Best pain management dr. and so patient! I can’t believe the negative reviews. We had an older lady with extreme jaw and neck pain from an auto accident (her jaw was unstable and would come dislodged)
She was in so much pain and only Dr Eli’s botox treatments and encouraging words could calm her down.
He and his office staff were extremely kind and helpful to a very needy and hopeless older woman. Dr eli would take her phone calls at all times of the day and night. And they would fit her in when she needed it. Dr. Eli would sit and talk to her and try to calm her down if it wasn’t time for more botox.
We were caring for her and were so blessed by Dr. Eli’s patience that went way beyond what he was paid for.

I stand by every single word and cannot believe anyone has the nerve to call this a misrepresentation. My only other regret is not reporting him to the board of dentistry, as was advised.

Patient: «I’ve had a headache for a month»
Dr. Eli: «What happened a month ago, were you raped or something!!!»
That is not the kind of treatment you want from anyone.

Horrible Dr. My husband was referred to him and he was rude and insulting by the comments he made about women and our marriage on the first visit! His office obviously doesn’t know about HIPAA laws because upon walking in I can see every patients name that had come in before us to see him. When the visit began he wanted to jump right and start giving steroid injections, well 1^st off my husband is extremely scared of needles and 2 he should get a CAT Scan to see the problem first than taking a wild guess. Which turns out he was WRONG!
My husband needed surgery to fix the problem so giving steroid injections wouldn’t have fixed anything and could have irritated the area more.
I would never go back to see this oral surgeon nor will I ever refer anyone to him. Its up to you if you go that would be based off your own experience. We did not have a good experience.

I’ve seen Dr. Eli twice in the past year and have been completely blown away by his personal attention to my jaw pain. The office has a casual flair with just enough professional touch to promote a calm and friendly environment. While he may run over the «15-​minute» time most doctors allot a patient, it’s completely worth it when it’s your turn. I’ve seen many doctors and tried various treatments since the mid-​1970s and NO ONE has hit the mark like Dr Eli. Thank you for the pain relief!

I have been to Dr. Eli several times, and I can honestly say this is the most pain free I have been in YEARS! He takes his time with his patients, listened to all my concerns, and was able to figure out what was wrong with me when my original doctor could not. So far I am very pleased with my treatment plan.

DR Eli is the best doctor I have ever seen in my life back in 2007 I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuraliga by two neurologists. I was having excruciating sharp pain in my right jaw so base on my neurologist diagnosed I was taking gabapentin and literally I was disabled for more than 6 months cause the side effect of that couldn’t move and had a
Excruciating pain in my legs and I was living like vegetables for while then I decided to have a surgery and even schedule time of surgery and one day my wife on way home saw doctor Eli sign it was written facial pain and she talked me in to that to visit this doctor, I was so pissed off but finally agreed to see him.
For DR Eli it took three minutes to diagnose my illness and prove that I was misdiagnosed. Basically he told me that two deep filling teeth that I had caused this pain and I need to take care of that with an endodontist.
As simple as that!!! Since then I have never ever had that excruciating pain and I am so thankful and grateful for Dr Eli, he gave me a new life and I always remember that literally he saved me life.

I was referred to Dr Eli several years ago by my endodontist for neuropathic pain in my front teeth, and have been a patient ever since. Dr Eli immediately understood several diagnostic and pain elements about my case that had alluded other doctors, and he has always been very professional and supportive. I trust his expertise in my treatment, and appreciate his efforts to communicate with my other doctors. I also appreciated when he sent me (without any request from me) to see experts at UCLA for a second opinion. His staff is always friendly and caring; and seem to genuinely enjoy being there. I highly recommend Dr Eli.

This is Mrs. Wisdom. i went to see Dr. Eli for my jaw pain. I have been having pain for months and i finally got the answer to what it is! I am so very happy to have Dr. Eli for a pain specialist, and he comes very highly recommended from other folks I have talked to as well. Thank you so much Dr. Eli for being here for us that have pain.

The doctor himself is a nice guy. Can’t keep up with his patients but still a nice guy. He asked me how my treatments were going and who administered them… uhh you did? And the billing is insane. Prices are insane. I had a terrible migraine during an appointment waited one hour to see him (be prepared to wait an hour each time or more) then he said there’s nothing I can do while you’re having a migraine gave me a toradol and sent me home. No joke I saw him for 30 seconds and they charged me 300 $ for a pain pill and 150 $ office visit… are you kidding me?!? You saw me for 30 seconds and sent me away. He took an hour to see me, then gone and I have to pay $ 150 for that?! Every time I went I had to give him my whole story again, it’s called notes. I understand high patient volume, but to walk in a room get my name wrong then tell me why you think I have something when I don’t then say oh you’re not her… really? Like I said a nice guy, but prices were never discussed even after 2 emails and a request for prices no one disclosed anything with me… not a fan. They gave me migraines instead of fixing them. Won’t return. When billed they hit me for more visits than I actually went to… they referred back to sign in sheet and apologized. Okay, cool. However now I have to wait 30 days for a new bill while the other bill will be considered 30 days late. It’s a mess, like I said gave me migraines.

