Staff put out a tray of drinking glasses right out of the dish washer and once the ice and water filled it… it exploded. Staff said they’re sorry but no manger came to assure safety rules are followed. This was very dangerous and could have been a costly risk for ikea.

For the price and options it’s a win all the way around. If you open up an IKEA membership coffee and tea is free. Girls split the pasta with meatballs which comes with a salad or soup for $ 4.99. One chose cornbread the other garlic toast. The cornbread fluffy, the toast tasty and crispy. Salad was fresh; dressings: sesame ginger, Italian, and balsamic. You can find ranch dressing at the condiment area. I chose the vegetarian quinoa chili over brown rice for $ 3. Delicious and healthy! Couldn’t help but share their berry cheesecake to enjoy with my free coffee. Plenty of seats.

Always tastes great! & for the price, you can’t beat that. The restaurant is set up just like a cafeteria. You grab you food then go pay at the end. & when you’re finish you put your dishes away in that designated area. My favorite are the Swedish meatballs and the cornbread! All together the meal would be less than $ 10. But it definitely will fill you up! I find myself coming here even when I don’t need to buy furniture.

I love IKEA restaurants! Everything is affordable, convenient, tasty, and gives you a glimpse of what Swedish cuisine could be like. The only downside to this location is the slow moving line due to having only one side of food instead of two, like at East Palo Alto. The employees work hard with smiles but there are too many customers to serve, especially right after Black Friday at lunchtime. Food! The fam loves salmon in any form– smoked gravad lax: with spring mix, by itself with julienne carrot mix, with a bagel and cream cheese, cold filet with bean salad; hot salmon filet with a vegetable medallion & additional veggies, etc. We also tried the new chicken meatballs– antibiotic free chicken and oh so tasty with mashed potatoes, gravy, and lingonberry sauce. I liked their corn bread! Two squares for 99 cents. Dessert wise, Princess cream cake is my absolute favorite. They defrost it so the cream atop a thin layer of jam and sponge cake is soft, wrapped up in pink marzipan with chocolate drizzle. Chocolate cake, Apple cake with vanilla cream, almond chocolate torte, marzipan coated butter/chocolate candy, fresh fruit bowl, there’s a dessert for all! Little kiddos can choose from smaller portions of meals(5 piece meatballs, pasta, chicken fingers + more) along with side dishes like fries, fresh veggies, chips, and a beverage of choice: fountain soda, juice box, bottled milk. 3 choices for $ 2.49 or was it $ 2.99? Kids eat free on Tuesdays! They also have more adult meals: Cobb salad Vegetable balls BBQ chicken wrap Ribs & fries Penne pasta with marinara sauce Add five meatballs for $ 1! –Try the lingonberry juice drink at the fountain soda area. –Free IKEA family card = free coffee or tea every time you visit. –Breakfast consists of breakfast potatoes, bacon, and scrambled eggs for $ 1! Add French toast sticks for $ 1 more. They also have Swedish crepes with lingonberry sauce. Sometimes the $ 1 breakfast is free during weekends … check out what deals they have before you visit. We were lucky they had the promotion where IKEA family members got their meal price deducted from a home furnishing purchase of $ 100+. If it is one of those weekends, they’ll give you a coupon stating how much you spent at the restaurant after scanning the family card. Bring that coupon and card to the cashier when you pay for home items totaling at least $ 100 and it’ll be deducted! Let’s just say I saved at least $ 50.

By the time you make your way through the show room you will demolish anything in your path… like the food at IKEA. if you’re lucky you won’t run into the looonnnnggg line of people waiting to eat something too. They have a good mixture of food. Personally veggie balls, they are much tastier then the regular meatballs. Sometimes they have baked ziti that is pretty good as well. The roasted cauliflower and sweet potato si really good as well, and makes for a nice compliment to the veggie balls. The garlic toast is also really tasty. They have a revolving door of sweet every time come, and the new almond chocolate crunch cake is really good. Sometime the overload chocolate cake can be a lil too much. I’ve also gotten the chicken strips, and for the adult portion, you get 4 stripes instead of the childs meal which has 2 with fries, which can be a lot sometimes. Their BBQ sauce tastes kinda strange to me… not sure why. Over all the prices are cheap, the meal big and the staff is always friendly.

It used to be really good, like when this location opened. Over the past few years, the prices have doubled, portions have gotten smaller, and when I went, the Ikea juice was out of order(the only reason I ordered a drink). I ordered the Swedish meatballs, barely got a full scoop of mashed potatoes and a tiny bit of fruit chutney. Gravy is too watery and flavorless now. The meatballs are still good and tasty, though.

Love the Swedish meatballs! It’s so good. Maybe I’m biased because I’m Norwegian. But they are really good. Make sure to get 5 extra meatballs for $ 1(10 meatballs is standard). They also have delicious ribs. Corn on the cob that it comes with is so so. Yum yum!

