communication between the staff.

The line was long. Service was slow. One cashier. Two on grill. However, food quality was good, but my order was wrong. I asked for no peppers and mushrooms yet they were in my sandwich. Not too salty. Bread has good chew.

I can’t tell this philly cheese steak is better than the one I ate before, but at least I love it!

It’s no cheesesteak from Philly but it’s close enough for what it is. You have a choice of three hoagie sizes, small, regular, and large. I personally think the cheesesteaks should all be served in one normal size. They didn’t even have onions or cheese wiz on their cheesesteaks. I ordered their BBQ philly with cheddar. They gave a reasonable portion of meat but they were a bit stingy with the cheddar. The hoagie wasn’t toasty either. Verdict — For the amount they charge for a regular size Philly, I’d rather have a real cheesesteak from Pat’s or Jim’s. Nothing beats a cheesesteak from Philly. Charley’s subs are okay but they really need add onions and cheese wiz to their menu. It’s not a bad tasting sub by any means, there’s just a lack of original flavors.

Decent food, bad service. They are not nice and probably don’t like their job but a small smile or a nice attitude goes a long way. The food itself is not expensive and taste like any other charley’s.

Service is terrible. A lemonade costs $ 3, and Be aware of fries. $ 2.99 for just a small cup of fries. A regular size of chicken sandwich, $ 6.99, tastes like a couple of days leftover. If you hate someone, ask him/her to try it.

I couldn’t give this place 5 stars because I only ordered 2 items but they were really good. I had the bacon and cheese fries and it was yummy. The 2nd item was the strawberry lemonade which was really good as well. It had real chopped strawberries in it and it came up to $ 7.71 and it seems pricey for such a small meal but it made me really full ironically. The cheese was perfect, the taste, temperature and texture was on point. I definitely recommend this place. Next time I go to the mall I plan to buy a sandwich. They make it fresh in front of you and they are very clean and everyone was nice and pleasant there.

You’re only here because you’ve been shopping and need to refuel. It gets the job done and is one of the better food court options. I usually get the philly cheese steak with jalapeños, bacon cheese fries and lemonade. They’re a tad more expensive but everything is made to order so you can’t really complain.

Like most food places, the prices have increased while the food portion decreased. Cons: –Philly Cheese stake — It used to be really good, but the quality has definitely decline over the years –Fast, they are efficient in taking your orders and making the food Cons: –Don’t get the fries — unfortunately it’s not that good anymore; taste like cardboard –Pricey — I use to recommend this over Subways but now I have to say it’s the other way around because of price and quality of food.

As Charley’s subs are on the small side, you might need to eat a trio of these things to start feeling a dent in your stomach. For the burly dudes looking to catch a satisfying meal, you might as well go to the supermarket and pick up a Hungry Man dinner to nuke at home. For the price you pay here, you won’t be getting much. Opt for going to Subway’s nearby, which also offers Philly cheesesteaks. You’ll get double for your money, if you order the footlong there. The bread is freshly baked, and you have the option of adding on a side of hot soup, small bag potato chips, or a cookie, to go with your meal. The fries at Charley’s are nothing special, so unless you are ordering a combo, you’re better off getting the ones from McDonald’s Dollar Menu, which is exactly where I went, because I was still hungry afterwards, and they are located in the same food court. Skip Charley’s, unless you don’t mind measly portions, and doing two consecutive lunches.

I like their french fries, it’s lot tastier than other regular fast food fries. I would say, if you are in a mood for a particular fries then this the place. Their sandwiches are regular just like the other fast foods. I would mostly go back to them for fries.

After some post Christmas shopping a friend and I just wanted a good olé bad for you sub. My friend got the BBQ Steak Cheddar Sub. the sub made it to my car and was devoured before we left the parking lot. I got the reg Steak & Cheese w/lettuce, lil mayo, ketchup, &pickles. I know, weird but usually oh so tasty. I was disappointed in the steak it self. it was steak-umms. I could’ve made that at home. I now know that this place won’t give me the steak & cheese subs I’m use to getting from other places that shall remain in my number 1&2 brackets.

