My wife spends a lot of time at her computer for work. Dr Anshel made suggestions and a new prescription that have helped TREMENDOUSLY! She is able to spend more time working and less time with headaches… He also helped me with a condition(dry eye) that I didn’t know I had… They were constantly watering, so the last thing I thought was«dry»! We are both much better off after having seen Dr Anshel… Sometimes you really do «get what you pay for» Thanx Doc!

Just got your response. 1– Your perception had transposed the lenses for each eye. 2– costco may be less expensive, but calling them a discount house is like calling Mercedes a low quality vehicle. When a business makes a mistake, own the mistake– don’t make it worse by telling the customer they are wrong. They will write Unilocal reviews. (Rude office staff isn’t a help either)

I went in for a simple pair or reading glasses as I was looking for a step up in quality from the Costco over-the-counter readers I had been buying for years. Long story short, it took 4 to 5 trips for Dr Anshel to get it right. These were trips to his office, trips to Costco with the new prescription each time to make the glasses, and trips back to Costco to pick up the finished glasses. Costco, amazingly, replaced the first four pairs at no cost even though it was not their prescription, but said there would be no more free replacements. When I informed Dr Anshel of this, he agreed that he would pay for the next pair and low and behold he finally got it right. But really, 4 – 5 attemps for simple readers? He also charged me a second exam even after he agreed to perform it at no additional cost due to all the problems. It took about a month for him to finally refund this charge. Save yourself some grief and find a different eye doctor.

Terrible Customer Experience. I have never been a patient of Dr Anschel but have bought glasses here many times. I just bought a pair in February 2013. I returned in March 2014 because one of my lenses was scratched. I noticed the scratch several months earlier however it appeared to get worse. The women in charge of fitting glasses informed me that the lenses was not scratched but that the coating was peeling off. She went on to tell me that it was due to a previous employee using a poor quality lab. Additionally she was unable to find my purchase record something she also blamed on a prior employee. With my help she was able to determine the glasses were bought 13 months earlier and were therefore out of warranty. I decided to have the lenses replaced. I was quoted a price of $ 525.00 which was reduced to $ 275.00 the result of my having vision insurance. I was stunned by the price!!! I decided on the spot to leave with my glasses in hand. Why on earth would I spend so much to replace lenses at a place that admitted to using an inferior lab! I went to Costco and asked for a quote on the replacement. I was quoted $ 122.00 and that was without even using my insurance. They recommended that I save the insurance benefit for when I purchase my replacement contact lenses as the savings would be more beneficial. All I can say is buyer beware. These guys are marking up their inferior product at an astronomical rate.

We have been going to Dr. Anshel’s office for the last 8 years and have had a wonderful experience. He is very thorough with his examinations, and puts us at ease about any concerns.

Dr Anshel is not an ordinary optometrist. In addition to helping you find the ideal prescription, he focuses on preventative care, such as nutrition and diet. I never realized until the Doctor took the time to explain it to me– but diet is crucial to extending the quality and longevity of your eyesight. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does is contagious. Until I «saw» Dr Anshel, I always thought of going to an optometrist as a routine, boring chore that I would dread. A visit to his office proved to me that nothing could be further from the truth! Visit his office and you will see what I mean.