It has been forever since I was last here. The food is amazingly cheap! The majority of meals were $ 4.99. My gf and I got the Swedish meatballs, salmon plate, pasta and salad, chocolate cake, this pink ball of cream cake. Overall, the food was pretty good for 5 bucks on each item. The best was probably the salmon with its smoked flavor and veggie toppings. The Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes were also good. The cranberry that came with it was pumped out of a jar. Kind of like the ketchup dispensers at In-n-Out. The pasta was a little hard for some pieces. It was ok at best.

Eek, what happened to my beloved KÖTTBULLAR? The portion size shrank, they now ask for additional $$$ if you want more than 10, and they’re now called SWEDISHMEATBALLS. Is it because no one expect Nordics can pronounce KÖTTBULLAR? CK – OE – TT-B-UH-LL-A But seriously, go back to bigger portions, proper jam, and tasty gravy. Like it used to be back in the day.

The biggest thing I noticed: the food is cheap. Okay, aside from the cheap food, I thought the food was alright. I came to try the Swedish Meatballs, but ended up being surprised by the selection of food they had and ended up ordering Swedish Meatballs, garlic bread, chocolate cake, and coffee. The Swedish Meatballs come with some berry sauce and mashed potatoes/fries. You also have the option of adding gravy on top of your meatballs. I chose to have the gravy on top and did not like how the berry sauce and gravy ended up touching/mixing. The meatballs themselves were alright. I’m glad I tried them, but they’re not really for me. The garlic bread could have tasted more garlic-y than buttery. The chocolate cake was not as sweet as most American cakes, but still a tad sweeter than Chinese cakes, which I really appreciated. Not much to say about the coffee except that it’s pretty cheap — 76 cents for unlimited refills. The line can get quite long, but the wait is not too bad. It gives you time to look at the menu and decide. The set up reminds me of a cafeteria. The service is also okay. They definitely get the job done and that’s about it. I’d probably come back if I lived close to this IKEA, but I would not go out of my way to get the cheap food.

Wanted a browse through IKEA and wanted lunch so I ended up eating at their cafeteria. It’s setting is pretty typical European and their selection of food was diverse. I got the salmon dish with potato cakes and it was good value. The salmon was a big over cooked but the sauce on it was flavourful and the potato cakes had a good blend of seasoning… The vegs was just booked or steamed or whatever… It didn’t have any flavour at all. With my sweet tooth I needed to get dessert so I got the princess cake and some chocolate cake with nuts and crunch. I didn’t like the princess cake because it was just too sweet and really had no flavour while the other cake was nice because of the texture. Good place to eat if your around the area and it offers several choices for cheap… Can’t expect much more than that!

For my first visit to any IKEA restaurant, I was honestly a little disappointed. My friends always rave about the cheap and delicious food at IKEA, but maybe it was just raving about the price and not the actual quality of the food. I really prioritize freshness, and that’s something that was completely lacking in all of the dishes here. All of the meatballs come from the freezer. As do the vegetables. Mac-and-cheese is not freshly made(has a really uncomfortable grainy texture). The greens in my salad were wilted and looked many days too old. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of the sauces and soups were just heated up from a frozen concentrate either. I mean, if you’re going to have to serve lots of people in a cafeteria-like manner, I guess frozen is the way to go. That being said, the taste for a couple of the dishes weren’t bad. Veggie balls had surprisingly a lot of flavor, especially when dipped into the sweet potato-cauliflower sauce. My little sister enjoyed the regular Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes(but then again, she eats frozen foods all the time). I also really liked the lox, which seemed much fresher than the rest of the dishes(hopefully, it actually is fresher), and actually tasted like sashimi-esque salmon. I would just stray away from the steamed veggies, salad, and the mac and cheese, which all just had very unpleasant tastes. I feel like I just can’t get over the fact that nearly everything we ordered was heated up frozen food. Even if the taste is decent, I just couldn’t get out of my head the fact that the food was completely un-fresh.

The food is not 5 star. But neither are the prices. You’ll get good food for a very fair price. We’ve had dinner there a couple of times and breakfast once, now. We’ve never been disappointed. You do bus your own table, but that’s not much to ask and they make it very easy for you. Coffee is free before 10AM or if your an Ikea family member. The lines go quick, the menu board is easy to understand, the sweets are first in line(as they should be) and the servers are quick and friendly. I’ve never been there when they are packed, going on weekdays only. Breakfast and dinner has been an amazing amount of food for an even more amazing small amount of money. We’ve enjoyed all our dishes, the coffee is really good and the dinning area has plenty of seating. You may end up next to a stranger, but if you’re a Unilocaler, that’s just a chance to talk to someone and get their opinion!

