Basically a whole department store packed into like 5,000 square feet. Everything from food, tools, pool supplies, clothing, lawn & garden, pet food, etc. It’s hard to leave without finding something or engaging in a conversation with a psychotic woman with a mustache about T-shirt sizes. Great place for tarps and cheap painting supplies. A lot of stuff is no-name brand so keep in mind quality. Cashier could of been more friendlier, but I’ll let her slide because she charged me $ 5 for the $ 20 worth of stuff I bought. She was busy talking with another co-worker about secretive job lot type stuff I’ll never understand.

Honestly, I never really venture in to an Ocean State Job Lot as it’s a lot of ‘almost expired foods’ and random bits and bobs that I don’t really need. This one was no different. I know they do, however sell a big selection of Bob’s Red Mill products, and I was looking for millet. Otherwise, it’s very cluttered, very messy! A few good deals, depending on what you’re looking for, but otherwise, I’m sure you can find better quality goods at a grocery store or another department store. I didn’t stay long, quickly walking around the mounds of stuff and slow walking people. I’m not saying I’d never go back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for what I’m looking for.

I’m a huge fan of Ocean State Job Lot. I swing by their various locations mainly for dog-related items. You can grab treats and toys for a fraction of the price you’d pay anywhere else. Hell, if my dog is just going to rip it apart anyway, I don’t want to pay more than $ 2. They have everything from driveway sealant to oregano. However, this is probably my least favorite location. It can get insanely busy at times, which isn’t made any better by how cramped this location is. Also, why were only two cash registers open when lines were stretching down the aisles? Still, it’s worth it for the savings.
