Empire Chinese Restaurant

i went here a few times about 10 years ago and i remember it being pretty good. a couple recent visits still confirmed that. the fried wontons were a bit too greasy, but the meat was good and they weren’t too hard to chew, and the sweet and sour sauce that came with them was great, probably some of the best i’ve had around here, i dunno why someone else on here claimed that it was as flavorful as water with red food coloring. the beef teriyaki had a good flavor and it was pretty tender. the wings are just standard, but the crab rangoon was pretty good, as are the eggrolls. the ribs have a decent flavor but the texture can range from good to a little too chewy. the pork fried rice is ok, good amount of meat and an ok flavor, but it also has peas and carrots in it, which i don’t care for. i tried the orange chicken and the texture was ok, the sauce had a good flavor but i wish there would have been more sauce on it. overall i would give it a 3.5, if you’re in endwell, go for it, but since i live 25 minutes away, i don’t really feel the urge to go out of my way for it, but it is good.

Positively the WORST chinese food ever. The egg rolls are half the size of any egg roll i’ve ever had before and were bland and mostly cabage. The sweet and sour sauce was as thin and flavorful as water with red food coloring and the pork that went with the sauce was so heavily peppered that u could not taste anything else. The general tso was soggy and tasted closer to american bbq sauce then any tso i’ve tried else where, and it lacked even a fient note of heat. And the shrimp and lobster sauce had maybe 6 shrimp and a couple of the imitation crab chunks. The entire bill came out to$ 33 dollars for 2 egg rolls and three dishes. The last place i went to on the other side of town was 1000x better and almost $ 10 less. Save your money and get the super market chinese instead of this imo.

My favorite Chinese place in Endwell. Great service and the food is always good.