You Unilocalers are confusing the heck out of me! My wife and I are big foodies, so we decided it’s better to read peoples Unilocal reviews AFTER we try something out! Our favorite places usually only get two stars. Allow me to re-​iterate, my wife and have palates. The reason I say this and I am writing this review is because I myself am a business man and after the horrible experience I had last week with a supposed TMJ specialist. Today, on the other hand, I met Dr. Eli and I have say from the moment I walked in I felt more relaxed. Good vibes if you know what I mean. Beautiful tropical arrangements! Being the type that likes to chat, I commented on them to the receptionist, Yvette, that they were very nice. She told me they change them weekly. Nice touch. After a considerable but not exaggerated amount of time we, my wife who is a doctor, were led to an office by a lovely young lady named Melissa who was typing her butt off and actually listened! When she was finished she led us to another office to wait for the doc.
That’s when the real fun started! Originally my wife was to do all the talking, me being untrusting of doctors. This guy was so unlike EVERY other doctor I have ever seen. Did I mention that I have had MS for the last 18 years or so. He listened, more importantly he heard what I said and came up with a very simple treatment plan. Going back for a check up in a week.

I saw Dr. Eli for an facial. He used an cool spray and came up with a diagnosis and recommend injection. The cool spray actually can have an implication on his diagnosis as well. The exam was less then 5 min, he had no desire to look at my digital images and he did not feel my face or neck. Not a great exam that day.
I will say his diagnosis was partly correct but partially wrong as well but if he order an MRI it would have had it all the way correct.
My issue is he suggest treatment that would have been very pricey and not covered by insurance. There were other opinions that he could have refereed out to that that insurance would have covered. AS well his diagnosis was partly correct but actually wrong. I really DO NOT like that… Look like money is number 1 to me for Dr. Eli.
I as well don’t like it to this company around 2 months from them to send payment back…
I personally would NEVER go to him again or recommended this doctor.
In my mind and experince there is a much better facial pain dentist in San Diego. That other dentist helped so much by sending me to other specialist/​doctors.
My visit and experience with Dr. Eli is he is all about the money and not patient care.

He really explained things thoroughly for me. He thinks outside of the box and isn’t just sticking me into the tmj file where most maxillofacial doctors would. I’m excited to get the relief I’ve needed for so long.

Terrible. I am going to file a dental board complaint. I went to him for TMJ. I only went to him because he was the only dentist that would work with my medical insurance. My insurance negotiated payment before my treatment began. I went to my first appointment and was disappointed because I knew this wasn’t good. Dr Eli was rude and uncaring. I didn’t fell as though he ever really examined me. He ordered and I received a night guard.
After my treatment Dr. Eli billed me an additional $ 1100. This was never discussed prior to the treatment. In reviewing what he agreed to charge the insurance company I discover he over-​billed and the insurance company paid. I brought that to the attention of the office manager and she gave me $ 800 off. I am sure this is because they didn’t want me to to the insurance company. After wearing it for 6 months I began to have constant ear pressure. By then my treatment with Dr. Eli was completed.
After about a year I discontinued wearing the night guard. The ear pressure went away. I went to my regular dentist and he asked me why I wasn’t wearing my night guard. I showed it to him. He was astounded. He couldn’t believe that a TMJ doctor gave me such a bad product. The said there was no way to adjust the night guard Dr. Eli gave me because it was so poorly made.

Dr Eli treated me for post-​accident neck pain. He has an understanding of pain that VERY few doctors have — clearly his training is above what my internist has, because Dr. Eli got to the cause of my problem in one appointment. He isn’t afraid to recommend broader therapies, such as massage or healing touch, to complement traditional medical therapies and medication. I highly recommend him for head or neck pain. He knows what he’s doing!

I was gouged for money by this business. I spent way more money than was reasonable for the services rendered in my opinion. I was treated very disrespectfully by the dentist (Dr Eli), and it took over a year to get reimbursed by his office, after my insurance company paid them also. (I had to pay out of pocket up front in other words). Their office policies, that no other dental or medical office I know of uses, delayed this reimbursement. I had a horrible experience in every way here. In the end, his sleep apnea apparatus did not help me at all, $ 4000 out of pocket later.

He helps with all of my pain needs… very personal!!!
