Walked in the other night to use their atm, and there was an out of order sign on it. So I kindly ask a guy behind the counter wearing a sweater vest, presumably a manager, if they do cash back. He didn’t even look my way and answered «yea» in a tone as if it physically pained him to respond to me.
So I get a snack and the woman ringing me up at the register was equally unpleasant. I said thank you and she really looked at me with contempt before yelling NEXT at the customer behind me. Seriously? Not expecting 5 star service, but I definitely didn’t feel welcome at this location.

Quiet location that has all of your necessities. This Duane Reade is on the smaller side. It contains two floors. The first floor houses the snacks and electronic devices.
There’s a staircase that leads customers to the second floor. On this floor there’s toiletry items, makeup essentials, and your pharmaceutical needs.
The makeup area is awfully odd in regards to how it’s set up. I believe the space they have here could’ve been constructed in a more customer friendly way.

I never go into this store for any reason, other than to buy makeup. Basically every time I go to the cosmetic aisle, the merchandise looks like it’s been sitting there for months. Most of the makeup has completely turned into oil and it is so hard to find a foundation that isn’t old. Even the best foundations at this store are terrible because the staff doesn’t take care of them.

I’ve never really had a problem at this Duane Reade until recently. The pharmacist there is just extremely slow and looks like he does not want to be there. Actually the whole staff now is kinda slow and uninterested. This location used to be much better, kinda sad that it’s so terrible now.

I might have to file a complaint with main Duane Reade office or something. I came here to buy a gift card and some chocolate and service was slow as hell but now it turns out maybe the Macy’s 25 dollar giftcard was not properly activated because now it is supposedly not working.
I was like what the hell I bought it at the store, how could there not be money on it. The two people behind the desk were very ingulfed in some conversation talking some bullshit so maybe they really did not scan it properly. Now that I find out, I am very unhappy. I agree with Marlo G. 1-​star for these people.

A woman walks into a DR at 6 pm on a Tuesday evening to return something – no line, 3 people behind the counter… not one person to help her. A manager is called and the woman waits at least 3 minutes for someone who appears to be a manager surfaces… and she has to flag him down.
And that sums it up!
