Great 4H exhibits rides for the kids. AVOID the BBQ pit, horrible food and even more horrible prices. Shop around and visit the smaller food vendors, better food better prices.

Save your money and go to the go to the Enumclaw Street Fair the following weekend. Only a couple of commercial vendors. This fair is fallen to the bottom from its glory days and is now just a parking lot carnival with a gate.

Went to the Wine and Chocolate event… Boy, has this place gone down hill since it’s heyday when it was the King County Fair only here. Growing up in the claw, the Fair was the most anticipated event of the year in town(in the late 70’s /early 80’s). It’s now just seems to be a run down exhibition hall… Was really disappointed in this supposedly great event. It cost me $ 40 for 2 people to get into to the event. It came with 2 cheap wine glasses(the ones at the dollar store are better quality) and 6 tasting tickets(most wines were $ 2 a taste). The tastes were tiny and expensive. There were lots of booths with cheap crap for sale(nothing to do with wine or chocolate). The only thing that I really like that I tasted was the VODKA and GIN from the Carbon Glacier Distillery in Wilkeson(and they couldn’t sell their product because it wasn’t wine) — I am definitely taking a trip to visit this place! Will not be going back unless I get free tickets…

We went to the fair on Sunday this year. All the animal barns were closed and the other buildings were in the process of closing. Why did they charge us full admission and parking when the only thing available was the rides. We were not interested in the rides. When I stopped by the office on the way out, the people in the office said they were sorry, but there was nothing they could do. Will never go again!!!

LOCAL Fair, smaller than Puyallup is BETTER! Less crassly commercial, lots of 4H and FFA, a more *real* Fair. Great for families! Could use better signage and way for new folks to learn more about what’s happening, but that’s probably the tradeoff for a more human scaled event.

The KIng County Fair is the first fair of the season and one we never miss. It is smaller than the more publicized fairs but that’s it’s charm. Free parking, smaller exhibits with 4-H kids available to explain their projects. We love this fair and recommend it to all.

A small fair that is markedly inferior to the nearby Puyallup Fair. However, crowds are much smaller so you can acquire scones and parking very quickly.
