Best sound in the Bay Area, especially for hip hop. Friendly staff too, not intimidating or stuck up like some engineers can be. Check the SSL console in the main room too… YEEEEEE. On point.

I’ve work at the grill for two decades and they stay at the top of their game with the latest gear and equipment. Their knowledge is always on point and the results and sound quality are top notch. Best Hip Hop studio in the bay. period… If you know the history of the place, then you know what I’m talking about. LOTS of greats have come through. All the gear is
Class A. The studio has an amazing SSL console. The vocal booth is large and doesn’t feel constrained, and the Control Room is incredible. Not to mention the staff, the are very knowledgeable and courteous. Get your next recording on here. You won’t regret it…

Who wouldn’t want to record where the LEGENDARY MAC DRE recorded!?!
ANY hip hop emcee would be stupid NOT to record here. This is THE PREMIER place for hip hop in the bay!

THAT SAID, I love recording my vox at the Grill… they are extremely professional, have state of the art gear, including a fabulous SSL console & excellent pres. There is a unique sound to this studio that I absolutely love. The vocal booth is relaxing and the engineers are professional, knowledgable and really put me at ease before recording. They’ve got reasonable pricing and 2 options for your recording needs.
I recommend this place above all other recording studios in the area.
