Orange Blossom Salon

Perhaps my expectations were high as i read many glowing reviews. I agree with reviewer Lyneah, as i walked in to Orange. this salon. is. dirty. I went in for base color touch up. one week later looks mediocre. (update: 10 days later and I’ll need to get this fixed– looks terrible base touch root color doesn’t match!) The shampoo experience was unremarkable– no scalp massage. The blow out was meh– no style really, no offer of flat iron or curling iron waves. For $ 75+ tip there are a plethora of salons here in Encinitas, i cannot recommend Orange.

I was so glad that I got to see Jamie to cut my hair. She listened well to what I wanted and she «corrected» a cut that another salon had given me that their stylist wanted to give me and NOT what I had asked for. Don’t you hate that. Jamie is correcting my hair to the way that I want it. I think that I will need to get a couple more «corrective» cuts before I am fully satisfied with my hair. In the meantime, Jamie knows what she is doing and I am very happy with the results that I see while my hair is growing out. I will visit her again soon as she is one of the happiest people that I know with great cutting and hair styling skills. See you soon Jamie! :D

I am new in town and of course was nervous about going to an unknown person to cut my hair. I saw Shelby today and she was wonderful. She gave me exactly the haircut I asked for it is flattering and just the right length. She also gave me suggestions for color which we planned to do on my next visit. Shelby is friendly and sweet. The price is reasonable and the salon basic and comfortable. Definitely recommended.

Love this place! Friendly, professional stylists, everyone is made to feel welcome here. The salon is very nice, clean stations, great energy. Special shout out to Carlie who has been taking care of my hair for the past 6 months. My hair was in the caring hands of Diane in Poway for over 20 years until she moved out of state. Carlie took very special care of me and I am happy to say I am looking forward to a very long relationship with Carlie!

Salon is old and dirty inside and super small and awkward when you walk in.
I don’t want to name names but I had a recent appointment that didn’t go great in my eyes. Walked in with a real balayage from another salon and a straight lengthed lob. I wanted to tone down my blonde ends with a darker color and balayage some pieces in. Balayage and foils are not the same! When the stylist broke out the foils I wanted to run. I should have known better. I have foiled streaks in my hair now and my color is the same! I mentioned it was the same and the stylist said my hair was a 9 when I walked in and now it’s a 7 on the color scale. I asked for a trim and ended up with a Jennifer Aniston 1990s layered cut. Not happy with the cut and not happy that I will have to find someone else to make my hair the color I wanted. A tip for the salon/​stylist: if you are going to blow dry someone with thick, curly hair, use product! Don’t leave your client in a chair with a shitty blow out and walk away. I had to ask for them to flat iron my hair out bc it looked like shit. **imagine yourself in my chair and imagine yourself walking out of the salon with hair unfinished and looking dry. Would you feel good about yourself? I’ll never be going back.

It’s a great salon! I’ve had my hair done by Shelby a few times now, blonde highlights and a cut, and she is great! She always does what I ask for and she is such a sweetheart! The salon itself is very cute too and has a little garden/​waterfall area to relax in while your hair processes. Definitely recommended!!!

Since I’m on vacation here I needed to find a salon where I could get my hair cut and colored. I checked the Unilocal reviews for Encinitas and I picked the Orange Blossom Salon. It was the best decision I could have made. Ashley is a great stylist and the cut and color she gave me is better than what I get at home. I was totally pleased and enjoyed our conversation as much as her skill and artistry in hair. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Ashley. I wish I could take her home with me.

I saw Shelby and she is super sweet and attentive. I would highly recommend her services. I have tried at least 5 salons here in North County, and the blonde highlights Shelby did look natural and have lasted months. She does free bang trims and if there’s anything you don’t love about your cut, she’ll fix it without a second thought. She is also affordable, but her services are top-​notch. Go see her, you won’t be disappointed.

I have gone to Lisa twice for the keratin treatment, and I will never go to anyone else but her. She does an extremely thorough job, and the treatment lasts for months. She is also so friendly!

I have to give my stylist Carlie a shout out! For years I have been going to her and have never done a Unilocal review. Shame on me! Carlie makes my hair absolutely amazing. I’ve had her do everything from pixie cuts, layering, hair coloring, etc. And now she will be styling my hair for my wedding day. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Or to anyone else. She is punctual, professional, polite, and very very talented.

I have been searching for a new hair salon since my last stylist moved to AZ. Of course, I scoured the Unilocal reviews to guide me and I am so thankful that my fellow reviewers have made this salon stand out. Carlie did my hair today and I feel like a new woman. She fixed the dried out and yellowed ends, gave me a beautiful color job and a gorgeous pixie cut. Carlie is friendly and very skilled as well as sweet. Call her, you won’t be disappointed.

Super cute place, very comfortable and friendly. Shelby did my hair for the first time and I love it! She was very friendly and skilled and knew exactly what to do and did exactly what I asked for. Total sweetheart, I’ll be back for every haircut.

So glad I found this place… Carlie always does a wonderful job on my difficult-​to-​work-​with hair! She really takes her time on your hair and makes sure you’re happy with the result, which I always am. The salon itself is very cute and they have a sweet little dog named Nana to keep you company.

Jamie Rosa at Orange Blossom in Leaucadia is the only person I let touch my head whether it be for an occasional trim or more recently my wedding. When it comes to your hair she is an artist who can twist braids to make your hair whimsical or romantic curls to last all day. I felt like Khaleesi from Game of Thrones while my little flower girl had exactly what she wanted… upside down French braid and messy bun. She keeps the conversation flowing, I could have sat in the chair for hours. She is the sweetest stylist and cute as a button!

Can’t say enough good things about Carlie! I went in with a really botched haircut, some people just do not know what do do with curly hair, and she was able to fix it and add some beautiful color for summer!
I’m stoked on the cut and color for a fresh summer look :)
It’s super scary to get your hair cut by anyone new, especially after a bad experience somewhere else, but Carlie will take the time to hear you out and give you her recommendations. Absolutely LOVE my hair!

I’ve been coming here on a semi regular basis for a few years, and Jamie has always done such an amazing job! I always leave feeling like a new woman ;) she’s so professional, quick, and entertaining! I love how she always knows what to do with my hair and makes it feel healthier too!

I love this salon! The women and atmosphere of the salon is so laid back, fun, and very professional. The stylist I go to see is Carlie. She is very sweet and is amazing at what she does.
First of all making an appointment is very easy and convenient. Also Carlie makes you feel extremely comfortable while chatting and taking care of your hair. She provides great feed back and recommendations about different ideas and styles for your hair. The end result is always amazing! I am extremely pleased with Carlie and will continue to return for her to do my hair!

I adore this place so much! Jamie Rosa is such a great hairdresser. The vibe in the salon is cute and welcoming. It’s light and airy. I’m a wedding coordinator and send all my bridal parties to the salon!
