This place has soooo much potential. The concept is really dope. Let’s start with valet… 20 $ fine I arrive and leave in front of the door never a problem for me but the guy handling the valet looks suspect and jumps out of a mini van parked in a gas station that should have told me something off the rip… He parked my car ONTHESTREET. And forgot where he put it hence my wait was 20 minutes for my car. While waiting for my car 3 girls are tossed out the club no shoes, no bags… Just pure ratchetness… they were fighting inside the club to my surprise the loudest female advised security she was on the job and needs her id.(SB: Smh school safety agents always like to act like they are police officers). The two Iraqi trained militia(white guys) security said they wanted to help them and would go get their bags. This is not the atmosphere or ambience I am accustomed to. Security took my TD bank pens and tossed them out all 5 of them and said they can be used as weapon smh. The female security that looks like a man was a hype beast to search and feel me up I asked for the other girl who was less aggressive. I definitely will never visit this place again they should be more selective with their clientele. The bathroom was nasty and had tissue all over the floor. The bottle girls were cute but their outfits very unexpected in a place like this and our personal bottle girl was not attentive at all… She brought the bottles out and we never seen her again. Great idea but need to be selective about the clientele to have a better experience. you pay 700 $ for a section and hookah and 2 bottles and never see the server again… smh. The DJ was suspect and kept playing the same songs over and on the dopest songs he would end the song at everyone’s favorite part.

The doormen are very unprofessional, it was a latin night on a Friday night and of course ladies are free. My friends and I are all lesbian women and of course the doormen singled out the masculine ones in the group. He said«you look like a dude, your getting charged like one» and the other one chimed in «no heels, no free entry» we left to another lounge/bar that didn’t care about that. They are not the only bar in Queens honestly…

I haven’t been here in over a year, and my group and I were supposed to come here the night of the blizzard. But Mother Nature said no. So we rescheduled for the following Saturday, January 30th. We should’ve known better when we saw that there were conflicting hours on Unilocal, their own website, and Google. We called around 6 pm and no one picked up. We figured that since one of the websites said they opened at 9 pm, we should show up around then; so we did. Long story short, when we arrived, a big bouncer rudely told us to wait outside because the place wasn’t open yet. After we asked politely when the place opened and to speak to a person in charge, a older woman told us to come in. We were promptly asked to check our coats for $ 3(but she waived them for us). Waiting to get shoes for bowling took a little while and the woman didn’t take our shoes. Then when we got to our alley on the far right, we noticed a bowling ball stuck in the gutter. What? We called for someone to come fix it and after 20 minutes, we gave up and just started playing. Then the bar that comes down to clear the pins on our lane kept getting stuck(which had to get fixed twice during the two hours we were there). Before we started, we were told that we had to leave before 11 pm because there was a party that reserved the bowling alleys for that time. They never showed and we never got kicked out. In total, the games cost $ 9 for the first game and $ 6 thereafter. Oh, and after about 30 – 45 minutes, they turned up the music so loud in the room that I couldn’t even hear myself think. In between our games, we ordered some food, as we were starving. The food service was quick and the waiters were swift, even though a waitress told us we had to pick up our food at the bar counter, the waiters brought it to us anyway. After about an hour, more people started to show up. The food was overpriced for the amount, but the food tasted ok.(Anything tastes good when you’re hungry, right?) We got four of the 4play plates, which were $ 16 each. By the way, the area that is now a dance floor/lounge area used to have pool tables. The lighting there was dark and stroby and apparently there’s hookah now?(We could kind of smell the smoke inside the bowling room.) There is also apparently a ping pong room, but we had had enough for the night. Am I going to come back? Probably not. The conflicting times, rude and unhappy bouncer, lack of communication between staff, mandatory coat check, weird bowling and pricey mediocre food is not enough for me to come back. It’s a shame, because the area could really use some fun affordable gathering places.

Went there on a Friday night… horrible experience. To begin with, there was a mandatory coat check upon arrival, no big deal $ 3 Then once you get past the mandatory coat check, there is a $ 20 mandatory door charge(cash only) Then once you get in, here is the kicker, you find out that the entire place is CASHONLY and there is no ATM in the place. Cheapest drink is $ 11. The entire place is one big cash racket. I used to go to the place about 7 – 8 years ago, and it was totally different, There was no cover charge at the door and the place was definitely not cash only. I do always remember the drinks being expensive, so don’t get me wrong, but I am not in favor of a place making you pay to check your coat, charging you at the door and then BANG, surprising you with telling you, «oh, by the way, after we made you pay $ 23 pp, now you have to walk back outside, get your jacket(because btw, it was 18 degrees outside the night I went), walk down the street to the nearest bank, which was like a mile away and go take like $ 160 out of the ATM. Screw this place, wouldn’t ever go back again.

