This beach sucks sweaty surfer balls. Seriously. Too many hot girls in G-strings and cool locals who clean up after your tourist trash. The sunsets suck too, WTF is up with all those pretty colors? I want my money back. Do us all a favor and go to Moonlight instead. Even better, PB or Oceanside. D Street is to f’n sandy anyways.

Well. I must say I like this beach more than la jolla beach. Very clean, enough parking spot, and not that crowded.

This place is great. Always nice to compare coasts being from the east. The cultures are so different. The beach is really nice, but so different from the other side of the country. People seem to be very friendly, but sometimes indifferent. Nice area and a great refuge in between travel and work.

D Street is my favorite part of the beach to hang out at! It’s not nearly as busy as moonlight, although parking can still be tricky to get(as you have to park on the street in residential neighborhoods). You can surf in this part of the beach and there’s a lifeguard tower right next to the stairs if you ever need it.

This is a great stretch of beach. I specifically liked the privacy it offered slightly south of the Moonlight Beach with a well maintained entrance and stairs leading down to the beach from the street above( ). The sand if fine and the water quite clear from not having so many bathers stirring it up( ). Taking off my sandaIs and getting my feet wet, I was able to take an undisturbed walk a mile down the beach on the waters edge, where I left my mark that I was there, just to be washed away a few minutes later( ). This particular stretch of beach does have a life guard on station, but more as you get closer to Moonlight. The view point a top provides some seating and it is the perfect spot to view the sunset. It is quite romantic. D Street Beach is a popular destination for surfers and such, so if you have not surfed the waves here, It’s a good spot. Love this beach!

Not very crowded. I love the bench at the top of the stairs where I can just stare out at the ocean and day dream!

Gorgeous!!! Jeffy and I decided to take a stroll down to the beach before our Elite dinner. A couple blocks from 101 and off D Street(DUH) and lots of street parking available. There’s a little platform where there’s benches to overlook the cliffs. There are wooden stairs that transcends down to the beautiful sands and ocean. I noticed that there’s a shower to rinse off before coming up the stairs to street level. How cool is that?! Go on a clear and sunny day!

This place seems to be a locals beach. My cousins grew up here so they wanted to take me here. Great views, clean, great surf depending on time of year, friendly people for the most part. Looking for good food, Kealani’s or the pizza place right next door are worth a visit