How can you not love IKEA’s food? Everything is pretty cheap and you get a decent amount of food for what you’re paying for. My favorite thing on their menu has to be the meatball combo. You get like 10 meatballs with the berry sauce along with mash potato and gravy. With that, you also get a drink and salad OR soup. And for all of that, you pay about $ 7-$ 8(oops I forgot). How great is that?! I don’t eat that much so that combo really fills me up. Their other food such as fish filets, chicken wraps, are also pretty good and cheap, too. They did raise their price from before, but you’re still getting a decent meal compared to a lot of other places. If you have an IKEA card, you can get discounts on certain meals on certain days, too! Overall, I definitely recommend coming here for food whenever you’re shopping. It’s a pretty satisfying meal for what you’re paying.

Ok, I guess it’s kinda strange to write a review about IKEA food but how else am I gonna express my love for their Swedish meatballs and other delish foods?! + THEFOOD Swedish meatballs, come to mama! Dip them in some of that mashed potatoes and gravy sauce for the full experience. I’m not a huge fan of the lingonberry sauce so I usually skip that. Next up are the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken is juicy and the breading is delish. The fries are the bomb! I love how they’re so crispy and perfect! Hands down one of the best fries I’ve ever had(I know, kinda strange right?) Top off your meal with some of the salad that came with the IKEA meatball family deal and fruit salad and you would’ve finished one amazing meal. + THEENVIRONMENT Plenty of seating around the top floor. You can choose from window seats, from where you can view the busy traffic of the I-80, or plenty of seats by the food so you can order more meatballs(you know you want to). The area is always pretty clean and there are special designated areas for people to drop their trays off after finishing food as well.

Meh. Is it sad that the ice cream & cinnamon roll downstairs were my favorite… FOOD I mean… it’s not BAD, just nothing SUPER tasty in my opinion. MEATBALLS They’re good but not as AMAZING as I had imagined. I liked the gravy that went with it, was pretty flavorful and not too salty which I was initally worried about. The meatballs themselves weren’t as full of flavor as I thought they’d be. They definitely weren’t the BEST meatballs I’ve EVER had but it wasn’t bad. Not a fan of mashed potato so wasn’t really down for that but the berry sauce, I thought I wouldn’t like it but surprisingly it paired well with the meatballs and gravy. Gave it a little bit of sweetness so the pairing of meatball+gravy+berry sauce wasn’t bad, but definitely wasn’t worth a «I’ll come back just for it!». FRIES Room temp… Not sure why but they just weren’t warm. wasn’t a fan of that already. Also I like my fries crispy and most of them were soggy sadly :( SALMON&GRATIN Not a fan of gratin so not even going to talk about that. The salmon though was paired with a lemony thyme cream sauce I believe. Couldn’t taste the lemon but got a hint of that thyme flavor. The sauce paired well with the salmon but boy, that was some low quality fish I’m sure. THe salmon was SOFISHY. I had a bite and I was over it. DOWNSTAIRS I had their frozen yogurt essentially McD soft serve on a cone. It was good, can’t go wrong with it! Creamy, sweet, tasty, cheap :). The cinnamon bun was super good too! It def wasn’t CINNABON worthy but it was pretty close and I think it was only $ 1 or 6 for $ 4 so def worth the price. SERVICE The man serving us the food was nice and gave us a pretty big portion I feel! Pricing was pretty decent but not AS cheap as I thought. OVERALL Not a HUGE recommend but it’s worth a try! Or if you’re already in IKEA, then I guess why not? Just stick with the MEATBALLS and if you’re looking for a snack, the FROYO and CINNAMONROLL is great and super cheap! I just won’t go out of my way to come here to eat though.

How can anyone not like the IKEA restaurant? It’s like saying Costco isn’t just like Disneyland. Their meatballs are always consistently delicious and their sides never fail to please. The menu gives you healthier options but I tend to stick to Swedish meatballs. Coming here after a long hard day makes everything just a little bit better.

Shopping at IKEA on the weekends usually means dealing with the crowds. So what’s a better than grabbing a quick breakfast in the IKEA restaurant, which opens at 9:30am before starting your shopping when the store opens at 10am. You can get two sausage, potatoes, and eggs for $.99. The food is ok, but given the price, it is a good value to get some hot food before shopping. Other breakfast choices are a Swedish-American breakfast with the addition of Swedish pancakes for $ 2.99, Swedish pancakes for $ 2.49 or Swedish waffles for $ 1.99.( )( ) As a cafeteria-style restaurant, you order your food, take your order and pay and find a table in its large dining area. If you’re an IKEA Family card holder, you get complementary coffee too. It’s free to join. If you get hungry after your shopping venture, you can head back for lunch and/or dinner too.