It’s not the place the reviews say it is anymore. Maybe over time this place has turned worse and worse. It def has potential to be a fun spot but now it is simply a no. First off when I went the crowd was suspect but we still waited in line and got felt up by security to go inside. That should have been my flag there not to go in. Coming inside there is bowling on the right and on the left is the reception table to order a pool table. Directly in front a very pretty bar. Also, there is NOMECHANICALBULL. That bull must have been removed a long time ago bc there was no bull when I went. The pool tables are ok. Not the best but it is what it is. The bathrooms are a sloppy mess and food is meh. I wouldn’t go back unless I heard that it’s changed. This place def has so much potential but you can tell it has been falling apart and management/owners probably don’t care.

Had my boyfriends birthday party here last weekend and the place is nice looking. We purchased a VIP package in the glass room from Anthony for 13 people. The room is kind of long and narrow with not much seating, not really meant for 15 people in my opinion, maybe more like 10. We had a dedicated bartender which was cool and had a private lane for bowling. The food was decent bar food except that one of the items on the menu which I selected was suddenly not available and they didn’t accommodate my request for a dinner menu item to compensate, therefore, food was decent but not great. One thing that was a little shocking was the attire of the service staff(all women) wearing the equivalent of a thong one piece swimsuit with«the girls» half out. Normally, it wouldn’t be a big deal to me, however, had my boyfriends parents decided to show up(which was a possibility) we would have to endure total awkwardness! These are details that are important to mention when booking an event.

I was there in a group party and we had the whole place for us for 4 hours from 5pm to 9pm. It was fun there with different games you can play, drinks were half price and music was good. Parking can be challenging depends what time your go. The only thing the food could be better. I recommend this place if you go in a group party.

The bartenders were nice n the drinks were good but other then that na, we went to pool n celebrate my birthday n the ppl there told us that only 2 pools tables were open. She put us on the list n said she would call wen one was available. They made my friends pay 20 to get in wen we got in free n they got there b412 and they shut down the pool tables and didn’t even let us know that they did and we’ve been waiting for over a hr. And one of the girls gave us attitude. Def won’t b back.

This place is not really worth it! First off, regardless if you are there online before 12, if they let you in after 12 you have to pay.((Scam)) second the music is terrible. The djs sets were unamusing. Probably won’t come back!

Throughout the years I’ve attended many parties here. Over the course of time I’ve seen Play Lounge go from a mediocre lounge with bomb music and inexpensive drinks to renovations, so-so music, and highly expensive drinks. Bruh, you’re not the city! What makes you think you can overcharge people with underwhelming food, drinks and on top of that a boring time. You truly have to do better than that. I remember when Play was the spot to be at Thurs — Sat night. This was the place to come to when you didn’t want to trek it all the way to the city. Now the city doesn’t seem so bad. Food is meh. Music is good depending on what day you go. Drinks have been watered down too many times for me to even comment.

Went here on Friday, 9⁄25. I hadn’t been here in years, but I remembered it being AWESOMESAUCE. Got there early, so there was no cover. We went in and asked for a pool table whichwas $ 15/hour. We got table #4. Went to thw tables, we saw #5 and #1, but the other tables were unmarked. We guessed. All of the tables looked awful, like the felt was torn off. I’m no expert player and just came for fun, so I figured, «what the hell». I racked the balls, removed the rack and the balls rolled to the other end of the table. Not just«off balance», but like a ramp. We tried another table. The felt was so awful that the balls wouldn’t move at all. So, we took the balls back and figured we would just«lounge». The good thing is that a person who appeared to be a mgr acknowledged that the tables were jacked up and didn’t charge me. The bad thing is: why let me sample awful tables in the first place??? So, we go to the other side to get food. We are seated on some uncomfortable couch. Whatever. We get chicken fingers, fries, I ask for boneless wings, but get bone –in(not the end of the world), 2 vodka cranberries and 2 coronas. Each food item was less than $ 10… So tell me why my bill was $ 82??? The waitress told me the drink prices –you can do the math. Bottom line: NEVERAGAIN!!! This place used to be awesome, but it will be a cold day in hell before I pay over $ 50 for 4 drink-2 of which wee fucking Coronas!!!

Why only 3 stars? This place is so cool. We came on a Saturday night at 9:50pm. Admission was free. Security checked ID and bag which is fine, more safe. Bar is clean, lots of drinks. They can hang around inn the bar or take your drink else where to hang around . Pool table was empty. $ 15 per hour, you can pick any table. Lounge is spacy, empty and neat. Very modern and open. Air was very fresh. You can dance in the middle floor or chill. Music was pop and reggaes. Loud and strong in base. No one will rush you, you can just sit and chill. This place gets little Crowed after 12pm. Good for groups or couples.

