One of my favorite Mexican Food fast food places. Family owned since the beginning. The soup is a must and what most go for.

It’s good but not my favorite. They do have decent burritos and their chicken soup(their claim to fame) IS good, but there are better options. I’ll hit Jorge’s if I’m nearby and if it’s convenient, but I won’t make a special trip to go there.

The very best Soup on the planet! Order a large. Shredded chicken in a broth that has been simmering since early morning. Add rice, cilantro, avocado and spices. They do this right. If you have lived in North County, Jorge started this at his restaurant in Leucadia years ago and when he opened up Jorges in Enicnitas on El camino and the local On Santa Fe, he brought his soup with him! Thank God. If you are ever sick, get this soup. If you ever just want amazing soup, get this soup. He also makes great food, breakfast burritos and traditional mexican food. Always busy and so sweet.

I love the California burrito! And Jorge knows that my husband and I like 4 salsas and always has them ready for us. He doesn’t mess around, he gets straight to the point and I appreciate that.

Wow! That was by FAR the smallest carne asada burrito I have ever gotten at a Mexican joint. It tasted okay but damn… It looked like a glorified taquito.

I’ve heard the chicken soup here is amazing, but I am yet to try it. I normally get the California burrito, which is really good here. San Diego is full of great burrito places, but here they use chucks of potatoes instead of French fries. It’s a nice way to change it up and makes it enjoyable. Their California burrito is also very neatly wrapped and clean to eat, which makes it enjoyable. Overall, a very good place to grab a California burrito.

This place is fire! Wonderful and sweet owner and some of the best mole I ever tasted. The chicken tasted more fresh than any chickenI had in a while and they made accommodations for my diet. I can’t wait to return.

NEVERAGAIN!!! Am I going to this restaurant, went in for the first time and it was a horrible experience! So not satisfied with the owner. He happen to be in the shop when I went in for lunch, he told me that I was holding up the line and that he was losing money by my holding up his so called«long line». No customer should be humiliated & treated like that. So unprofessional. especially to be an owner(leader) I don’t recommend it at all! If I could I wouldn’t even give this place a Star.

This is my favorite chicken soup! I don’t get the spicy one but I add their salsa to it and it makes it plenty spicy and delicious! I haven’t tried many other things on the menu but it all looks good. The service is great as well!

On my way south to san Diego I stopped at this random exit because I was hungry. My original plan was to go to the subway next door but then I noticed this place and was curious so went inside. It was a great descsion! I got 2 beef crispy tacos. They tasted so fresh. Great place. Will stop on my way back home.

Jorge, I am a regular at you El Camino location. I love the food and the people. I will never go to the Santa Fe restaurant because you are a salsa NATZI! You use to ask how many salsas 1? And that would piss me off. Don’t tell me how many I want. In fact I want 14. How about that. We need to start a petition against Salsa Nazisim!

I’ve been going to both Jorge’s for a long time, and always loved their food and service. Last Friday they really came through for me in an amazing way. I was getting food for my wife who was admitted to Scripps on Wednesday night to have labor induced for our first child. I talked to Alex at the register a bit about how we had been at the hospital for over 40 hours and still no baby. Just as I sat down to wait for our order, I got the call from my wife, it was time! Alex told me to come back the next day to get my order. When I came by the next day, everybody working there knew of my situation and started my order when I came in. It was a really nice of them to be so accommodating and it really made a difference to us at an exciting time in our lives. Thanks Jorge’s!

Not impressed. This was just a quick stop on the way to an appt. First of all, staff was pretty rude. As I walked up to the counter to order, he turned around and walked into the back. Right on! Second– my water was discolored– yellowish maybe? Definitely didn’t drink any of it as I was pretty grossed out. Third– ordered the tostada because I’m trying to pick something just a bit healthier — errr no flavor, not enough chicken for the price you pay. Needless to say, we probably won’t be back.

Below average quality Mexican food here pairs well with poor customer service. The guy at the counter did not crack a smile for any of the many customers that came in here. Food was also not very good at all. I got the rolled taco plate that came with beans, rice, and a drink. It was the Thursday special for $ 6.25. The rolled tacos only came with guacamole that was more runny than creamy. They were actually pretty good. The beans were very bland and needed some salt. The rice was dry but had potential for flavor. They have coke products here. Their water from the soda machine came out brown tinged(see picture). There are a few seats outside and some inside as well. The chairs aren’t very comfortable outside, but it is shaded. Parking isn’t bad at all. We won’t be back here for a second try.

I figured id try this current 4 star place since I stopped by the hospital across the street. I ordered a Adobada burrito and my partner on the ambulance ordered a cali burrito. After I got my burrito i didnt wait for my partner and went straight to the ambulance to eat since I was really hungry. My partner come out telling me they gave his burrito to me and so we traded. Next thing I know the guy at the cashier comes out holding another burrito and tells my partner the one he handed to him was the wrong burrito. So I hand the guy the burrito and he gives the other one to my partner. I take a bite of mine and sure enough it was a bean and cheese. I take the burrito back and they replaced it with a «adobada» burrito but before so, one of the guys in the back says, «are you sure»? I mean come on who doesn’t know what a bean and cheese burrito is or tastes like! Furthermore he shook his head and I never got an apology. So I take a couple bites out of it and of coarse its wrong again! They put carnitas with some type of red sauce which is clearly not adobada. At that point i gave up and figured Id try to give then a no star rating but unfortunately I cant. Beyond terrible service! Last but not least, what kind of mexican food place does not have hot sauce? All they had was chunky salsa!

tip: smart mouth service but otherwise very quick. Can’t emphasize how great the salsa is(have to ask for it if they don’t offer it). Perfect consistency, not watery. Perfect amount of heat. This maybe the best salsa in the area. No wonder they have no salsa bar! Had the beef chimichanga which was good. Had beans, sour cream, cheese, guac. one star off because it hardly has any seating.

Stopped by Jorge’s today and thought it was pretty good. I ordered the California burrito, which is usually the staple of what I order. I normally choose that first and expand to other things on future visits. The carne asada was pretty tasty, and tasted different from other local Mexican spots near my area. The fries are a bit unusual but taste pretty good. They come in potato chunks and have pretty good taste to it. Food is pretty good and I really don’t have any complaints. One thing I wish was a bit better was their salsa. I didn’t care too much for it and was hoping for a better compliment. Other than that, no complaints. The burrito was $ 5.75 so it’s decent.
