My fiancée and I stayed here for a weekend so we could go to Knoebels. Usually, we stay at a m/hotel in Bloomsburg, but I wanted to try something closer to the park, so I decided to give MapleRose B&B a try. Thankfully, I was able to book a room on short notice here. The house was 5 minutes from Knoebels. We asked on the phone if it would be okay if we arrived late, as it was a holiday Friday and we were coming from about 3 hours away, and were told it would be no problem. Upon arriving, Frank and Jeanne greeted us at the door and welcomed us in. They were both incredibly warm and friendly, giving us information about other attractions nearby in addition to Knoebels. The house itself was fantastic. It was a quaint old home, with recent renovations to turn it into a B&B. Our room had a great new bathroom with modern floor tiling. The carpet in the room felt fresh and lush under our feet. The TV had dish network which I loved because it had Sirius/XM so we could put music on(at a reasonable volume) in our room. The bed and bedding was very comfortable, as was the temperature in the room because there was central air in the room, as well as a ceiling fan. Breakfast was great: we had a special dietary request for one of us and they accommodated us with no problem, calling the night before to ensure that they would be prepared(vegan: oatmeal, fruit, & toast with jam). The eggs and sausage/bacon was from a local farmers market, and tasted great. I really loved the zucchini bread served the first day, and the cheesecake squares served the second night(none of that was vegan, yet it was incredibly delicious!). MapleRose was also the best rate for a B&B in the area. We plan to stay again! Thank you!