Ratchet as hell, but we had a ball! DJ played a lot of old school hip hop and reggae and it was a rainy night so it wasn’t so crowded but we were initially going to shoot pool. I’m mad they let me in with cutoff jeans, a wife beater and rain boots but I was so comfy I whined the night away on my babe! Will return, but wouldn’t take it as a serious nightclub.

You have to check your coat $ 3.00 and its $ 10.00 to enter. The food is so so, the best part was the hookah $ 30 and to refill it $ 10. Wine is $ 8.00 and up. LI ice tea $ 15. The crowd is mixed. There’s parking out front and around the corner. There is a TD Bank at the corner. The dress code is strict for men! No cargo pants and sweat shirts or sweat pants. The dress code for women was IFY, i thought i was over dressed. I could’ve left my 5 inch pumps at home. The girls looked like it was a Bad Girls club reunion. Table service requires you to buy bottles. They have bottles and hookah packages. 1 bottle of tequila 1 champagne and 1 hookah is $ 275 and the prices go up. The music is pretty good, a bit loud but ok. A lot of 20 – 25 year old men and women. If you’re looking for a mature crowd bring your own sand to the beach.

Came here with my booski for a night out. When I first got there is was kinda empty and the bartenders took like 5 mins to get my drink order. Good music and decent crowd. At the end up the night I reviewed my bill and I was over charged for a round I ordered but never got. They supposedly fix the problem on hand. The next few days I monitored my account to see that they never removed the charge. I called up my bank and got the overage removed. Bartender was high on something.

I received a flyer in the mail as well for a FREE Birthday Party that included a bottle of SKY, free admission before midnight, free cupcakes & free open bar! At first I thought it was one of those too good to be true scams, but I was curious about it so I called the lounge to clarify all the specifics. Also please note: I work in the nightlife industry as a shot girl & cocktail server/bottle service girl so I have plenty of experience with service in bars in general & how it should be done. I love getting opportunities like this to get a chance to be a «secret shopper/reviewer»! I was told that I only had to pay $ 45 Gratuity to the assigned waitress so I gladly reserved the party for the 10th(the past Saturday night), since my twin sister and I’s birthday was the 3rd of this month and we wanted a second birthday party for friends who couldn’t make the first. I have to give kudos to the hostess that confirmed my reservation. I updated my guest list a few times, including the night before my party & she was lenient about that & my questions about the Dress code. Could sound intimidating to most but I understood her empire state of mind. The night of the party was pretty okay. My twin, friend and I arrived early, the bouncers were cordial– not super friendly but not mean. We checked our coats(coat check was mandatory but only $ 3, plus who wants to look out for their winter jackets on the chairs/tables), however the coat check girl was extremely rude, impatient & snappy. It’s winter time, give people, especially ladies a moment/second to get their bags together after taking their coat off! Then we proceeded to the reception desk to get our table. The hostesses at the reception desk were wishy washy. Kind of nice then at other times not as attentive. We only waited a minute or two for our waitress, she was nice especially for waiting a few minutes while we got our cash together(we had to pay the gratuity upfront) & waiting for the rest of our party to arrive to bring out the bottle/cupcakes when we wanted it. We danced a bit while we waited for more people and noticed while we were trying to get a hold of our waitress through the other waitresses, that the other girls were really rude & snappy(just from us asking about wifi), I guess since they didn’t have a party to tend to & missed out on the big tip smh. Then we got our free drinks before the free open bar was over. On the fence with the bartenders– some are good, nice & make drinks strong enough and others were too rushed & made mostly juice. The DJ wasn’t the best but was decent. My friends and I are the type to dance no matter what to make the most of an experience anyway lol. Pricing is that of a typical Manhattan bar, but one of the bars in Manhattan that I work at has slightly cheaper drinks so I suggest they lower the prices a little bit at least for a place in Queens. I would like to set up another party for a different occasion someday soon, to see if there will be a difference in general, though I’m satisfied with the waitress we had especially since we had a free party & she still was respectful towards us like regular customers. My guests were also able to get in with no problem(despite some of them being added to the list last minute), though everyone has to wait in line, wasn’t that long though. Play Lounge has extremely great potential to be a 5 star lounge in Queens(very rare)! With some adjustments to the customer service skills in the ladies that work there(more smiles– maybe people will find some of them more attractive, basic etiquette training, even crowd hyping/dancing I suggest), better bartending & more reasonable pricing the workers will be sure to get better tips(trust me just a smile has taken me far with selling jello shots!) and the venue will generate more revenue! Again, come on girls, beautiful women with a good attitude will sell sell sell! I would love to assist in this if given the opportunity!

We came here on a Sunday and it was empty. Prices are a little high. If you buy a drink then you get a discounted price on the games. The problem is that the drinks are way too expensive. We ended buying a few drinks, then bowled and played ping pong for a little bit. It’s a cool place but I think prices are too high not only for their drinks, but also for the food.
