Snooks Bayside Bar & Grill

Big disappointment. It took 50 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. When it did arrive some of it was cold and some of it was hot. The clams were cooked perfectly, the cod was undercooked and sweet potato fries cold. We wouldn’t have minded the wait if the server had taken care of us. But we refilled our own drinks, went up to the server station and got our own catsup and took the bill up ourselves. I’ve been here two or three times before because a couple of my friends like it and I have never minded. But it took 2 ½ hours to order, Be served and eat a fried fish sandwich.

This place is awesome! Hidden gem with great food & friendly fast service! We arrived for a gorgeous sunset over the inter coastal and in time to enjoy happy hour prices on beer & wine! Saw dolphins frolicking as we ate our yummy food — highly recommend the steak salad… it was THE BOMB! Soooo tasty and the steak was perfect and plentiful! We loved it so much that we returned the next day for lunch (burgers) which were also very good. Whether you arrive by boat or car, it’s worth it to find Snooks at this lil marina.

This is a fun place with great pub style food. The location is right on the water. The beer is always cold, and the staff is friendly and very attentive.
Try one of their PoBoy sandwiches for a real taste treat. All the food is great here, and the staff and clientele are quirky and interesting.
Only down side is the lack of parking. Have to get there early to get a parking space.

Great place on the water. Close to downtown but feel as if I am miles away in the Florida Keys while having my meal by the water. Great food. Relaxing. Must stop place in Englewood.

We didn’t feel out of place rolling in with a little bit of a sand in our hair, clothes slightly damp from our bathings suits after a day at the beach. The setting is casual and the view is beautiful. You can walk around the outside of the restaurant, dock side and take photos. Amongst our party, we had the Snook’s burger, cod basket, coconut shrimp basket, and the caperese salad. All parties were very satisfied with their food and it helped that the food was priced reasonably. I admit, I love to dip my french fries in ranch dressing and the ranch I wasn’t a fan of the ranch I had. But, the ranch won’t stop me from coming back!

Nothing unusual, but the view was nice. Ordered fries with no salt. When dish came fries were loaded with salt. Waitress was nice. Asked in kitchen. Kitchen said cannot do, so I ate half my husbands burger instead of fries.

Snooks is just my kind of place! Visited friends who live in Englewood and they took us there.
First of all they have a pretty extensive menu and they cook out of FOOD TRUCK! Amazing the quality and the variety they serve. I had tacos, one each of fish, pork and beef — all very flavorful and tasty. Their service is speedy too. If it is crowded, it may take a bit to get your food but it is worth the wait, what is your rush? Enjoy and ice cold beverage and conversation.
The prices are very reasonable… try it you won’t be disappointed. Oh and take in the sunset while there.

This is our favorite place to hang out in Englewood. Great food, cold beer, fantastic setting. We’ve tried several items on the menu & have never been disappointed. Staff is always friendly & the service is great. Five stars!

I ordered a bacon wrapped cheese dog — or «the rivers end» and thought it’d be awesome. The bacon was not cooked at all «the river end» burns it your mouth with out jalapeño. The chips were the only good thing.

Tricky to locate, as the signage isn’t the best – but the food and service were great! Blackened grouper sandwich was tasty. Also enjoyed the Caribbean wings. The sweet potato fries were a hit as well. Great local place!

Found this place when coming home from Manasota Beach. Inside or outside waterfront dining, overlooking the marina, with Manasota Key in the background. Very good food. Service was excellent. Live music at the bar at 12 noon.

Don’t let the residential streets or the commercial marina or the run down façade fool you. If you’re looking for waterfront dining w spectacular sunsets, casual atmosphere, and really good food, look no further.
And if you happen to come on one of the two nights a week when Tim happens to be working, I can assure you that you will also have excellent service. No doubt the other servers do just fine as well.
Our food was almost all excellent. Grouper dinner, grouper sandwich, ahi tuna salad, fries and rings, and the key lime pie and warm pineapple upside-​down cake were all top notch. The bill was a bit more than we expected, around $ 35pp w tip, so be prepared for that unless you plan to drink water and forego any appetizer or dessert. But not complaining — we definitely got our money’s worth.
And we went about an hour before sunset and scored big time.
We’ll be back next time we’re in town…

Really good fish tacos and try the fabulous extreme beans. Boy are they good… nice view of the gulf.

This is a definite Southern, Florida waterfront gem. Awesome views of Lemon Bay, no-​frills bar and grill with the unexpected treat of gourmet style food. I. come here at least once a week, the Snook burger, formally known as the poor man’s burger is perfect for a late lunch. Their burgers in general are very good and can be cooked to order which is a rare find nowadays. They use high-​quality products, great produce and fresh seafood. Can also come by boat.

Absolutely fantastic place for dinner. The very essence of Gulf Shore dining in Florida. My family (Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Grandfather, Son) went on a Tuesday night. Everyone at the table loved their meal. Several of us said it was easily the best meal we have had in this region of Florida, ever.
The Ahi-​Tuna was amazing, complete with wasabi dip. My mother went crazy for the Wonton Shrimp. And my wife, who doesn’t even really care for seafood, was completely won over by the same Wontons and later by Coconut Shrimp. The view is fantastic, the wait staff prompt, polite, informed. I got to share a bite of a Blackened Grouper Sandwich that was without a doubt the best sandwich I have had in months, Grouper or otherwise.
The décor is rough, but it fits the venue. This is exactly the kind of atmosphere that one SHOULD expect in waterfront casual. Despite the rough décor, everything was clean, and the surfaces that should be polished were polished well.
If you’re in Englewood, find your way here. Treat yoself.

We love the Old Zekes/​Snooks and come here every year we’re in town visiting fam. The food is consistently great, service is friendly and efficient and the beer is cold! Not to mention the sunsets…

Awesome place the food is exactly as described on the menu, if it says an aioli then that’s what you will get with the entrée! Can’t say enough positive things about this place! JACKIE, DENISE, RACHEL, AND… lots to choose from are great! Heck I even had an issue with billing and the problem was resolved quickly and effectively! LOVE IT HERE foos is good (try the shrimp or the grilled grouper sandwich) just fab!

Reasonable pricing for what you get.

Not sure what Denise M ate on the menu, but there are plenty of great food options at Snook’s. One of my favorites is the Chicken Royale that is grilled! Shocker. I’ve also never been able to see a bar that can cook fish and chips without them being fried.
Snook’s is a nice low key bar and restaurant on the water. The sunsets here are amazing. The staff here is friendly and with the drink specials on the menu is a perfect place to come out for happy hour or dock with your boat like I do.
Snook’s will continue to be a restaurant that I eat at regularly.

In Englewood to take care of family business was trying to find a good joint on the water, serves some decent fish… I guess this place used to be Zeke’s but maybe Snook won at cards anyway at Snooks I had the best meal I had all week… hands down, walking away. Went back the following day and had the same thing. I think it was called the Mediterranean Fish Sandwich, I believe it’s the first thing on the menu. Large piece of white fish, fresh, lightly breaded, expertly fried. delicious. Wife had the fish tacos, loved em, but had the fish sandwich the next time. also had some peel and eat and some tuna, but trust me get that fish sandwich. place is chill, on the bay, open to the water, seats outside under the umbrella. if you are in the area, take the time to find it. big plus had dos equis amber
