What a wonderful place in the center of downtown Elmhurst. My wife and I enjoyed the live music while having a bottle of wine paired with cheese and it couldn’t be better. The atmosphere was lively and the staff was very friendly and personal. The owners, a local couple, took the time to stop by our table even though they had a full house of patrons. We will definitely go back.

I stopped in the other day to check it out and buy a bottle of wine as a gift. While I was there I sat down and had a beer since I had some time. The person serving me was a nice guy. I think he was the owner? Either way ton of wine to choose from a great beer selection considering it’s a wine bar. I will be back!

My boyfriend and I went here on trivia night (Tuesday) and we had a fabulous time! The atmosphere is urban, yet comfortable and the alcohol selections are superb. My new favorite place!

Super cute wine bar in downtown Elmhurst. We had dinner plans with friends over the weekend and agreed to meet there first. Great selection of beers if you don’t like wine, Seating is varied — very nice. There is also snacks available and you can buy wine for later. It’s a husband & wife owned business. Will go back the next time we are out there!

Cute little wine bar to have right after dinner! This place is so cute and quaint! They have walls of wines and beers. It’s quiet so you can actually have a conversation with people and a great place to go to relax and have a glass or 2. The staff are super nice and were great about telling us certain wines that might fit our taste buds.
My only «complaint» is I wish they had flights you can try and there are only 2 types of desserts served. Wish they had more of a selection of desserts. I had their lava cake and wasn’t super impressed with it. It was more like a brownie than a lava cake. Overall it’s a great place to kick back and enjoy company. I would come back.

Great venue! Live music and trivia occasionally and a great place to hang out and drink wine with friends or a date!

Great little wine boutique with friendly staff and fantastic wines at great prices. I was a little shocked to find that they didn’t have pre-​set flights but I was happy to find out that you can create your own flight with their very generous 3oz pours. The don’t offer a full menu but they have some great cheese plates and light bites that complement the wine really well. Overall just a great little spot with an inviting environment, perfect for date nights and girls nights out too!

This is our go to spot for an after dinner drink. The staff here is very knowledgeable and super friendly, and the people who come here are just as nice. Amy is fantastic — so welcoming and just an overall fun person to be around. The prices are definitely reasonable and they always have some specials going on. Not only do they have a huge selection of wine, but they’ve got good beer and mixed drinks too. If you haven’t stumbled upon this Elmhurst gem, you are missing out!

There just isn’t one negative thing I can say about this place. Great wine, cheese, sides and most importantly the BEST personalized service. This is a kinda place you can enjoy a glass of vino solo and gain a good conversation from the friendliest staff and owner. Don’t forget to ask about Amy’s hair… it’s the most gorgeous shiniest hair I’ve seen on this side of Chicagoland.

The staff is very knowledgeable on wine, very friendly. Everything is very reasonable… A little piece of heaven in downtown Elmhurst. Friday nights, they have great music, and never a cover charge.

Love this place and the staff!!! Fun, friendly knowledgeable women! They always recommend great wines in my price range too! I am a wine club member and love getting my two reds every month from different countries, wines I would not have purchased usually! They do a great job researching their monthly wine club wines and all the great wines for the store. I always meet girlfriends here and we have a great time, either dining on their fabulous cheese plates or bringing in sushi from Sushi nest. they give you cloth napkins and silverware when you bring restaurant food from outside too! Fabulous friendly, neighborhood place with great wines and beer!!!

Wine beer cheese dessert special! What more could you ask! Bartenders have a good sense of humor and are hot!!! My wife gets mad when I come here alone so don’t tell her! Oops! Anyway they are nice and will let u bring in dinner from sushi nest down the street or even dessert from Rocky Mountain choc factory!!! Love the pomelo and any beer!

Not only the best for wine in Elmhurst, but also becoming the place for beer and liquor. Factor in nice small plates and exceptional service then ask… what else do I need? Excellent!

As a craft beer fan, my goal is to always find new beers I haven’t had before. I was able to do that here (not a ton i haven’t had, but a couple) and in a comfortable environment with great service and very reasonable prices. I will be back.

My wife and I stopped in for a glass of wine after a movie at the York Theatre on a Friday night. Its small and doesn’t have a ton of seating but they make the most of it. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised to find a live musician playing and a light menu of cheese pairings for the wine. Service was friendly and not rushed. Very comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

Love this place. I guess Im a little late on the review since Im pretty much always here. Anyway, fantastic service, great wine, great beer selection for a wine shop, and a comfortable atmosphere. what more could one want?

I stopped in here with my mom because there was a sandwich board outside advertising a Saturday special for $ 5 glasses of select wine.
When we inquired at the bar, the lady at the counter said she hadn’t decided which wines to offer for $ 5, then placed three bottles in front of us said to pick any of them. We each had two glasses from the array she placed in front of us. By the time we finished, another lady had taken over and she charged us for the full prices on all glasses. I said I thought some of the wine we had was part of the special, she checked with the original woman who was standing in earshot of us, and then confirmed that none of the wine we ordered was part of the special. Huh?
Okay, I probably should have insisted on the discounted rate, but I got the distinct impression that this lady was judging us for being a cheap, hobo grad student with her wary-​of-​fancy-​things mom. At any given time, these are both true enough observations, so whatever maybe I should wear a sundress and look more like a yuppie when I hang out in the suburb where my grandparents live, but the pretentiousness was a little off-​putting when it was their mistake to begin with.
Anyway, I won’t be returning, but it’s a nice enough place and the wine was fine.

I had bought the $ 15 groupon for a flight of wine and two cheese platters and it was sooo worth it. They let us choose our flights and the choices were:
My flight:
–yangara– aromatic nose of eucalyptus and anise give way to a palate of berry and chocolate. Liked it a lot. Could be a bit stonger for my taste, but was a really great choice
–raspberry wine-​very delicious, sweet wine. Not too overwhelming.
–amore chocolate port-​yum! This was a great finish. It was a good thing I had the flights, but I think it could have been too much if I had gotten a full glass.
Hubbys choices:
–Cambrian– aromas of apples, peaches, lime blossoms and vanilla. Tasted nice and light
–messenger– ripe black fruit aromas blend with comple, layered flavors of caramel, earthiness, and spice. This one was probably my favorite of all of them. Perfect strength and taste.
— 50/50(chocolate port and raspberry wine)-this was half and half of my two sweet wines. It had a nice touch.
Cheeses–
French plate, chubier, comte, and Brie. The brie tasted like the blue cheese and I am not usually a fan of blue cheese, but it was great with the apple slices it came with so it was not overwhelming.
Artisan plate: vella aged, Monterey Jack, rogue smokey blue, and grafton cheddar. Again… I am not a big fan of blue cheese, but this one came with dried cranberries and that made it taste better. The hubby pretty much ate all of it. haha
Overall…this package was a steal with our groupon and didn’t have to pay for anything (besides our tip and we tipped the waitress nicely). Love this place and it’s so close to home!

A good option for Elmhurst… and I am happy that are part of the Elmhurst scene.
While more of a Flight 112 person it is great to have a beer/​wine/​cheese/​music option.
Recently went to Tannins to cash out a Living Social coupon (or was it Groupon???).
Anyway…I had purchased a coupon for 2 flights of wine and assorted chocolates.
Sadly Wifey was out of town and today was the last day to utilize the coupon.
My attempt to trade in the coupon for beers was denied… so 2 flights of wine it was.
I do enjoy the Karmelite there. Love it on tap.
Will try to get here more often.
Now that Wifey is home…