I’ve eaten here numerous times when I worked on the mall and almost every single time I got the cheesesteak and fries special. Their prices are too outrageous to warrant spending $ 11 on a footlong sub fries and a drink. The fires aren’t very good and the sandwich is decent.

I came here a couple of times, and I love it. Everytime I come her, they give me very good service and the food always comes fresh:) I get the ultimate club and it is so good. The fries are hot and delicious, and I’m always full after eating here. I def. recommend this place:) The only this I dont like is the seating area. Since this is a food court, it’s harder to get seats. But besides that, this place is good: D

Since it’s 4th of July weekend and I declined on a BBQ, I had to eat something nasty to compensate. Might as well lurk around the mall food court because it doesn’t get nastier than that~! (exception 1: Nathan’s) (exception 2: Sbarro, but only if you’re paying! haha) I chose Charley’s because of the coupon i got the other day: «PRESENTTHISCOUPONFOR A FREEFRY&DRINK w/purchase of any sub…» Sounds like a deal, right!!! Not really… They did not honor my coupon. Usually something like this would make me: 1) leave the establishment to eat somewhere else 2) bark at them for having a pathetic franchise…*WOOF~!!!* But it is a holiday weekend after all and i decided to just get the value meal of a steak sandwich with fries for $ 5.65(tax included):
Price analysis: Since I did not use my coupon, I paid about $ 1 more and didn’t get my diet soda. Food analysis: 1) soggy sandwich 2) lettuce in the sandwich was kinda gross. It got steamed while inside and lost any remaining crisp shredded lettuce had to begin with. 3) messy/drippy sandwich: must be from all the oil and mayo 4) very little meat 5) fries were below average. But it was OK because as a Chinese proverb once said: Some fried food… better than no fried food… you fat a**~!!! bwahahhaha Summary: I hate fast food and I rank McDonald’s one star because of the«perfect» pre-made crap they have waiting for us. So i can appreciate a place like Charley’s that makes a sandwich AFTER you’ve ordered it. True the sandwich is not anywhere close to a true Philly Cheese steak in terms of quality or size. But i think what works here is the value of a hot lunch with fries for only $ 5.65. I would rate this place a low 3 stars. But I’m going to drop it down to 2 for screwing me on their own corporate coupon. Until next time, my fellow Unilocalers… I have to find something to drink as I was a**ed out of one at Charley’s…

I came here last weekend and I got the chicken sub combo with a drink and fries. The chicken was not too dry or too saucy. I love the taste of it. The fries were super hot and tasty… and I like the lemonade. But I wish they can add a little bit more lettuce, tomatoes, and meat. It’s true that the bread is bigger than the meat.

I only come here for two items, the chicken bacon sub and the cheese fries. Nothing else. I love the bread used here. It’s warm and soft. The combo taste of the bacon and chicken is to die for. I just feel pure joy bite after bite. The cheese fries are a welcome addition to the meal although a bit on the salty side. The portions are just right and the pleasantness of the staff tops the whole experience. The food is so good that family members visiting from PR asked to stop here before leaving. They actually smuggled the food aboard their flight. Lol! Long live Charley’s.

LOVE their chicken california sub. Fries are okay, could be better. It’s usually chaotic ordering because there is usually a crowd and the cooks make numerous sandwhiches simultaneously so it can get confusing as to which customer they are talking to. In my opinion, it is absolutely worth the hassle.

Ick! Bad cheese steak, and bad fries. When I have to endure a meal like this, it feels like a punishment L There’s not enough beef in the sandwich, or too much breading, either way it’s a hot disappointing mess. They could have saved this hot mess with some beef dipping sauce(to counteract the excess breading), no such luck. You’re disappointed from beginning to end with this transaction. The Fries. You taste more starch in the fries than potato. Not Good. The instant you chomp on these fries, you realize that there is something terribly wrong with this. It’s not difficult to make average fries. These didn’t make the grade.
